Thanks, I just have been noticing that it's not the same as a normal cycle and was worried. I haven't had any fevers that I know of to tell me that something would be wrong, but I can't always tell because the blood pressure makes my temp go up and down. It's truly annoying. LOL One second I'm freezing and stoke the fire, the next (well once my husband comes in and says that he's pretty sure the candle that isn't lit is melting) then I notice I'm burning up. Maybe I'm just weird.

I will try not to worry about it. Little man only gets up every two and a half to three hours but I am exhausted constantly. Oh and the husband thinks that it's time to start getting frisky. He pouts when I just look at him when he starts feeling up on me. What part of not for 6 weeks does he not understand? The fact that I am still discharging, exhausted, sore as heck does not phase him in the least. ARGH!

That discharge is called Lochia and is very normal. I bled for almost 6 weeks after my c section and then had a two week break before I got my first period. The Lochia does have a foul odor because it is basically old blood left from the area where the placenta was attached to the uterine wall. Wait until you get your first period, I literally hemorrhaged for 2 weeks straight, had to go to the doctor to make sure I was not anemic. They put me on progesterone to try and get the period to slow down, but I got so sick on it after the first pill, so I just let it ease up naturally. It was pretty much gone after about 15 days. They say your first period is heavy because you do not have one for so long while you are pregnant, but heavy is not the word, lol.

Ponygirl - I also swung between fever and chills for a couple of weeks after the baby was born. I first made sure that I didn't have a fever, and then I chalked it up to hormones. I asked my OB about it at my 6 week appointment (they were done by then), and she agreed. Between that and my feelings on lupron, I'm not looking forward to menopause!

Hi Ladies...I stopped Breastfeeding on Oct. 9th and I haven't yet had a period....is that normal??? How long should it be before you have a period again? I just thought I would have had one by now. NOT that I am wanting one...just curious.

KRISTAME2-I have been contemplating taking Reese to the Chiropractor as well! When I went right before I delivered, she told me to bring her in for two free visits after she's born. She said that you wouldnt believe how much it helps babies. Im skeptical as well, and am still contemplating....if you take your LO, please let me know how it goes, and what you thought, and what your LO thought about it...

AFM-Im going back to work for my first night tonight (I work 3rd) and have been crying for the whole week already. Our middle of the night feedings seem like the most close ones. She looks right into my eyes and snuggles me so close, I love those feedings, Im going to miss them soooo much!! I hope I can make it through the night ok....this sucks!

Chiming in to say that my DW and I take our LO to the chiropractor regularly. We started to take her at about 8 weeks old (she is 16 weeks now).
We took her because she was irritable, didn't like tummy time, favoured putting her head to one direction and spit up A LOT. It has worked wonders.
Before we took her she wouldn't last 2 minutes on her tummy and from day one after her first chiro appointment it went up to 7 or more minutes on her tummy. She is much less irritable, she doesn't favour one side over the other, spits up much less than before and naps better (although still has nap issues).

I see a chiropractor regularly and was nervous to bring our LO. I was afraid of them damaging her little spine or something. But it is VERY gentle. It is basically a little massage of her joints. Babies are very pliable.
And our LO loves it. She smiles at the Dr., relaxes and has even fallen asleep during adjustments.

I completely understand about the husband issue. LOL I'm a SAHM but last night I was SO exhausted from taking care of the home life and getting up every 2 hours with LJ that I gave him to daddy right after I fed him. He was clean, fed, bathed but wide awake so there wasn't any way he was going to go to sleep. I figured I might have about a hour to sleep before little man started fussing. NOPE! 20 minutes was all Daddy could handle being on his own. Poo... maybe we'll work on it some more and build up his alone time. heehee It's like working with a horse, baby steps.

I think what the issue is with the men is that they don't have confidence in themselves to be able to take care of baby. Men do not have the "mother's instinct" as we do and are afraid that they will break the baby. They will become pros before you know it and by the time the little ones are walking Daddy will have them out "showing them off". Then we will be relegated to following along holding the diaper bag and watching wistfully as Daddy and Baby get all the attention. (after all the sleepless nights and dirty diapers)

I can't wait to see LJ up on his first horseback ride! I know Daddy will be right there holding him on. He and I walked to the barn last night to see how the animals were and my little filly, Charming, was very softly and patiently "checking" LJ out. She was being so gentle with him, I have a feeling that she will be HIS horse one of these days. I have to train her first, but she was the most interested in him than the others. Except the stallion, Daddy was holding the baby and must not have had him wrapped properly or something, because the stallion reached out and nipped him on the finger. (Daddy not baby) The funny thing is that this stallion NEVER bites anyone, except Darren and myself and it's only a little "love bite" to see what he can get away with. I always pop him in the nose when he tries and he never actually bites me, but Darren on the other hand doesn't have the reflexes to pop him when he starts to nip. Well, last night he did pop him and the stallion hung his head and looked at us as if to say "Daddy got me... I can't believe it ... Daddy got me" It's always fun here on the farm. LJ loves going to the barn and hearing the animals greet him. I'll stop blabbering now.
