Linteach-Its been 10 weeks since my delivery, and I have yet to have a period. I am 80% formula feeding and 20% breastfeeding. And Dh and I havent gotten busy since I was attempting to bring on labor...LOL. I breastfeed Reese once I get home from work in the morning during the week and throughout the nights on the weekends. I would definately test though!
Please keep us posted

We also have an eyeroller in our household. No so much the shaking as really strong jerking reflex. Sometimes she jerks so hard, she startles herself lol

Hi -

Well, the doctor hadn't heard of the Tylenol thing in regards to the shots. But, she said that they don't like to give the babies shots beforehand. Well, Lily did great for the first 3 hours, then she woke up SCREAMING in pain! So, I gave her Tylenol, after 2 hours of soothing her, and she seems to be calming down. Although, every 10 minutes or so, she wakes up screaming again. This is rough. Did anyone do sugar water to help calm their little ones? I've read about it, but the nurse said they wouldn't recommend it. I don't know why. If anyone has done it, and it works, can you let me know how to make it. Also...any other calming ideas that you guys used after the shots would be great.

Thanks,
Kari

Ok, so does anyone know when babies start sleeping more then 2-3 hours a time at night? I look forward to the day I can put my sweet pea to bed and get more then 2-3 hours of sleep at a time.
My other children are so much older I can't remember hardly any of this stuff.

YEAH KT09.....that is great about Sadie sleeping!! I bet you feel so much better too!! I have been super spoiled with Kendall. She LOVES to sleep. She has slept through the night since 7 weeks old. (I hope I didn't just jinx myself.) As for the preg. test...I am going to wait and see what happens next week. My DH thinks it may be delayed due to being stressed being back at work and having to do Parent/Teacher Conferences. So I will see how it goes having next week OFF!!!!

So, I have to vent...I'm 8 weeks post delivery now and was given the green light at 6 weeks to get back into action with DH. As much as I'm nervous about it being painful, I'm really really REALLY ready (apparently my libedo has stayed heightened from pregnancy because it was never like this before). My DH is not ready though . He says he doesn't know how to feel comfortable with my mom staying with us and what we will do with our dogs (we usually kick them out of the room). My mom keeps the baby most nights to let us sleep, so the baby in the room with us is not an issue, and her room is upstairs and we are downstairs. I did find some of those male enhancement pills around that he has been taking since the day I delivered practically. From being in the delivery room and what he saw he's worried about me being bigger (way to make me feel good about myself). I asked him if that is still the issue and he says no, but I'm not sure I believe that. I feel a little selfish, but I'm the one who just had a baby and if I"m ready to go already shouldn't he be too?!?! So frustrating. Our anniversary is in January and we are going away to Vegas, and I'm really hoping he doesn't want to wait until then.

Please tell me I'm not the only one dealing with this. I miss being close to my husband and just want a little bit of normalcy in that department. We didn't do anything for most of my pregnancy and it feels like its been forever. (Sorry if this is TMI!)

thank you all so much for your input on the eyerolling thing...one other thing

i am maybe nursing four times a day or more for about 6 min each side then i pump and get only 2-3 oz...i tried nursing more often but she's not having it..it doesn't seem to fill her up enough.

so straight from the hospital we were supplementing each nursing with 2oz of Similac Advance with Immunity Shield with Iron, well she seemed to do ok but was constantly gassy seeming so i tried the Enfamil Lipil for the past 2 days, she ate it fine but only pooped once each day and it was "ALOT" and thicker than usual...and she seemed to strain to do it..it wasn't what would be considered constipated but ... i guess i'm not too happy about how it seemed.

i bought the Enfamil Gentle Ease and want to try that..has anyone tried it and does anyone have an opinion about the once a day poo ...lol sorry

We also started with the enfimil lipils, went on to gentle ease for Reese's gassyness and spitting up. It helped some, but not much. We then went on to Similac Isomil Advance Soy. http://similac.com/baby-formula/similac-isomil-advance-soy That has seemed to help alot with all that stuff. She is also having one poop a day, sometimes a day and a half, and its much thicker that with the other stuff, but doesnt seem to cause her much discomfort, though she does grunt its just pretty sticky and OMG SUPER STINKY! ive been told thats from the soy. Good luck, and I hope you find something that works for the little one

I breastfeed Lily about 90% of the time, but at night, I give her formula most of the time. I had to switch from Similac Advance to Enfamil GentleEase, because of gas too. So far, it has been better, but it's hard to tell really. As far as her poop, she only goes like every other day. The pediatrician said this is because she's mostly breastfed, and with that, they like to soak up everything they get, so there's not much waste. I thought she might be constipated, but it's not hard when it does come out, so I guess she's ok. Seems like it does cause her some pain occassionally though. Has anyone else experienced their baby only going every two days?

Jo~ Reese is SOO cute!! I can't beleive they are changing so fast.

Kendall is also on Similac Isomil Soy. She usually poops once a day, and it sure is stinky. She too grunts, and my DH and I laugh...it is so cute!! I think the soy has helped quite a bit with the spitting up and gas. She seems much more happy!!

Connor is on soy. We were doing the similac isomil but we are now using parent choice soy. It is a walmart brand. Our pedi used that brand with her twins. It is FDA regulated and it is the exact same thing, but WAY cheaper. It onl comes in powder but I get a 25 ounce can for 13.68...10.00 cheaper than the similac.
Just a little tip for ya. Youcan go to their website and compare the products... also, if you call them you can request a 3.00 off coupon...and if you call once a month, they will send you one every month.
