What size take me home outfit?

So.. I have found this adorable outfit that I love. The brand runs a tiny small, not much. Its on sale, and Im going to buy it. question is, what size?

My singletons have been 7 lbs 8 oz, and 7 lbs 12 ozs. Now these are twins. Should I be getting size newborn?? or will that be too big with twins??? how do you predict this whe you dont know how long youre going to carry?

Or should I just get o-3 hoping to get more use out of it?? my due date is march 24th, so still cool in CA. the outfit is a footie.

With my DS he was reported to be over 7 pounds, when he was born he was 6lbs15oz, and we used a newborn and it was huge on him, my mom had bought some preemie onsies on accident and I didn't have a chance to take them back to the store and found when we got home they fit perfectly! So I would say if you are having twins i would get preemie or newborn. And as for more use out of it, I ended up putting up his outfit he came home in and he never wore it again, silly I know but I wanted to save it for him for when he is older.

My twins were big,at 7 lbs and 5 lbs 10 oz and I had so much newborn stuff that I swear they grew out of in a week or 2.they are now 7 months old in size 18 months and if I had it to do over I'd buy 0 to 3 months to start out.

I am having a problem deciding sizes too...My first was 6 lbs 9 oz and my second was 8lbs 5oz so I have no clue if this one will be on the smaller or bigger size so just for the take home outfit and his/her Xmas outfit (I have a feeling he/she will be here early) I went with a NB size that goes up to 10lbs (forgot the name of the company...it is an Organic clothing company I found thru Amazon) but figured I am safe with this size. Almost everything else I bought has been 3-6M..you can roll up sleeves and legs if need be but you can't add to the outfit.

If it's super cute and you love that outfit, I would buy a size up so you can enjoy them wearing it several times. Since this is your first experience with twins, the weight will be unpredictable. I bought a NB size going home outfit & my DD came early, 34wk 6days and was 3lbs 9oz at going home day. She swam in preemie size.

Congrats on your twins & hope all goes well with delivery!

I bought a ton of preemie stuff for my twins because I assumed they would be small and early. My twins were born at term at exactly thirty seven weeks and my daughter was 7lbs 10oz and my son was 6lbs 14oz. Neither of them fit in any of the preemie stuff. I would say newborn to ten pounds would do the trick. Best of luck.

My son was 7 lbs 10 oz, 20.5 inches long and was swimming in newborn stuff. He was able to wear newborn until he was 10 pounds (about three weeks), even though the tags said up to 8 or 8.5 pounds. I think you would be very safe getting newborn. I think 0-3 will probably be way too big to bring home in, especially in a footie. My son is now almost 11 pounds and the 0-3 month clothes are pretty baggy on him.

Congratulations on your twins and good luck!

Oh thanks so much everybody! The twins world is exciting and new and I really appreciate all the advice on size. I think Im going to stick to NB and then make my husband rush out shopping if they come early enough to be really small. Thank you so much, again.

I bought newborn for my son, he was 7 lbs. 3 oz. and it was huge. Wish I had got a premie and newborn since the outfit was so cute.
