LP loves pickles also - before he had teeth I would hold them up to his mouth and he would suck them dry, lol! Now I cut them up into little pieces and he eats them all up too.

AM - Alex has 4 theeth and he can disassemble an apple in no time... it's just too funny to watch him...

Just saying Hi and welcome back AM.

So much to think about today. LP turning up his nose at PB&J at school and you having to deliver a full Italian Dinner to the school cafeteria.

Alex tearing through an apple like the Tasmanian Devil spitting seeds as he goes.

Unfortunately we have had to really start watching what G eats. He has eczema on his back, bottom and behind his knees. He has to go for allergy tests next month. But for now he will eat ANY fruit or vegetable you put in front of him and he literally salivates when he sees fries or onion rings.

Good luck on the NT scan. I go to the RE tomorrow to talk baby #2!

AM, I thought you found out early with LP and then had it confirmed later - let's hope the same is true this time. We are still thinking pink right?!

Robin, so far Ethan is loving his food. Since we just started I can't say that he dislikes anything but I'm sure he will in time. As for pickles, they've been a favorite of mine (except when I was pregnant) since I was a baby. DH hates pickles. But we agree that Ethan can try a bit of everything and decide for himself what he likes and doesn't like.

Good grief - can you imagine my lil food snob at school???

LP goes for allegry testing on Thursday. Well, he has an appt with the allergist - I'm hoping they will test him. This has gone on long enough.

Good luck at your RE appt tomorrow!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear the update!

Thanks, I can't wait either. I am hoping to get all my tests done and be ready to try by September or October (once I wean my little chunker boy).

I thought I remember you saying LP had eczema also. I tought that was it and a little cream would cure him but my Dr. said that coupled with his constant sinus problems and my history of Asthma has her a little concerned. Before putting him on formula and/or milk she would like a panel done to rule out food allergies. I 'm not sure what to expect because she said they take blood from his arm and that most likely he will be fine but I will need somone to drive me home after all of the crying I will do. (She knows me to well)

Angela, congratulations on going back to start for #2. I wish you much success. Sorry to hear about G's eczema. It's something we have to watch out for as well because my husband has psoriasis and dermatitis. I'm with you on the crying involved with watching your child go through shots and bloodwork. I apologize the whole way there and back telling Ethan I'd do it for him in a heartbeat if I could.

Alex sees an allergist also. He has a pretty bad case of asthma & gets eczema flare ups occasionally on his torso. They tested him for a milk allergy at 6 months (it was negative) but said he has to wait until he is a little older to get tested for other allergies. They did a skin test, not a blood test. We have a follow up next month. I'm so paranoid that he may come in contact with something like **gasp** peanut butter from older ds's sandwich!!!!

I already told my Mom she has to come with me on Thursday if BP gets stuck at work! Immunizations and finger/toe pricks I can handle, but drawing blood . . . . . I don't know who is going to be crying more, me or LP. I almost canceled the appt b/c of the blood draw - and I am an RN!!

I know something changed when I had him and now I can't stand the sight of needled (headed striaght for him). I was hoping for a skin test but I guess the Dr. doesn't do environmental allergies until 1yr. We originally said we would wait until he 9mo. check up before scheduling but I feel like if there is something simple I can do or change to make him feel better I will...until I heard about the blood draw.

And Kelly I am so with you on the peanut butter. I ate a peanut butter sandwich (the only thing semi-healthy I can eat with one hand while standing) and I washed my hands like they came in contact with the plague. I was afraid I would have some peanut butter on there and Gianni would teeth on my hand and have some sort of crazy reaction. I swear at one point in my life I was a reasonable woman...don't know what happened

OK you won't believe this. I had to cancel my appointment for tomorrow. It was supposed to be at 4 and there was no way to make it there and back (the office is 45minutes away) in time to pick up G from daycare. ( I made the appt. when I thought DH would not be traveling- but he is) So when they called to confirm I asked if they would mind if I brought G with me. And they politley said yes! I totally understand but I was a little caught off guard. They asked out of consideration for their other patients that I not bring him because the afternoon is used for consults and it is a sensitive time for so many people. I had to reschedule for next week. Now I feel bad like I am totally out of touch now that the struggle seems forgotten with my blessing.

WHAT??? ok, ok... we can wait an extra week, but it's not going to be easy...
