You crack me up. I still can't believe it, I thought about it the whole way home. I was SO ready, sorry to disappoint. You can give your pom poms a rest until next week. Don't we have Inna to cheer for in the meantime? Anyone else?

And Kelly I am so with you on the peanut butter. I ate a peanut butter sandwich (the only thing semi-healthy I can eat with one hand while standing) and I washed my hands like they came in contact with the plague. I was afraid I would have some peanut butter on there and Gianni would teeth on my hand and have some sort of crazy reaction. I swear at one point in my life I was a reasonable woman...don't know what happened

Both my peds and the appergist told me they don't do allergy testing before 1 y/o because they aren't accurate so young. I wish there was another way to test food allergies besides the blood draw. He says that is the most accurate. *sigh*

LOL at the PB story - do you know that I used to hold LP's pacifier in my mouth when moving him or he dropped it, and one time I ate peanut butter and then freaked out when I had the pacifier in my mouth an hour later!! As if I had held the PB in there all that time and then slathered it all over the pipe, lol. Who could have predicted us grown women would be afraid of peanut butter?!?!?!?!

It was supposed to be at 4 and there was no way to make it there and back (the office is 45minutes away) in time to pick up G from daycare. ( I made the appt. when I thought DH would not be traveling- but he is) So when they called to confirm I asked if they would mind if I brought G with me. And they politley said yes! I totally understand but I was a little caught off guard. They asked out of consideration for their other patients that I not bring him because the afternoon is used for consults and it is a sensitive time for so many people. I had to reschedule for next week. Now I feel bad like I am totally out of touch now that the struggle seems forgotten with my blessing.

I had to bring LP to MANY of my appts this time - and everyone in the office was always happy to see him. I even apologized the first time and the office manager told me that they love to see the babies they helped to "create" because it is sort of proof that what they are doing really works. And all the other patients either talked to him in the waiting room or kept their nose in the magazine - I never got snarky remarks or looks from anyone. Of course, we did keep him as quiet and unobtrusive as we could when other patients were around because I remember how painful it could sometimes be, especially when I was at a low point or having a bad day. But everyone was really good about it and made it a positive experience. My RE was always thrilled to see LP - so sweet.

So when is your new appt, please??????????

My appointment is now the 30th at 11am. I knew if I didn't go tomorrow I would have all of these what ifs and they are starting already. I can't wait another week.

I am already doubting and worrying if I am taking something away from Gianni if he has to share me. I have a ton of guilt about daycare ( although he loves it) and with a move and everything else I knew doubt would creep in if I was doing the right thing. There are so many uncertainties about our move to Kansas that I worry if I will have to work and if not what will I do in a new city with 2 babies at home and nobody to help in an emergency. I know it will all work itself out but I was so ready for tomorrow to get started.

My RE is great and I know all of the nurses love Gianni so it was a little surprise, I just think the new receptionist was trying to do the right thing by suggesting he not come but a little part of me wants to just show up and get it started already before I overthink it and chicken out.

I had dd allergy tested at about 11 months because she was reacting to something... they drew blood-- well, they attempted to draw blood- the first time they stuck her about 4 times and got nowhere- i had to bring her back the next day! I was definately in tears. See if you can find a blood place/person who has experience w/ little ones-- it makes a HUGE difference. dd had to get blood done again a month or so ago for limes disease testing and did just fine- she didn't make a peep (at 2 years old) so it's not always an absolutely awful experience...

AM- can't wait to hear about your appt.

Amsa- sorry you had to reschedule Shame you couldn't just go on a late lunch break to an appt while Gianni's in daycare...

Defining Mommy Moment:

While taking a shower, your 15 month old comes into the bathroom and proceeds to move the shower curtain back ever so slightly so he can play in the soapy water in the bottom of the tub with some long plastic stick he has found somewhere . . . . and you let him because (a) he's quiet and happy, and (b) never mind - he's quiet and happy - that's all that counts!!
