AM, Congrats!!!! I remember that feeling so well...just like it was yesterday. There are so many milestones associated with pregnancy, this is just the first of many for you! Your story, along with Robin and Irina's, makes me wish I could give my Wyatt a little brother or sister...I think the second go round I would "enjoy" the pregnancy so much more!

Sorry to keep you on hold, ladies . . . . .

So I get to the office and they all look at me with the sympathetic "poor crazy girl" look. Guess when I called yesterday and explained I would not be able to wait till Thursday through my choked back tears, they figured out I was on the edge, lol. The u/s tech brings me right in and we start talking. I tell her why I am concerned (beta and last u/s) and she begins the scan. First thing I see is a big ol sac - nothing else. So I immediately think, "Ok, nothing there, so be it" (Hmmmmm, when did I go to u/s school? Oh , that's right - never!), but she moves the probe and suddenly . . . . what's that???? . . . . . could it be???? . . . . is that a heart beat???? She's not saying anything, so then I think, "Musn't be". Suddenly she says, "Well AM, your baby has a heartbeat". The tears begin and I have to look away towards LP so I don't lose control and start all out blubbering all over the place right there on the table. She gets the heart rate at 114 and tells me it is measuring at 5 weeks 6 days - I am 6 weeks 1 day, good to go!

Then I get my exam by the PA, who asks, "Feeling better?!?!?!"

Then I go see the RE who immediately says, "Did I or one of my staff do or say something that made you so worried?" I explain that it wasn't anyone, but rather my beta numbers not increasing properly. We discuss this briefly and he tells me about averages and nothing is exact and yada yada yada (not really hearing him at this point). Then I tell him my blighted ovum concern and he smiles and shakes his head and says, "I wish you would have called me yesterday and told me that is what you were thinking, because I would have bet you money that you did NOT have a blighted ovum!". Ok, feeling silly now because apparently everyone knew it was not a blighted ovum but me (RE, Megsc, Robin, cat, amsa, MaggieMoo, Jen, Dre, Kelly, Jill, etc etc etc). Anyhow, he makes me promise not to get so worried about things in the future - to call him immediately and he will allieviate my fears.

Then we discussed the fact that I am still breaking out in small red blotches daily and I still have to take a Zyrtec every night or else I cannot stop itching and breaking out in welts. Now he is wondering if it is the Estradiol I am reacting to. Must go see an allergist. Skipping tonight's Estradiol and Zyrtec, tomorrow morning's Estradiol, and reporting any itchy/welts/blotchy symptoms to RE tomorrow.

Again, thank you for all your support!!!

Am- You did it again, the tears are just flowing. At least this time it is in the privacy of my own home.

I am so happy for you, I had a feeling yesterday that things weren't right when I realized you were too preoccupied to maintain your 40 a day posting habit. I am glad to know that you have the reassurance you need and can start to enjoy another healthy wonderful pregnancy.
