I'm gonna try it heated one more time today. Yesterday was leftovers from the fridge, so maybe it was because they weren't as fresh. If they don't like it today, then I think I'll try it at room temp. They seemed to like it the first day and it was heated, but the prunes were just opened too.

I hope Maddie eats her prunes today because she hadsn't pooped in two days. She is passing gas a lot and I'm hoping the prunes will make her feel better. I don't know if she's fussy from the constipation or from the teething or both. I'm just exhausted.

Hey girls- I just wanted to say hello really quick. We had the weekend from he** but we got another tooth! Avery got the one right beside the first one. The first one can really be seen well so I am going to try to get a good pic of her. Anytime she smiles you can see it so I am sure it will show up on camera by now.
It sounds like everyone had a good weekend though for the most part. Our girls enjoyed the prunes as well. I normally heat mine as well but I think they would eat it either way.
Love the new pics Jen! He is adorable. Our girls just fell through the legs of those floats when I tried them earlier this summer.
Well, we are off to the beach in the morning. Should be interesting since A has been SCREAMING her head off for several days now. They still haven't gotten over the colds either. They still have runny noses but they seem to act like the feel a little better.
Anyway, jsut wanted to post really quick. We are leaving too, too early in the morning! See you girls later.

Laurie, have fun at the beach! I'm glad the girls are getting better. Can't wait to see pics of those little toothers!

Well, I may try the prunes not heated tomorrow. Maddie enjoyed her prunes...they shared a full container...and Maddie ate most of it. Mila kept giving me those sour lemon looks. Then, make these "yuck" noises. It was too cute! Its funny how we make them eat these things because its good for them, but yet I would have to be rolling over in pain before I ate prunes.

I started researching the next toddler car seat I want to buy. I don't know why I keep thinking so far ahead, but this time has just been flying by and before I know it they will be grown out of the ones they have. Ours hold up to 30 lbs, so we really won't need new ones till they are at least a year old, but they are already almost half way there!

Anna, isn't it funny that they make noises while eating. Sometimes we swear Ethan is saying "yum" or "yuck" while he's eating. As for the toddler seats, Ethan is already in his! He outgrew, height wise, his infant seat and is about 1.5 pounds from the weight limit. He LOVES his new seat and all the room he has to stretch and kick his legs. He just loves being up higher and being able to look out the window. I also have a mirror on the back headrest so he and I can see each other and I love that. He sees me and smiles real big and lets out a squeak - oh he's such a funny little guy.

Still no teeth on our end. Darn it! He's had these buds long enough and you can tell he's getting frustrated too. We keep checking every morning though.

On to the homemade baby food. I made pears this weekend and mixed cereal in with it - turned out perfect! So yesterday was his first day having that for breakfast and his sitter said he loved them, could have gone for an addition serving. These I put in his toss n go cups and not the baby food jars thinking that it would be a bigger serving. Last night he had the carrots (did better with them) and bananas mixed with cereal. So far so good! Oh and if I didn't mention it on this thread the butternut squash turned out looking exactly like the jarred food. Very impressive!

Jen, I had to work late, so I missed the prune feeding. But, I told DH to try the prunes without heating them. He said they both seemed to love the prunes better. So, thanks for the suggestion! I think I may do the same for all of their fruit.

I can't believe that Ethan already outgrew his first car seat! Such a big boy... I know I've been wanting to put up a mirror so I can see the girls as well. I bought one, but I've just been too lazy and haven't put it up yet.

Okay, Karson is eating great!! He is eating oatmeal in the morning, and then veggies at night. Right now we are on sweet potatoes, and he loves them. My question is how much is everyone feeding their little ones at a time? I think he would eat more, but I am afraid of overfeeding him. He weighs over 17 1/2 lbs now, so I know he is a big boy, but I am just not sure how much a big boy needs.

Laci, girl - I am so there with you! I wonder this all the time and do plan to ask his ped when we go in two weeks. Ethan used to eat oatmeal plus a fruit in the morning and then oatmeal, a vegetable and a fruit for dinner. I think that is way too much. But when I called they said he was probably going through a growth spurt and would balance out soon....and he did. However, I still don't know what he "should" be taking in each day. Now that I'm making his food I'm combining his cereal with his fruits and putting them in a little bigger container so it's not quite two servings but more then one. Then in the evenings he's doing one jar of vegetables and one jar of fruit mixed with cereal. He's still taking just as much formula if not a little more each day. I'll let you know what I find out!

Anna, yes - my little boy is in a big boy seat and it's sad to see but he's such a little man. He loves to have the room to kick and play now. He was so squished in his infant seat, feet touching the back of the back seat and no room to move. Then when his head ended up at the top of the seat and we ran out of slots to adjust his straps we knew it was time!

Laci, that is so great that Karson is eating better! I'm in the same boat as you and Jen, I don't know how much to feed and I too planned on asking about that at the next doc appt.

Mila is such a babbler. She is now saying her d's and b's. DH loves to hear her say, "da da da da." She also started saying today, "blah blah blah." Its just too cute!

How is everyone else doing? Hopefully everyone is enjoying their weekend.
