What's everyone doing this summer

Just curious what everyone has planned for this summer?

We are going to go to Bethany Beach in Delaware with my BIL, SIL and niece in about 3 weeks. In August we are going to go Hershey and Lancaster PA for a long weekend. We have friends in Hershey so will visit them, go to Hersheypark, and Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster. Should be fun, except for the gas prices!!!

We are going to Mystic, Connecticut for a week, camping in Cooperstown, NY for a long weekend, and some other camping trips thrown in there. My big goal for the summer is for us to find a house to buy. Hopefully we will be too busy moving to do much else.

Gulf Shores, Alabama

We are leaving this Saturday for Gulf Shores, Alabama. We're renting a house on the beach for a week, along with some friends of ours.

We live in New Orleans, so we actually have a lot of family coming here to see us for their vacations.

In the next few weeks ds will be attending two weeks of Space day camp and then a week of drama camp....he is truly our little drama child!
Then in late July we are heading out to San Diego for a week and a half to visit my BIL and his family. I am so looking forward to it!! While we are there, we are going to visit the zoo and Lego Land for our ds birthday. He is so excited!!
Then in August its back to school stuff...I just hope the summer doesn't go by too quickly!

Wow! Everyone sounds like they are going to have some amazing trips this summer! No trips for us this year. We'll be lucky if we make it out for a Brewers Baseball game or make it to the Milwaukee zoo. For us, the girls are a little too young to do much of anything. Next summer, we will definitely have bigger plans.

Gracesmom, I am so jealous! I sooo love Hershey, PA! I can't wait to take the girls there, but its kind of a hike from WI. So, it will be awhile before we head out that way.

Nice vacations, everyone!!

We are heading to the Hamptons for a week and a half in August with my family. We usually go to Nantucket, but it's a small island and some family members were getting stir crazy going there year after year, so last year we went to Cape Cod and this year we are heading to the Hamptons.

Also this summer, I will be turning 38. Shhhhhhhhhhh! Maybe if we don't say anything, it won't happen.

wow..I'm so jealous. Everyone has such great plans for the Summer. No big plans here. Maybe some day trips to Maine here and there. My family has a house up at York Beach, ME. Also, going to a few Red Sox games this month, so that should be fun. Other than that, not much. Just the same ole BBQ's and oh ya, working!!!

Hope everyone has a great summer!!

I am going to Hershey & Crayola factory ( kids love it)too but in July, family trip every year brothers & sisters and there families. I would like to visit Amish Country but the kids arent too keen about that. lol..

I am sending the dd's to my brothers in dallas for 1 wk or two in july during er/et so I wont have to take care of them. (I think that came out wrong, i meant that in a good way, not a bad one..)

Then we are going to Disney in Aug for a week. ( which I am so excited about because I LOVE DISNEY) I am such a disney fan, a crazy disney fan we go every year. This will be the first year we go with no stroller which is going to be so strange for the last 15 something years we have always had a stroller.
I dont know if this counts for the summer but sometime this month I need to fit in Hawaii and/or Rome in our travel plans. I want to go before I get preg. because I am hoping I have more than one baby (I know being greedy) and I wont be traveling again for a yr.
I did take out insurance with all the trips just in case I am put on bedrest or stimming anything like that.

Wow, I'm pretty jealous over here too. Some of those trips sound amazing - I expect pictures! We don't have any vacation plans for the summer, with Ethan being a little guy right now I didn't want to risk it. However, we might do a few camping weekends here and there with our families but that's about it. Next year though we are definitely hitting the zoo at least.

Kris, that sounds like the perfect summer for me. Walks on the beach and lots of private moments bonding with your son - who could ask for more?

My grandfather lives in Florida so I'm sure we'll be down there once Ethan is old enough to start riding some rides and experiencing Disney. Dh has never been. In fact prior to our cruise for our 4th anniversary, he had never seen the ocean. So I'm sure a lot of what we experience with Ethan, DH will be experiencing for the first time as well.

We don't have huge plans, of course I would like to do the zoo, camping, apple orchards and we do have tickets to Disney Playhouse and the Wiggles. Other than that we will be taking our annual week long vacation in Michigan.

So sad before you know it Summer will be over. I can't believe it is already JUNE!

In about a week, we are heading up to Milwaukee so that Shelby can meet my husband's grandparents. We are both excited and anxious about doing this trip because she will only be a month old. But, we are driving up (from Virginia, ugh), so I don't think it will be quite as difficult as flying might be. Plus, we are taking two days to do the drive.
