AM, mine recommends it for safety against an arm, leg, etc coming out the side bars. But maybe that will change as he starts to move and roll. I'll bring this up at his next appointment (4 months).

I still have the bumpers in Gabe's crib. I had taken them out when he began rolling all over the place but put them back in since he hit his head a few times and hard so they are back in there and I have watched him and when he is close to the bumper he actually moves away and this is while he is asleep. He seems to be like his Dad and does not like anything near his face when he sleeps nor like hot air near his face.

We have dropped his mattress already and once he begins to stand I will remove them but for now I am leaving them in.
