I just started metformin 750mg a week ago and went and bought the $200 OPK. I dont get regular cycles or ovulate normally, Im on cycle day 54. I went ahead and tried to use the machine even though no AF, so the machine thinks im on day 7. ( day 6 and day 7 it has read high fertility status). My question is this can the metformin work that fast and can the pcos cause increase in hormones when im not actually going to ovulate?

Is that the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor you are using? If it is I’m surprised it asked you for a test that early, mine starts at day 9 or so. The high reading is the detection of estrogen not the LH hormone, that should be a few days away if your body is going to ovulate. Unfortunately PCOS can make a mess out of our hormones and using OPK’s very frustrating.
