I have been diagnosed with hypoactive thyriod and PCOS, we've been trying for a year and a half. I'm 27,5'3 115lbs, it really doesn't make any sense to me. I'm on my 4th cycle on clomid, this one I am taking for 10 days. If this doesn't work we go to the FSH (i think that's what is called) the shot... that's what I call it.

I think this all hit me about a month ago, before we were just going through the steps trying to figure out what was wrong and i didn't really think about it. Maybe it was denial... i don't know. However it has hit me... Yes... I am a infertility patient and my treatments are not working. I'm having a tough time dealing with this right now. Any thoughts??

I’ve never heard of someone taking Clomid for 10 days. When you say the cycles are not working, is the clomid not making you ovulate or are they just not resulting in pregency? Many women have trouble on Clomid but have great success with injectables.

I am 28, 5'2" and my weight goes between 111-115lbs. I have been diagnosed with PCOS. I DO NOT have cysts on my ovaries, but the doc says many of the other symptoms fit. I worry about thyroid issues, but so far the levels have been fine.

My first round of Clomid (50mg) I did not ovulate. On the 100mg I did, but got a BFN. I'm about to begin round 3. I've never heard of taking Clomid for 10 days either.

Do you ovulate with Clomid?

My RE put me on the 10 day cycle because I don't ovulate with clomid. This will be the last try with clomid if it doesn't work. After that it's on to injectables.

i have not been diagnosed with pcos but i think that may be what my dr thinks i have. i am 25, 5' 2", and 115 lbs and no cysts. i am not ovulating on clomid either. i took 50 the first time and 100 this past time and we will do 150 the next time. did you start on your own after you found out you didn't ovulate? i have taken progesterone and the first time i took it for 10 days and i started 2 days later. the second time i took it for 5 days and i started 3 days later. so this past time, the dr said to take it for 10 days but i thought it was a mistake (my dr is good at confusing his patients) so i only took it for 5. i thought since i started 3 days after my last time of taking it 5 days it would happen again. no such luck! it has been 9 days and all i have is symptoms but no . i am regretting not taking it for the full 10 days now. i could have started already if i had. = (

i too came to the realization that i am struggling with IF. the first few months, i thought we would get i all figured out and i would get pg on my own. but now that i will be doing a 3rd round of meds and an IUI i really feel like it may never happen. i don't really have any advice but i will say that this forum has helped me a lot the past month. it makes you feel less alone.

I too have PCOS and hypothyroid. I just started Synthroid last week. I have been dealing with IF for 5 years now. I truely hope you are one of the luck ones that are not here long. If you have an questions I will try to help. Just like any of the wonderful ladies here.

Keep a postive thougth process of it all or it will really bring you down.

HI im also new here! this is actually my first post! My hubby and i have been ttc for almost a year now and I found out that i have PCOS and hypothyroidism, as well as an enlarged liver and spleen. I am also insulin resistant.. ughh.. I know what you mean when you say it hit you all of a sudden,, b/c all last year i just thought it was not a big deal until i finally realized that I wasnt getting pregnant. But we just have to keep a positive attitude and hope for the best!
