Diognosed with PCOS April 2009

Hello everyone! I love reading all the supportive and informative posts pertaining to PCOS. I have learned so much from everyone. Here is my story: I was diagnosed with PCOS this April; I had never heard of it until then. I always had regular cycles until a miscarriage in July 2005. My husband and I wanted to try and get pregant again, which we have been unsuccessful. I have never thought anything was really wrong up until a few months ago. I realized that irregular periods and no periods were symtoms of something...I just did not know what...this is why I finally decided to see a OBGYN about my concerns.

I have been on Metformin for about 3 weeks and next

week I go back to the docter, I believe he will prescribe me something to make come because I

haven't had AF since April. I also believe that he will

prescribe me Clomid as well. How long does it usually

take for a cycle to begin while only taking Metformin?

Will you all share your Clomid success stories?

I was diagnosed with PCOS since I was 14. I have it pretty severe. Metformin never really worked for me personally neither did the clomid but I know that it works for tons of people on here. I used another drug called femara and I am now expecting a little boy very soon. Believe me there is hope in becoming pregnant with PCOS. The DR will probably prescribe you provera to make you have a cycle. You take it for 10 days and in a couple of days after stopping it you will start your cycle. Good luck with everything.
