Could I have pcos? Please help!

Hey guys!
I have had one he** of a week. I found out Tuesday evening my husband has a poor sperm analysis, low count, poor motility, and 0% morpology.
So, we went to see a re to talk about our situation, etc. By the way, my hubby has an appt with a male fertility doc on monday.
Anyway, when I left his office, i looked at the diagnosis code and he put pocs. he did start me on metformin.
He didn't do bloodwork or an ultrasound. I guess he went by history which is as follows:

39, overweight (however, i have no problem losing weight if i just diet), in march did have fasting glucose of 117, hgb a1c was 6.0. From March till June, dropped 20 pounds, therefore is the reason why I said I could lose weight if I will try.

Oh, and I did have a transvaginal ultrasound in my reg ob/gyn office and he said is was normal. Wouldn't he have noticed any cysts?

My cycles are every 35-36 days, consistently.

My one concern is before I found all of this out, I did buy the clearblue fertility monitor and started it 8/1. Now, keep in mind, I have long cycles but on day 13, it showed an lh surge. Go figure! Obviously, I don't believe it. I had some opk sticks too but when I tested it, it did not show lh surge. So, I don't know if it is the stupid monitor. (yes, in case you are wondering,I know I am ocd )

In the past, I have noticed very tiny skin tags on my neck that come and go but it is not a regular occurence.

So, now I am trying to figure out if I might have pcos. It just seems like I have enough to deal with finding out about hubby sperm, now what if I have pcos.

Any advice would be great.

i think they can do a blood draw and test the androgens...look for higher than normal testosterone etc...not entirely sure tho..i have poly cystic ovaries lol but they haven't done any of the b/w looking for it and i have no other symptoms..(1 or 2 small skin tags also)..just have the gazillion little follicles all month long lol...good luck with your if and good luck to your dh also...if you are pcos you can still conceive so i wouldn't worry terribly about it..tho sometimes it makes me angry that "I" just can't work right lol
good luck

I have never been officially diagnosed as PCOS. I've always suspected it though. I've tended to gain weight easily, have had acne, facial hair, etc. My infertility was of the "unexplained" variety but I wonder...
Chinese medicine is what balanced out my hormones, improved my skin and helped me to conceive. It took 3 years!
