Have anybody been on...
Prednisone before starting Clomid?
I was Dx with PCOS back in 2006 and started actively TTC in Jan. 08 so my RE put me on Prednisone (an steroid) to lower my Testosterone levels...But I've been reading threads and more threads and I have not seen anyone do this... Anyone have try this protocol?

     Me - 29 yr : PCOS DH - 37yr :Healthy DD - 11yr Cycle 1= 50mg Clomid (No O)=  Took a 3 month au Natural = Cycle # 2: 100mg Clomid (O'd)= Cycle # 3= 100mg Clomid (O'd)= Next step: Oct. 14 HSG = tubes clear, we are good to go Nov 3-7 Clomid 100mg Nov.7-9 Repronex 150iu Nov. 12 US 1 on the RO (14) 2 LO (16-15) Nov. 14 US 2 on RO (17-14) 2 LO (20-18-16) and a few on the 12 range  Nov.15 Trigger shot @7pm  here we come!!!Nov. 18 Start 200mg Progesterone supp. twice a day

I have been on Prednisone since before our ET, though as a prevention for miscarriage... Unsure if that helps. Good luck to you!

My RE said after my blood work came back that my (and many pcos patients) high testosterone comes from an adrenal gland malfunction and he put me on Dexametasone for that. I take .5 mg every other day. It can cause hip problems in rare cases, though.
Haven't heard of prednisone for it though, sorry.
