Q about hair(sorry)

Ok, so this is going to sound stupid but i really dont know whats normal. Im kinda out there when it comes to noticing things. It just occured to me that maybe some of my hair wasnt normal. I hope you ladies can tell me if this is normal or the PCOS. Im a really shy person so this is hard.
Toe hair? I always thought everyone had it.
Butt crack? Im so embarrassed. I dont even tell my dr that)
upper lip. not corse but darker than the rest
really fast growing underarm? If anyone could help before i go back to my re that would be great.

I have PCOS and the only places I have noticed it is facial, but I also grow rather quickly on my legs and armpits. I shave those every other day. Not sure if that's excessive of not. The toe hair is rather light in color so I never notice. Every once I awhile I shave the big toe. Don't know about the butt hair, but I did watch some reality show once where this stripper waxed her's and bleached it. Hope this helps.

Don't feel bad to ask a question. All us have at least one question or another that is hard to ask. All I can say is I don't have PCOS and I have ALL the things you mentioned!! I think I am part ape (pretty bad for an Irish gal). Let's just say in high school I used to shave the hairs on my fingers, just above my knuckle! Yikes!! Hope this helps

Dont be embarrassed. I too have hair issues and PCOS but I am not sure how much of it is PCOS or my Italian heritage. My female family members without PCOS also have hair issues. I do have the upper lip issues (just a little darker) and facial hair that is mostly light but some more coarse. My hair does grow really fast on legs and underarms. I also noticed that I have belly hair (strange). Sorry I am not much help but you arent alone on this issue, definietly bring it up with RE.

The hair on my legs grows pretty quickly and is rather course (although a little less so since I have been on Metformin). I also have a little bit of hair on the tops of my feet and my toes.. I thought it was normal. My mother does too and she doesn't have PCOS. And I might be wrong, but I thought butt hair was pretty normal.. isn't that part of a Brazilian wax?

I’m with the other ladies. Some amount of (extra) hair growth on the face and other places(except our heads, strange) is normal with most women as we get older. I’m sure the facial hair I have battled with for years is from my PCOS but the fact that I have to shave my legs everyday is just normal, I have very, very, very pale skin and I have chestnut/auburn hair so even after I shave you can still see the hair under the skin. As for hair down there, it comes in all shapes and I think you would find that most women don’t have the underwear model version, without waxing.

Additional hair growth is something that is not generally talked about in our society so to some extent when it happens to us we all feel a little like freaks, but we are not alone. The advertisement, fashion/beauty, and porn industries don’t help.

RE May 08 = waiting for DH appt. at clinic to see if his sperm will survive the wash and respond properly to “fallopian tube environment” – July 08 Passed!

5/08 Testing for Lymphoma- Negative!!! I just have Sarcoidosis.

6/08 Can’t get follow up appointment with RE until September--Am considering moving to the third world, than will not be surprised at inadequate health care.

8/08 Hysteroscopy and Lap removed polyp from uterus and adhesions to ovary and fallopian tubes, adhesions not previously diagnosed.

1st IUI 9/08-BFN

2nd IUI 10/08BFN

3 dogs & 3 cats

You name it, I've got it. YES it is very embarassing. I use Vaniqua for my face and that does help to slow it down, but that only covers one area. My doctor recommends laser removal, but I can't personally afford that. I spend the majority of my morning routine working on this problem!

PCOS Sufferer

The body hair is normal for wmen with pcos. I have suffered with pcos sice I was 12 years old. I have never really had a normal period. When I do have a period I bleed for long periods of time. I have went as long as 3 months at a tme. I have had numerous procedures and medication, but nothing seems to help.I even had a doctor to tell me to have a hysterectomy, but I'm only 29 and I don't think I need one. I found a doctor who is real compassionate and considerate concerning my problem. I have excessive body hair and was told that women with PCOS produce more male hormones than female this the reason for the extra hair growth. I was put on a certain med so that I could have a regular period since i have stopped takin the medicine I no longer have a period. I am not trying to get pregnant, but I all of yoy the best who's trying.
