How did you do it?
My dear friends. I have a favour to ask from all of you enthusiastic people out there. I'm 10 weeks pregnant today, and my plan was to send pregnancy announcements cards to my friends and families since we live far away from them. Any how, do you girls have any more exiting ideas on how to surprise the people i love, ho did you do it? I so much want to make it very special. I hope I'll last till 12-13 weeks without telling any one. So far i only told my mom (only because she knows about treatments) and two friends (couldn't resist).

I think the best way is to call (or tell them in person if you can).
That's what we did and it was so wonderful hearing the excitment in their voices and to hear them all chocked up and some even full out crying with joy. That's just priceless. I too wanted to do something real special and cute...but I'm so glad I just called instead. That first reaction is just to sweet to miss out on.

I told my family members and close friends in person or over the phone...for friends I don't see as often or talk to regularly I sent a cute e-mail

i sent everyone a home made snoopy postcard with the announcement; we wait until we were 16 wks, unfortunately when we lost the twins, some of my shower invites had already hit the mail.... the day before we lost them.
do something special, that you will always cherrish and can show your little one when they grow up.

Thank you ladies. I think all of you right. If i send cards i wont be able to hear the joy like i did last time we told them.
Charms, i read your story on this site. Very sorry what happened, and i know you  again, so happy for you. I had a m/c in the past that's why I'm trying to hold the announcement for as long as i possibly can. And i think now I'm leaning more toward calling people rather then sending cards to them.

We had dd wear a shirt that says "I'm gonna be a big sister" the next time my family was getting together. People far away we called them!
