I just found this board and wanted to see if anyone had similar story which ended positiively or any information on this subject. I was told today, at 6 wks, 5 days that the embryo was 1 week behind in size (measured at 5wks, 6 days) and the HB was not visible. It seemed to me that the doc was sure that this is not a viable pregnancy. We go back on Monday to confirm. Does anyone on this board know if the outcome could be positive and what happens next when they see that it has stopped growing and will miscarriage 100%?

I never got to see either of my babies but I just wanted to say there is hope. maybe s/he is just late bloomer. I know they say you cant see the heartbeat till six weeks at the earliest and if the munchkin is measuring under that i would say they just need to catch up and then their heart will show. They ran a series actually about 10different tubes of blood were sent off they checked for immune issues and clotting issues, thyroid, fsh, all kinds of stuff. It is a batch of test labled under "Habitual Aborter" with insurance companies. I almost fell out of my chair when i seen that on the paper. To think i am in my early 20's my husband is 30 and we are labled habitual aborters because we cant carry...but i felt alot better after i got the results back.

Hi, I just went through the same thing last month, but it didn't work out for us. When we went back for the second u/s, the HB was slow. Then when we went back for the 3rd u/s, it was stopped. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but like the article says, it could pick up.

If it doesn't work out, you can do a D&C and then get genetic testing like we did. (Insurance should cover) We found out the baby had an extra Chromosome 16 which is why the baby didn't grow and the HB was slow.

I really hope your baby's HB catches up.

Hi - I just found this forum in search of stories similar to what I am currrently going through.

Yesterday I had my 2nd u/s at 7w3d and there was no h/b. The RE said I was meauring 6w and there was a fetal pole. Needless to say I was devastated. My betas were great (12dp3dt = 305 and 14dp3dt = 729) so I don't understand what's going on.

I have another u/s scheduled for Monday to see if there is any progess. If not, I can stop the PIO shots and let nature take it's course.

I hope we both have great outcomes.

I am so sorry to hear your story . I really feel your pain. The ladies on this site were able to provide some useful information and comfort, of course the doc will give you more specifics if you want to know options like I did. I had so many questions about risks of having a D&C and analyzing why I had the problem. Good luck to you at your next u/s. I have heard that sometimes they can make it. If you betas are still highm its possible I would think.

I just went through the same thing with my baby. I went to my schedruled u/s and the radiologist said there was no heartbeat and that my baby never made it past 6wks. It really hurt me at the time and it hurts me still. I'm 21yrs and this would have been my first child. I felt so embarrassed coming to work the next week with everyone asking "Hows the baby?" "When are you due?" and you have to act alittle nonchalant and relive those feelings of guilt and hurt. But I have found God through all this rocky road and I'm coming to peace with His decision and I'm patiently waiting for my time to come again.

I just lost my little one last week. I had a blood clot the size of my uterus. needless to say, the baby ran out of room. We saw a heartbeat on Tuesday and it was gone by Wed. I had a D&C due to the clot and now that my hormones are balancing out I feel like I can begin to heal. You will get through this, it takes time. I am here for you if you need to talk.

Please remember that you need time to grieve the loss of your little miracle. Take the time you need. My DH haver never been closer!

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I am going off of the progsterone shots today and the doc said that it might happen naturally. I know that we will get pregnant again but now it just seems to overwhelming. Take care of yourself and hang in there. I know now what a wonderful, supportive husband I have. For that I am extremely thankful. We both seem to be extremely lucky to have special DHs in our lives.

Can I join? I had my first u/s on 7-15 saw the HB of 102bpm the gestational sac measured 6 wks right along with I had ovulated the dr said I had a 70% chance, wanted a second opinion went in on 7-21 with a different dr at a different location, Suppose to be 6wks 6days, Gest. sac measured 6 wks still, saw fetal pole measured 6wks 1 day, and yolk sac, but no hb. dr thought it was due to my uterus being tilted. Friday woke up with some spotting and severe abdominal pain, spotting stopped but pain still there, went in had another u/s Now 7wks 3 days. Gest. sac=6wks, fetal pole=6wks 3days, No heartbeat, determined not viable, told to go off Metformin and Prometrium and things should happen on its own. So here I sit waiting, waited all weekend, nothing Today I am 7wks 6 days and nothing, Called the Midwife, who inturn called the Maternal fetal Med dr who confirmed (same one who saw me on monday) that the pregnancy is no longer and suggested I take Cytotec to get the process going and if nothing happens within 24 hrs take another dose and if still nothing then to call them for a possible D&C.

I also had a sad u/s yesterday. The sac measured 6w4d and I should be 8w1d and there was no fetal pole. I will stop the PIO support and hope that my body does what it has to do naturally.

This was my last IF treatment. I have a DS who is 21 months old and I can now say that he is truly my miracle baby. I have done 7 iuis, 5 ivf cycles and 1 FET, suffered an ectopic and now will suffer a m/c.

I am very sorry for your loss!! I just had a m/c last week so I can truly relate to you. Yes, your DS is a miracle. I don't have any children yet and right now don't know if I will be doing IVF again.
