Hi everyone,

I had my first round of bloodwork today 1 week after the D&C for my 7 week old little one. At seven weeks I read that HCG levels should be in the 30,000-50,000 range. Mine was at 147 today. This number seems nice and low and gives me hope to get my body back on track to try again. If anyone can lend some advice I would appreciate it.

I am so very sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers. Now, as far as your levels, they really seem to be dropping, which is nice b/c the sooner they return to zero, the sooner you can get on with the healing process and start to get your body ready for whatever you decide to do next. Again, I am so sorry.

This is good news. I don't have an answer to your question but I suppose your in good ways. Soon you will be ready to start over.

I am still with some pain. Did you take any antibiotics after D&C? I didn't and I am thinking maybe it was not the right thing.

Hi Claudia,

I was surprised they did not give antibiotics after a D&C...they gave them to me after my ER. HHHMMM???

I did have a fever 4 days after for about 3 days but they said it was my body being worn down. I actually feel pretty good this week. Now I need to get my head together. I feel like all I do is think about it and cry. UUUGGGHHH!!!! I just want AF to show up so I know my body is back to where it needs to be so we can try again.

How are you holding up?

Hi Erin, When I went for check up just over 2 weeks after DC, my HCG was 700 something. I go back on Tuesday, 8/5 (my wedding anniversary) for another HCG to see if its zero yet.

Thanks for the info. I am so sorry for your loss. It is miserable to have your dream that close.

i cannot wait to hit zero becasue then we can try again. IVF is the first time I have had any control over my fertility and it did work. Are you planning on another round?

Erin, We haven't decided if we are trying again or not yet. I borrowed the money from my sis for the first try. I am not sure where we will get the money for a second try. DH doesn't want to try again even if we have the money.
