I can only imagine how difficult going back to work will be for you today. My advice would be to just let everyone know that you are having a difficult time, and although you appreciate their concern, it makes you feel down to keep talking about it (reliving the experience). They will understand, and hopefully news will spread so everyone else will know to let you have some time to yourself.
Take all the time you need to recover. It is very difficult dealing with a m/c especially after trying for so long and finally getting the good news you deserve.
I hope this helps.

My heart goes out to you...this is so hard. I did what DreamBig suggested. I sent an email to those folks who knew I'd been pregnant and told them it didn't work out and that in time I'd be ok to talk about it but for now I needed some space. They were all really respectful and the transition back wasn't as bad as I'd feared. Best wishes to you!

Sending an email is a good idea. Let people know you aren't ready to talk about it yet.

My heart goes out to you, being around babies. As strange as it sounds, being in an environment where people understand how much a baby means may be a real blessing. They get it. I know it's not the same as if they had a miscarriage themselves, but maybe their kindness will help comfort you right now.

I had the same fears going back to work. I am a nurse in an orthopaedic office and I was out for a month. You can't avoid the looks of concern and sadnees that you will get but everyone was really great. Nobody really mentioned anything to me. They just welcomed me back. I finally started to talk about it to my closer friends at work. I only had one day that I broke down and cried in the bathroom and then every 15 minutes subsequently after that. I ended up having to go home.

I would suggest confiding in a close co-worker to maybe let everyone know where you are at and that you will talk about it when you are ready. I told my friend to let everyone know that I didn't want anyone to say they were sorry or even talk about it. I just wanted a welcome back and that's what I got. Things are getting back to normal now, I've been back for about 2 weeks now.

You will get through it. It is scary but it does take some time. Good luck to you
