How long does it take to Miscarry after proges. supp.?
HelloLadies,
I just found out 5 days ago that after seeing our baby a week before (7w1d) that the sac is now empty. I have been taking progesterone and the Dr ased me to stop. It has been 5 days and nothing has happened. How long does it take for the miscarriage to happen. I can go in on Monday and they will give me a shot to speed things up. Has anyone had to do this? I don't know what to expect or how I feel about the drug??? Any info would be amazing!

Everyone is different. After I no longer heard a heartbeat at 8 weeks, I stopped the prog right away and I started to m/c 2 days later. I went in for a D&C. I had a friend that used the drugs to help it along because when she started to m/c on her own, it was too late. She said that it was painful - like giving birth.

The exact same thing happened to me... empty sac, then I stopped progest supp. I have to tell you the truth, I never miscarried on my own. My body continued to recognize the pregnancy since the sac was present and I ended up needing a D and C. Sorry... I'm praying for you...

Thanks ladies!!! I really wanted to know what I was getting into... I have found that I learn more on here from all of you wonderful ladies then I do in hours of research online...

i just wanted to say I'm so sorry. I completely understand. I just miscarried last week. I actually think my pregnancy stopped progressing at 4 weeks but I miscarried naturally at 7 weeks. For me at least it happened naturally. I guess that would be the way to go if you can. I'm sorry.

Update on me:
I ended up having to take meds to induce the miscarriage. I was in the ER because the pain was so bad I was throwing up and not able to keep the pain meds down. 6 days later I am still bleeding like a heavy period. I am going tomorrow to see if I need a D and C... So we will see what happens.
