didn't work for me!!
Hi, I am very sorry for your loss. We are in the same boat, because I just found out that my pregnancy wasn't viable last Monday. I wanted to avoid the d&c. I don't want to create any risk of scarring my uterus! (though, I know that risk is low)
So, my RE prescribed cytotec and said that it works pretty reliably. But it did not work AT ALL for me! I took two doses. I took 3 days off of work unnecessarily, as it turns out, just waiting to miscarry, and it never happened. I was very frustrated to say the least. It's bad enough to deal with a lost pregnancy!! I was worried about intense cramping too, and all I felt was a "bubbly" or "fluttery" sort of feeling in my lower abdomen... not menstrual like cramps. Now, the nurse told me that my RE wants to do a D&C. She feels that there is too much risk of infection to wait. I don't know why, because that's not what I hear of other REs saying. But, at the same time, I'd really be happy to get all of this over with! Good luck. I know it's tough to be in limbo with this. (though you posted this ques. a while ago, so I hope by now it's all over with for you)
