That's great news SHelly!

Jen- I bet you wouldn't think that if BIL had a wife and they were thinking of using Elizabeth. lol. Then it would suck, but via the internet...it does not bother me one bit!

yay shelly!! great, great news. hope the lupron treats you well. it only ever got to me when i did it for a long time. how do you react to it?

martie, yay for af! i'm so excited for everyone.

how's everyone else?

jen, how's af treating you?

i keep waking up with low bloodsugar and it sucks. i'm lowering my insulin at night and it doesn't help. i have to keep lowering it. still don't wanna eat, really. the problem is getting enough protein. school starts 2 weeks from today and i really hope my energy returns or i'll be a mess.

devan's beautiful mya will be 1 tomorrow!

Liza- I ate tons of eggs. (Shudder) and (Shudder) protein bars but they helped. (Not sure what the sugar content is like though...)

shawna/jen - i love protein bars but i think the sugar is high. i'll check. i think i can handle hard-boiled eggs. did you eat the yolk or is it the whites that have the protein? i'll look into the protein shakes too. i was thinking about them.

Liza- I ate them scrambled. I also ate a lot of cheese, including cottage cheese. If it had protein, then I was eating it. lol. I was eating a lot of other crap too, but yeah, I tried to stick to proteins and healthy stuff as much as possible.

Liza, I don't remember what Lupron was like last time... except that I HATED the needles... either they were dull or they just didn't like my skin... because they ALWAYS bounced... no matter what I tried... I'm not looking forward to it... I'm actually kind of putting it off now...

Well, here's the thing, we wanted to keep this cycle a secret from the family... spring it on them the way we were never able to before... the thing is, I have the Lupron and the meds in my fridge and my WHOLE family is helping me move this weekend (Mom, dad, sister, and my in-laws)... how do I hide it?? My sister is here tonight (was here when I got the call we were approved and I cried... only a little, though... stupid BCPs)... how do I take them without her seeing?

Am I being silly hiding this from my family? They were so supportive last time.....

shelly i totally understand hiding it this time. it may be a bit easier on you. can you put the lupron in a cooler on moving day, or even before that in the fridge (you know, the little lunch bag type cooler bags) and just say it's bottles or something? my lupron didn't need to be refridged the past two times. different kind i guess. sorry the needles don't agree with you. i always thought those were the easiest ones!

Tofu, spinach, oatmeal, beans beans beans beans beans, brown rice, almonds, peanuts (and peanut butter, although it tends to have added oils which means added fat), lentils, tempeh, hummus (chickpeas), lima beans, quinoa, and broccoli are all great sources of non-animal proteins...

Nah, the lupron doesn't need to be refrigerated... just kept cooler than 77 degrees and it gets pretty hot around here lately... but that's a great idea... the cooler. I'll just keep it in a paper bag in the back and tuck it into a cooler the day of... see, I worry about the silliest things.

Congrats Shelly on getting approved. When my MIL came to babysit we taped the refridgerator draw closed so that we'd know if she peeked into where the meds were. I'm sure she was confused, but the tape was still in tact when we got home. I think the little cooler idea is better.

Snuck off into my bedroom...

I totally couldn't do it. I would go "one, two, three" and then freeze... my whole body was stone for an instant... Dh had to do it. *sigh* I forgot how much I hate needles.

So Liza, so far the Lupron is just itchy... I'll keep you posted...
