Period after Miscarried ?
i got my miscarriage at my 8 weeks June 2 and now i'm waiting for first natural period,i have irregular period.
i just wonder how soon u girls got ur first natural period after miscarriage? when should i count the first day,, start from the day of miscarriage or the day i stopped bleeding ? thanks u so much !

Karen- I am so sorry for your loss.... first question I have, did you m/c naturally or have a D&C? Seems like hcg levels drop at different rates depending on method. I m/c naturally at 6.5 wks, and just this week finally had a period. My doctor monitored the beta hcg levels til they fell below 5(see signature) .
I was told that AF would come anywhere between 4-7 weeks after m/c. For me it was 7wks...ugh! I had bleeding heavily about 4 wks. after m/c and thought it was AF, however according to my RE, it was just residual bleeding from m/c due to higher hcg #'s still. Hope this helps a little bit..... there is a great site called missed miscarriage that I read alot of info. concerning dropping hcg. It just varies on each person's body, and mine seemed to be on the slow side according to my RE.

Karen,
I am very sorry for your loss. Get some time to rest and heal. I had a D&C and bled for a week (not a lot). AF came 40 days after (RE gave me something that helped). Wishing you good luck!

That's kind of sad to hear. It's weird but better yet talk to your gynecologist as you may have irregularities.
