Causes of Miscarriages

I found an article on some causes of miscarriage. It said that around 60 percent of first-trimester miscarriages are unexplained. The rest typically fall under one of these causes:

  • Hormones (such as low progesterone)
  • Chromosome defects
  • Physical problems with uterus or cervix
  • Immune issues
  • Premature rupture of membranes & early labor
  • Major infections (syphillis, mycoplasma, malaria, toxoplasmosis
  • Chronic diseases in the mother
My problem falls under the immune issues category.

Has anyone else had a miscarriage due to one of these problems?

I have, I had/have low hormones ( I am on progesterone gel every time or the one that goes in your mouth that evaperates slowly that you get at a compound pharmacy) and I have also had one loss due to chrom. abnormality, daugher would have ahd downs syndrome. We are still testing on some of the other things. I have to come to grips that most 1st trimester or less then 20 week losses are not explainable and I am one that HAS to have answers.
