sick after methotrexate?

so i had the shot last sat and i have the worst sinus infection ever now and am running a fever and feel miserable. Anyone else get sick after the stupid shot? i have a call out to my re's office and they're supposed to call me back... the only thing that usually helps me sleep is nyquill but that's got alcohol in it which we're supposed to avoid after the shot.. I took some last night w/out thinking but am afraid to take more.

Ohhh Cat, I'm so sorry to hear that your feeling miserable. I had never gotten sick and wish I could offer you some advice but I don't. I really just wanted to wish well and good luck. I hope you get better soon. You take care.

Heart

Catherine,

Methotrexrate is a small dose of chemotherapy (in case they didn't tell you), a very small dose. Even this every small dose made me very sick. I think it's pretty normal. Made me feel bad for cancer patients who have repeated larger doses, no wonder they get sick.

This too shall pass. I'm sorry you are going through it though.

Love,
Julie

Worst shot ever

I have had this shot with my ectopics before, and have never had any side effects, but this last time I felt like crap for days and when I asked my RE about this, he said that methoxrate can make you feel like you have the flu. I hope your feeling better and I pray your betas fall fast.

I fully expected the shot to make me sick, but it didn't. I think it probably affects everyone differently...or you may just have the plain old flu...it is going around. Anyway, sorry for your loss and hope you feel better soon....

Blessings, Michelle
