Cat, I don't have any answers for you. I didn't realize that they had to remove your tube, I'm very sorry. I believe from what I've heard that it might take a few months but eventually the one ovary will start to produce each month and take over for the ovary that is no longer able to release each month. I could be wrong but that's what I've heard. I have no idea about what to tell you about sex, definitely ask your doctor about that. Hope you are recovering well and I'm hoping a much better result for you next time.

I resumed activity 2-3 weeks after my ectopic/bilateral tubal removal. It was after the steri strips from my lap. incisions were off.

questions
My doctor didn't say anything about waiting 3 months to try again, I was told that I can try again with my next cycle after getting my tubes removed, which is exactly what I am doing. As far as activity goes I was told whenever I felt up to it, and let me tell you I had a lot of incision pain and my surgury was on 1/22 and this week is my first week back to working out in the gym. And I asked the same question about the egg, and what happens to it. My RE said that the egg just dies off after it is released, because it never meets up with the sperm. Take you time and listen to your body.

thanks for the info! the 3 months is because they gave me methotrexate before the surgery. I got the impression that had i just had surgery and not the shot that i could start a new cycle immediately. I'm actually not in any pain and don't have any stereo strips. But since i was rushed to the hospital and had a random dr do the surgery, I think it affected the info i received afterwards.

I like you also recieved methoxtrate before my surgury and have gotten every time I had an ectopic, and my RE never said anything about waiting 3 months, but the funny thing is that it takes about 3 months for your cycle to return to normal, because first you have to follow your betas down which take about 6 to 8 weeks and then wait for your cycle to start again, which is actually about the 3 months from beginning to end. Weird I guess, but who knows.....
