Books out there and venting

Hey there,

I was just curious if anyone has read the book "Trying Again"? My DH and I were thinking that we would like to try and emotionally how do you prepare to do that?

I know what I've been going through over the last two months and I have to say it just plain 'sucks'. I feel like I'm ready and I'm dealing with the emotional effects but physically - man I pulled a nutty last night because I still have sea legs from the bedrest and holes in my arms from all the blood draws and IV lines, etc. Does it get better?

I read the book "Trying Again" after my 1st miscarriage & found it to be very helpful. I am the type of person that likes to have lots of info though, and this book gives lots of info. However, when I got pregnant again a few months later, I found myself worrying about all kinds of things that were discussed in the book...things I really did not even know about until I read about them. But, in all, I did find it very helpful for my healing process.

Heart

Monica,

We are all different, we all deal with mc differently.

My best advice to you (or anyone) is focus on the future. You want a baby. The road is rougher for some of us, but it is what it is. Focus on the baby. Focus on having a family. Focus on being strong.

As bad and sad and whatever else mc is, it does make us stronger. When I found out I was pregnant in November 2006, I was sure I'd die if I mc'd, but I didn't, I couldn't. We have to keep it together, and get back in the game.

Time is VERY presious for us IF girls. We can't waste it, we HAVE to move on.

I hope this isn't coming across as too harsh, you all know where I've been, you know the long road I've traveled, so hopefully because of that it DOESN'T sound harsh.

Hang in there, don't give up hope. Especially for me, with no more treatment options, hope is all I have so I have to hang on tight.

You will get through this. We are here to support eachother. I hope I can help make you strong the way all of you help make me strong.

Hang in there, chin up. Have hope!

That's the best advice I can offer.

Love and hope to all,
Julie

Thanks Julie, I needed that. Sometimes when we're in it we don't see the good that can come of it.

Thanks for your help. I did get the book and haven't gotten very far, but the first chapter for me anyone was true.

Good luck to you.
