Unhappy It's over

I got my BFP on Valentines day. My husband and I weren't going to tell anybody for a while, but we couldn't resist. Not long after we found out we started calling our friends and family to tell them. Everybody was happy and things seemed as if all was right and good with the world.
That is until I started spotting and having some cramping last Tuesday. My doctor took me off of the pills and patches I was on and said they were just going to watch me for a while. He said things to me like "it's up to biology now" and "it is what it is". My betas wavered a little through the week, but started to climb some. Over three visits I had Methotrexate mentioned to me as a possibility, but I thought we were going to continue to hold out some hope. My beta on Monday was 999 and Wednesday it was about 1,700.
When the nurse called to tell me my results she didn't even tell me the numbers. The first thing she said was, "The doctor wants you to come in for your shot." My husband had to go to the pharmacy and pick up the injection and take it to the doctor's office. At about 4:15 I got two Methotrexate injections while I cried and held my husband's hand. I'm not feeling sick yet or even bleeding. I just feel sad.

R., I am really sorry to hear about your m/c. I know how heartbreaking it is to go through. We went through the same "wait and see" experience and even though the dr told us not to get our hopes up, it was impossible not to. When he finally told us it was not going to be a viable pg, I cried my eyes out. Please know that we are thinking of you.

Did they ever do an ultrasound? I don't know that I'd just let them give me a shot without at least confirming that either it was tubal or that something wasn't right and you'd miscarry. I'm so sorry honey.
