Try taking a bath with a little tea-tree oil in it (it burns a little) - you can get this at health food store- or a really safe, somewhat effective but gross thing you can do is to slather yourself with plain live culture yogurt and either sit on a towel or sit in the tub for 10 minutes before rinsing. Can also apply a bit and wear a pad.

This does help but it not as effective as monostat, but might tide you until you can ask the doc about it.

[quote=piffy]I don't feel nearly as stupid about Jen's cool biology babble about northern blots and gels and molecular weight...I can at least save to a server!!
teasing.
[quote]

HA! that's how much you know...it's WESTERN blots, not NORTHERN... westerns are for protein, northerns are for RNA. Now, southern blots are for DNA and of course there is always the southwestern blot, for DNA-protein interactions...

(me sticking my tongue out at you )

I hope you have a fabulous shower this weekend. Where are you that you living now?

Ohio...

I live near cincinatti now - very flat, very muddy, suprisingly rural. I chose to live in the country and commute, but my job is right on the edge of the city so not so bad.

It is 6 hrs to southwest va where I lived for the past 16 years. I am bringing lots of pillows as it is hard for me to be comfortable, so not looking forward to the car ride but will be glad to see my friends and family.

nighty-night all.

my dog ate my bra. i found 2 underwires, shredded padding and a deflated, soaking wet bra. nice.

shawna, yuck, i agree, call the dr and see if they can give you something. also, i too have heard about the live yogurt. it might be yuck, but it will probably soothe you for a little bit.

martie and susan, i love your belly pics! you both look so happy and glowy.

heidi, i'm so glad someone else watches 'top model'. i love that show. do you laugh at tyra and how insane she is?? i love how she tries to get really philosophical about modeling, as though it involves great intellectual concepts ... such as ... the 10 different ways to project an "intense" stare. she kills me. but it is wildly entertaining.

martie, i'm sorry about your test. i know it's pretty common for girls to fail it on the first round, so am surprised that they aren't going to give you the 3 hour test. there are a few girls on the june due dates thread who have been diagnosed with GD and are doing really well managing it with their diet.

amy, congrats on a great ultrasound! your baby looks absolutely adorable.

welcome bridget! i am very sorry to hear about your losses. as the others have said, you sound like an incredibly strong woman and i'm very glad you've found us.

hi josee. what do you mean a + sign next to my name? i don't see it ...

hope the rest of you lovely ladies are doing well! i posted a pic last night on june threads of my baby's absolutely enormous cheeks, so if anyone needs a giggle - go check it out.

shawna, i hope you get some relief soon. YI suck!

amy, that dog!! I hope it wasn't a good one.

DH and I went and bought three bras on Friday night, then went to the theatre, then home. When I got home, my bras were gone. I lost them in the train or the theatre. No one turned them in. Who steals bras?! So lame.

when I look down I don't see a + for Kris. Maybe you just think she is special ? Which of course, she is, but I still don't have a + for her.

Sorry that my boobs distracted you Josee
