I am not sure if any of you have seen this website (I think it is just a blog) herveryown This woman has had 3 miscarriages and is currently pregnant with twins. She makes me laugh. She has a strange since of humor so somethings she says are a little weird but all things I personally have felt. I laughed so hard one night my DH thought I was crazy.

Its too early. Don't do it. Especially not at night. First morning pee... I will read more to catch up. I survived the wedding!!! The bride has this 'thing' about photos. She must have spend $10K on photos alone!!! I think the plan was to put back on their wedding clothes and have more pictures taken around Denver. She really does like being in front of a camera! I will try and get a photo or 2 up soon. I don't know if DH got good photos of my hair (way cute!).

Do you think it's okay to have a heat pad on my belly. The achiness is constant and it feels nice. It's still warm from the PIO usage. Only for a couple of minutes at a time?? It's not like I'm bubbling away in the hotpool right?

Tia, goodluck with your u/s tomorrow.
Martie, I cannot believe you will not have internet after! Making us wait three days to hear about it!!! That is not fair. ![]() Alana, I am okay. I have weepy moments, but hopefully I will just have to get used to them for the next nine months! I am so ready for the tww. As for my boobs... ...They cost me about $5000, and I went under the muscle and through my armpit, and I used saline. I think they look real, and even in the gym in a sports bra people are surprised if they find out they are not. Of course they are 8 yrs old now, so they are settled comfortably. When I was super training and had a very low body fat (12-13%) you could tell. But now I am around 19% and I cannot see the difference. If you feel around you can tell a bit, But who cares they look good!! My sister just got silicone two weeks ago, she says they will look and feel more real. I did not want the scar under my boob though. With Saline they can insert through a tiny incision and fill it once it is in. The key to a 'real' look is to go under the muscle, and not too big.Heidi , your grandma's nickname isn't the black widow huh?..... Interesting question about the heating pad. I wondered about that as well last time when I used it on my butt after PIO. I have no clue, sorry. Maybe someone else will.......Ronni, don't do it......lol. I can certainly understand the temptation though. Yes, you should always test in the AM.Jen! I am thrilled you survived. ![]()

Tia - Good luck with your baseline u/s tomorrow! I never did GonalF... just did Follistim so I don't know about the side effects. I think the jinx of your sister ends at 40
![]() Alana - We are going to miss you when you're gone for 5 whole days. I thought of you today... I was reading one of my books that was talking about the long term emotional effects of a m/c or a difficult pregnancy. The author was joking that she did eventually stop worrying - when she dropped her child off at his freshman dorm for college! So, it's not just you. She also listed all the typical things that people say to you after a m/c and why they are all awful to the mom going through it. Very interesting questions on the plastic surgery... can you research lipo for me while you're at it? Heidi - My maternal grandfather remarried to a black widow too and guess who died first? Yep, grandpa! It was this woman's third husband too. I feel bad for the fourth ![]() Ronni - It's too early to POAS. I swear. Try to wait 2 more days and then go with the first morning pee. The earliest any of us in the January thread saw a + was a week after ET and for most it was even later. Jen - Can't wait to see the pics. What did you do with your hair? Brenna - Thanks for being so honest about your surgery. I'm sure I'll be thinking back on this conversation post breastfeeding! As for the heating pad question, yes you can use one. I've asked. Not really hot but the RE and the OB said you can use it warm if that would help. You just don't want to really raise the body temp significantly. Plus, all the docs said not to put the heat directly on your skin but to wrap it in something or use clothing in between. DH pulled his back out on Friday at work moving wine cases so now he has been the patient for the weekend. So, little ole me, had to get up early and get him prescription meds at the pharmacy, get him lunch before my open house, and then try not to strangle him when I got home from my open house to find him in the exact same position on the couch. Guess my look (and stomping around) must have conveyed how irritated I was that this was our day off together b/c he immediately started looking up restaurants for dinner ![]()

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and say I don't cope with BCPs well... at all... I've been moody, uber depressed, and just not myself for the past week... and I've avoided the forum because I can't bring myself to contribute unless I can do it without transforming into mega-b i t c h.
But now I'm back, I'm a little better (for now) and busy as hell. I have one week to finish this paperwork and I will start my ST next week. (hopefully). I'm stressed and depressed (bad combo) and DH has been shielding the brunt of it. This is primarily why I stopped taking BCPs when we first got married... they made me absolutely unbearable... First they had me on BCPs, then they added zoloft, then they added adavan... finally, when I was walking around like a zombie and couldn't even bring myself to hug my husband, I dropped it all... cold turkey. It was like I was a new woman. Ugh... I wish there was a different way to do whatever BCPs do in an IVF cycle... without screwing with my brain. *sigh*So, let's catch up... Rachael - Congrats on making the "viable" mark with Aiden! You must be at least a little more relieved now... now it's okay to relax a little more, right? And I don't think there is anything wrong with having high expectations for our husbands... if you lower the bar, they have nothing to live up to. I try to have him aim for perfection and what I get is pretty great. It must be so great getting your nursery all together, getting your baby stuff in... it must feel so real. I tried some Merlot Saturday night (we went out to Olive Garden after sunset...) and enjoyed it and I thought of you and all my other "wino" forum friends... I also tried the chianti but I didn't enjoy it like the merlot. My girlfriend and I decided we needed to go on a wine tasting convention... I thought that might be a lot of fun.Brenna - FET Saturday, right? How are you feeling? Jen - LOVE the lizard. Do you take her out to freak out the neighborhood? We saw big ones like that in Puerto Rico... next to the highways and everything... everywhere. Glad to see you've survived the wedding and the bridezilla... you'll have to give me pointers as I will be doing that next summer... and hopefully I'll be VERY pregnant. ![]() Heidi - I can carry on whole conversations with my husband in my sleep... he's starting to, too. And he makes jokes about how we split the bed... my half is the bed and his is teetering on the seam, using that warning tag for his blanket... yeah, I'm a hog. Anyways, too bad your "rendezvous" in the bathroom during the movie was for PIO... tee hee. Dr. Clark is a wonderful doctor... but he does the IUIs and he's in Worcester... he does all the procedures fov IVF UP TO the actual IVF procedure... for those I will have to go to Lexington to see Dr. Summers. Summers is a good guy, too. I like his accent and very dry humor. It might be worth at least meeting him. One week left til Beta! I'm so praying for you, sweets. And the heat pad? Only for 5-10 minutes at a time... and only once an hour. If you heat your body up too much for too long, you could put your embaby at risk. How you feeling now?Shawna - I haven't seen you post in a while, either... everything okay or are you lurking for similar reasons that I did? Great big hug, sweetie... and I love Canada, too... thought about moving there, actually... not til after we have children, though... can't move out of MA till then. Alana - Ugh, I'm printing out t-shirts for the crabby and hormonal... it's amusing that we all got to this hormonal phase at around the same time. Sorry about all the drama with the no D&C... but glad you don't have to do surgery... hope the mistoprostal works for you. And with your spaniel and the heart murmur, too? Too much all at once. You need this vaca. Ronni - Like I said to Alana, I'm printing out t-shirts for the crabby wives... maybe some for the DHs out there, too... something like, "Be nice to me, my wife is on hormones." Your beta is in four days! EEK! How are you feeling? I'm sorry none of your embabies made it to freeze but your RE put in the strongest ones... got everything crossed for you. My DH doesn't want me to POAS ever either... he wants me to wait until beta but that never happens. I need to know ahead of time so I can prepare myself... you know?Tia - good luck with your baseline today!!! Martie - only 3 more days til FET, right? Good luck to you, too!!! Susan - oh, sweets, you've just had a run of bad luck lately, ay? Forget stupid, fat, ugly secretaries... she obviously has nothing better to do with her life than meddle in yours... don't give her any satisfaction. And cookies make everything feel better... expecially good ones... don't slack when it comes to cookie therapy, k? ![]() Ugh, I'm going to be late... I've missed you girls.

Hi Shelly!!! Sorry you've been in a BCP funk. They suck! I haven't had to take them for years. First I quit them for the reasons you stated, and secondly I realised we weren't terribly fertile anyhoo so why bother. All those years of contraceptives. At least you're taking them for a good reason this time.
Keep focused on the outcome and use binoculars if you have to to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It'll all be okay. ps. i had a friend at school when I was 6 or so called Shelly Pepperall! She was part maori with a huge amount of long red curly hair!! (I spelt her name slightly different in case she googles herself)

Hi girls,
I am in a total funk. Tell me if I am overreacting.... DH and I were sitting in the liveing room last night at 8pm just reading and hanging with the doggies. His phone rang- it was a girl he went to college with that I have never met but know that they have talked on ocassion. She must have asked him what he was doing because he said "i am just hanging out wit my dogs'. It was as though I did not exist. THEN he procedded to go into the basement with his computer and I could hear him making plans for her to come here on Saturday. I yelled down to him that my brother-in -law was coming home from Iraq on SAT after being away for 16 months and so that whatever he was planning would not work. He called up, "It's at night", then continued talking. Finally after ten more minutes, I went downstairs and said I feel very uncomfortable with you sitting in the basement talking to some girl that I do not know. I said did you ever think about making me feel included in your plans with her? He finally hung up and then said I embarrassed him and that she wanted to know why I was yelling. Excuse me girl, but who do you think you are to call my house at 8pm on a Sunday and not feel like you might be acting rude by doing so? Am I overreacting? I don't think I am, but I will listen to all feedback. I do on occasion talk to my ex that I share a dog with but my husband knows this, I don't hide it from him and he is friendly with him, they went to med school togather. Please tell me if I am being ridiculous. DH and I are in trouble....

Heidi- I have used a an herbal wrap heated in the micromave for my belly before, but I think Heating pads actually have radioactivity so I would be cautious. Then again using a microwave proably is not healthy either!
Rachael- congrats on your milestone! That is faantastic! Grits- Thanks for sharing the boob story, I am feeling like mine have been shrinking over the last three months... They were pretty plump there for a bit but now I am truly empty of all meds from my system and they are back to normal. I will be looking for some surgery post baby. Alana- How are you hun? Shelly? Good to see you back. I felt the same way on BCPs. Awful and B*tchy! Martie, Tia and Ronni- How you girls doing? Ronni- Don't do it- way too early. Jen- What do you know about histioctyosis? BTW- Both of my dogs have whipworm. Ughhh. I have spent five hundred dollars on them this week. Riley is having a biopsy on Thursday. Poor little pup. Their doggie farts are not smelling so nice right now... Ewwwww..

I am going to try and catch up a little bit.
Susan- I am so sorry for what you are going through. I didn't know this, but histiocytosis is a type of cancer common in your dog breed. There are 2 types, malignant and systemic. Systemic is the less aggressive form. THere is also: Neither form of histiocytosis should not be confused with benign histiocytomas. Benign histiocytomas are common in dogs. They form skin lumps that do not metastasize and sometimes go away by themselves. You should also look into this: Histiocytosis is known to be inherited in Bernese Mountain dogs. The mode of inheritance is polygenic meaning that many genes are involved. The disease often appears after a dog has been bred so without a conscientious effort by all breeders and owners it cannot be eliminated from the gene pool. Owners should report all cases of histiocytosis to their breeder and also participate in the Berner-Garde / Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America cancer study. I hope your poochie has the benign form. It is so hard when animals get sick. My mom just found out that her cat probably has cancer. It is heartbreaking. Rachael- I don't think I congratulated you and Aiden! Congrats! How are you feeling? Sounds like you are still running around lots. You take it easy. Tia-good to see you back. Good luck with your u/s. Report back when you can. Shelly-I was on BCP for 13 years. When I got off of them I was so estatic! What a new person I was! And I was able to tone up and lose some belly fat. Maggie is a great iguana. I used to take her to the beach and out to art fairs in the summer when she was much smaller and could ride on my shoulder/head. Now she is way too fat. But I do bring her outside on nice days. She prefers to run around the house. Outside she has to be on a leash. Alana- I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip. I wish I could just stay home and curl up with a good book today. It is pouring outside and I hate driving in the rain. Plus I am going to get soaked going into work! Martie and Brenna- good luck on your upcoming FETs. Martie- I can't believe you won't have internet for 3 days after! We need updates here! Okay, I guess we will wait ![]() Okay, the rest I will have to wait until I get home from work. I gotta go brave the rain. I will leave you with this one photo from the wedding. DH didn't get the back of my hair, but it was so cute- updo with big ringlets. They bounced when I moved, which was surprising cause I had at least a can or 2 of hairspray that the lady put in my hair!

Jen good to see you back! You survived the weekend!! I love the picture. You're obviously one of those girls who looks great with or without makeup and with hair up or down. Hope you managed to have a good time with at least some of the festivities!
Shelly - I can totally relate to the BCP issues. I bet we all can so don't feel one bit bad. We've misse dyou though! Susan - I'd be pissed too. Unfortunately I have some of the green monster in me at times and can be jealous even though I know it's futile and a waste of energy. Your DH seemed to be pretty incosiderate about the whole situation from what I can tell. I just hope it didn't launch and big nasty fight. I hate it when that happens. We're here for you if you need to vent. Rachael - I'm so sorry I failed to congratulate you on passing the 6 month mark! That's is too cool. Seems like just yesterday...
