oh dear you are very brave to give yourself the PIO shot. I make my DH do it, I guess if I had to I would, I learned how to do the smaller ones myself. But the PIO ones are so darn big!

Sept. 2004 ectopic pregnancy (lost left tube) 2006 4 IUI no success May 2007 1st IVF *pregnancy but lost on 6/24/07 at 8 weeks 3 days Sept 2007 FET 9/07 AF is here  here we go again!!9/10 screen scan ultrasound 9/11 start 75 iu of Gonal F 9/17 BW and ultrasound (everything going along fine increase gonal f to 150iu) 9/20 bw and ultrasound (lining at 12mm, but eggs only went from 12 to 14mm, e2 not high enough) 9/22 bw and ultrasound(everything grew nicely 1 more night of meds!!!!) 9/23 trigger 9/27 ET (3 frozen embryos) 10/8 beta 21  10/10 beta 51  10/22 ultrasound (1 little Jelly Bean) 11/05 2nd ultrasound (heart beat 170 bpm) 11/12 3rd u/s due to spotting (all is well h/b 185 bpm) EDD June 18, 2008

Don't feel bad Shelly. I felt the same way as you at times. I knew someone that got pregnant the same time of year with each kid to work in with her work schedule. It was like clockwork. I almost couldn't take it.
It sounds like your friend may be gloating a bit. Does she know about your pregnancy losses? If so, then she is totally being insensitive and I don't blame you for feeling put off. Just remember that when you have your babies they will be waaay cuter than hers.

Wasn't Shawna's DH interviewing to be a police officer and they were going out of town for the tests? Or is that someone else? I'm so sorry if it is... I have the worst memory.
Shelly - I think your "friend" may be purposely spiteful right now. Block away! This is not the sort of person you need around you. I was just thinking today of the one comment that would always hit my nerve from my friends "Well, you'll see when you have your own kids". Urgh! Hated that one and I SWEAR I will never say it to anyone. Alana - I just wanted to make sure you were prepared. It's not TMI... sure not as much fun as taking sexy lingerie on a trip but I just think you might find some answers there that have nothing to do with your wonderful eggs and DH's great spermies. Just my non-scientific hunch. Susan - I love your life and all your fun hobbies and studies! Let DH save the lives... at least you can translate on the next trip to Italy! I definitely want to see that movie. It's the one with Greg Kinnear right? I'm going to beg DH to take me one night. I still have to watch this weeks Tell Me You Love Me. I missed it on Sunday. But, I'm addicted to Law & Order SUV and there is a new one tonight.

Shelly I know how you feel my Boss is pregnant and about to pop sometime in Oct. First of all she told eveyone at work through e-mail. Then she came up to me and asked me if I was mad at her, which made me cry (I was so mad that I cried about this). All of this was before I got pregnant and had the miscarriage. She has since talked non stop about how she is not sure she really wanted another child because two is going to be so hard (she has a stepson, she never talks about even though he is at her house every other weekend). Yes she does know about my problems because she is my boss and I tell her about all my appoinments since there are so many have to have so many. She also takes every chance to talk about the baby being hungry or tired or she how she will have to go pee (yes pee not the restroom) if a meeting goes on for too long (there were vps in this meeting) These type of people are allowed to reproduce while we are trying so hard how unfair. There is another lady at work who is pregnant and she will not talk about it unless I ask her which I find much friendlier. She even called me up specially to tell me she was pregnant so I did not hear if from someone else.

I have a feeling the worrying Moms syndrome goes along with IF. I just read a book by a woman that had difficulties both with conception and her pregnancy and she said she stopped worrying when she took her son to college! Another funny story from the book - they had done all sorts of testing and several IUIs and she just knew it wasn't working. Well, on the last round, on the way to the clinic with her little "cup" of DH between her legs for safe keeping, she got stopped by a police officer for speeding and ran over a pigeon on the way to the clinic. She just knew her IF karma wasn't going to work that round and it was the one!
