Afternoon ladies.

Tia I just read your FB post...I'm super excited over here, this is going to be a fantastic month.

Rachael, hun. We understand how tough these dates are and I'm thinking of you today. Give Aiden a kiss from his Cyber Auntie Alana.

Jen, YAY for feeling sick. Your little embie is growing nice and strong by the sound of it. Can we give them a nickname after your u/s?? Have you thought of any yet?

Hi Shawna.

April, hows the weather? Its actually really really hot here today, in the thirties (not sure what that is in farenheit). But its not the same when theres no beach...I love to swim on hot days. Do you have a pool?

Susan, I love that stroller you posted. I wish they would deliver them to Canada, theres some stupid regulation that means most of the US stores won't. My guess is the government here just wants more money! I bet if I find one in a store here in Toronto it will be about twice the price...honestly...we are so ripped off when buying stuff here its insane. Did I tell you all the difference in our flights? To fly to NY from Toronto the cheapest price available was $950, the majority of which was taxes. Then we checked out US prices and we are flying out of Buffalo for $450 in total, taxes included!! How insane is that?? How can the Canadian government even justify such high taxes??!! DH said its actually the highest tax on any airport in the world. Not exactly an achievement I think Toronto should be proud of! lol

Okay, thats my rant for the dayl. I'm just getting fed up with paying so much for everything, it was even cheaper in the UK and thats saying something. But back to this stroller, do you think it will be sold on ebay? I might be able to convince a private seller to send it across the border, I've had some success that way. Otherwise, I might look for one in Buffalo on the way back. Does Target or anywhere else sell this brand? I just really like it.

Oh, and did you girls see this latest news article? I'm sure this only affects Heidi and me, us NZ girls tend to have endless mercury fillings for some reason while you North Americans have really good teeth. But it makes me worry I'm poisoning Reed now as I have about three. Crap, I thought I already had enough to think about. FDA to Investigate Possible Risks of Mercury Dental Fillings

Alana- Chances are that you can't buy the american stuff because it is not CSA approved or whatever the approval is. It has to have a Canadian approval sticker on anything, so they cannot ship them across the border. Our standards and USA standards are different. Don't ask me how, but they are. It's the same with bringing anything from any other country though. It just has to be approved for use in Canada kind of thing and since they don't have the same sticker, I don't think they can ship across the border. As far as strollers go, I think it woudl be okay, but it would be a major fine if you chose a carseat from the states and used it in canada.

I think I will definately get the car-seat from here. I don't want to be pulled over with some dodgy seat hooked up and Reed falling out of it! lol. I hope you're right about the strollers too, I'll have to do some ebay research and see what I can come up with. You might hear of a crazy Kiwi girl running the Buffalo border with a Phil and Teds in tow!!

Its really really really hot here now, I'm literally melting. I can't complain though, its been so crappy here, I love it when its finally warm. I'm actually sitting here in a ball of sweat refusing to turn the air-conditioning on because I just can't handle shutting all the windows again. They are closed up all year. I love being able to open the windows.

I think I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions. At least I assume thats what it is. I don't have any pain but my entire abdomen tightens into this rock hard ball for a couple of minutes then loosens again. The first time I felt hit happen I thought the baby was pushing really hard against me...lol...then I googled it and I do think its Braxton Hicks. Anyone else had these and does this sound like them?

Thanks for the hugs gals! I took Aiden out to run a bunch of errands and he was the perfect angel. Not even a peep out of him in the stroller the whole time. He is such a cutie that I can't help but smile at him. I have to post some more pics of him eating and Cooper helping!

Alana - I would guess you can find that stroller on Ebay. You can definitely find in NYC. Could you buy it while you were there and take it back that way? Might have to pay extra for baggage is all... you might have a nice check in person that helps you out. Those are definitely braxton hicks to me. I didn't know what it was either when they started happening. Oh, and I have tons of mercury fillings too! Too much coke drinking as a child.

Shawna - Sorry you have some sad memories this week too. I hope they at least get your u/s figured out.

Tia - I'm headed over to FB for the big news now!

Lmao...because as I said earlier....shes a BIATCH!! Lol, and yes I am very interested. Is it in the US or Canada? I wonder what shipping of a Phil and Teds stroller would cost? I feel I should try to buy one though, being as its a New Zealand brand and all. Gotta support the home team.

I seriously thought a stroller would cost in the $100 range. WTF? What are with these high tech buggies? I don't get it? Are they supposed to be more comfortable for baby?
