Kelly we are bad planners so usually just hit the road and see where we end up. We found our way to Monument Beach, but didn't have the right parking sticker thingy and DH was getting stressed about it, so we stayed a while and then made our way back to a fairly empty area on Onset Beach. The traffic wasn't bad at all and especially because we were heading home about the time people were going the other way.
Where's Marlboro? I'll have to google it?

Marlboro is near Framingham, Hudson, Southboro...its up on 495north. We are meeting for lunch Monday at Olive Garden by the Soloman Pond Mall. I have a satelite office out here when I am not in Boston.
Glad you had a nice day at the beach...at least you weren't trapped in an office like me.

Haha... Heidi, so funny... it would have been good, you're right...
And though my family isn't nearly as far away as yours is, they're not close. My gram is the closest at 45 minutes north... but all the rest of my family is 3.5 (Mom is actually 4) hours north... I mean, I'm sure you're right... I'm sure this will be the fastest two months of my life... but being the person that I am, I need constant socialization... it's a sickness, really. ![]() I need to take a nap... DH isn't in the doghouse... I explained myself and explained that I think I'm actually starting to panic about this whole "Mom" thing... I've been so focused on getting pregnant and staying pregnant that I haven't spent a lot of time focusing on the parenting part... and it is starting to occur to me that I have some apprehensions regarding my abilities in this area... I mean, what the heck do I have to look at as my model?! I have some great "What NOT to do"s... like, never offer your three year old beer, never intentionally smash your children's heads together in a fit of rage at their incessant fighting, never drive your children around town while you're three sheets to the wind and then some... I mean, I think those are words of wisdom right there... but the continual self-doubt creeps in and makes me ask myself, am I really ready to do this?! Egats.

Shelly - you are totally ready for Danny to arrive and will be a wonderful Mom! The things we endured as children only make us stronger and realize what NOT to do to our own children. Anyone who goes through the battle of IVF truly understands what a blessing a child is and will do whatever it takes to give that child a beautiful life.
Shawna - I hope they get the refrigerator fixed soon! That would be stressful!! Kelly - good luck tomorrow morning - you are officially on your way. Have a glass of wine for me tonight too! We are staying local this weekend too because we have a rehersal dinner tomorrow night and a wedding on Saturday in Boston. We usually go to Newport and I am going to miss it! Happy 4th everyone!

Apparently, the settings were all fugged up! (on the fridge) If you ask me, I dont believe it but we' shall see what happens! The sucky thing is we're being booted out of here tonight so they can show this place....ummm why can it not wait?! Our poor kitties! LOL.
Speaking of kitties, DH was joking around last night and holding one of them and said "What are we going to do when we have children with these cats?" The look on my face was like  "Whaatttttttttttttttt?!" Then hes like "psych! No way in hell would I get rid of these two, they are just as much our children as our children will be!" He knows how I feel about that, since I have a friend who got a dog when she was having trouble and her husband wouldn't help her take care of it. Now the husband still doesn't take care of it and they are trying to dump the dog on someone else. It really upsets me. That poor dog! Back to the shelter....

Kelly, I would kill for a glass! I will admit I had a couple of small ones while in NYC, it was too tempting to resist.
Anyway, Shawna thats so exciting about your follies, you are a little egg-making machine over there. I am trying to figure out putting some pics of our trip on here but they are all huge and need resizing so I might try tomorrow. I'm actually feeling really lousy today, tired and unwell which I think is just third trimester yuckness but I'm really hoping isn't a virus. Thank goodness I had all those echos and tests the last few weeks as my OB hasn't seen me in over 2 months! I haven't even had any of those tests all you girls get, the glucose etc. I don't think I have a problem there anyway, I have no symptoms of GD etc. But still, it would be nice to be in NZ right now with my sisters doctor who would see me every other day if I wanted. As for NYC...I LOVE that city. We stayed in a little boutique hotel in the Upper West side and I fell completely in love with all the brownstones. We had the best diner across the road that made the most amazing breakfasts, the rest of the time we just ate at whatever restaurant/cafe we bumped into. Mostly we tried to visit the neighbourhoods, like Greenwich Village, Soho, Brooklyn. In fact, at 6 1/2 months pregnant I walked across Brooklyn Bridge at dusk and had such a great time! I thought Brooklyn was really cute actually, it had the best view of the city also. Oh, I also love Central Park, I could just sit in that place all day. Its so hard to believe you are in one of the biggest cities in the world when you are in there, its amazingly peaceful and beautiful. We would have eaten at the Boathouse restaurant in the park if we'd had more time so thats our plan for our next trip. I LOVE LOVE LOVE New York city!!

I don't even like potato salad, but I NEED it right now.
Shawna-congrats on all those follies and for getting this show on the road! ER this Saturday? Wow that would be fast! OH, and the $400 for the 12 pills is for generic! Kelly-yay for the witch's arrival!!! Heidi-your picture is up in my office and I can see it from the dining room and the kitchen I had a good day at work. Went to lunch with a woman I worked at in the last place and now works with me here (although in a different department) and DH. Mexican (yum!). Then I had a sit down with my boss and the Safety Officer, both very excited to have a pregnant woman in the labs (who would have thought?). We went over all the safety issues and they told me anything I don't feel comfortable doing, I don't have to and that I can see the Occupational Drs if I want (I don't want) and that they are having a EH&S person come in the next 2 weeks to retrain everyone on radiation safety and they will warn everyone to be extra careful working around me. The only request I had was to not handle the stock solutions of the radiation (the most dangerous part, but still not that bad). They showed me yearly exposure records for heavy rad workers, they were all under 11mRads. A pregnant woman should have a 9 month gestation exposure of under 500mRad so everyone is way under limits. And my team partner will do the stock vial labeling for me, so no worries. Then, when my boss and I got back to our office area she did a loud whisper to everyone that 'Jen is pregnant!'. It was funny. I can't believe how excited everyone is for a new worker that is pregnant!!! Now this is the hard part. DH told me today that a company is going to open a R&D lab right across the street from his company, and they will be doing Crystallography. And they are going to be hiring a bunch of people soon. DH's company is probably going to have retention bonuses so people from his company don't jump ship. But, I AM A CRYSTALLOGRAPHER BY TRAINING!!! I really really really want to get back to my roots. But I like the people in my new job. What to do??? Well, DH will definitely apply to jump ship. I told him that he better get a high enough position that will allow him to make the decision to have a husband/wife team, because after I have the baby, I want to go back to my roots! Still feeling nauseated. And still no sign of pooing. And Shelly, I have taken your advice and have been eating a cup of applesauce every day.

Hi everyone.
Feeling like a lurker today. Kelly glad you got AF finally. Shawna- You go on those follies. Are they that big already that they would do ER on Saturday? That's fast! Jen- I am really happy you like your job, just go wth it for now and then once you see what happens with Walt's position maybe you can make a decision? Shelly, Kelly and Heidi- I think(Heidi let me know if this has changed) that Heidi and I are doing the Roger Willimas Park thing on Monday afternoon. But wouldn't it be nice if we all met up somewhere? Heidi- Let me know what you are up for and what time! Oh and about adoption and IF. I think no matter how/where these children come from they will be loved and love you back just as equally as the other. you have so much to give and its clear how nurtuting a person you are. You could never go wrong. Don't let yourself feel guilted into anything and dont feel guilty for any decisions. There are many, many reasons why people choose to adopt. No right or wrong. Shelly- I am also feeling the anxiety kick in full force regarding my parenting abilities. I was raised pretty poorly myself with an alcoholic father who smoked the wacky tabacky and then drive around with the two of us in the hatchback with no seat of a sports car(2 seater). I can still remember the smell of the pot and the contact high. It's a wonder all of my cells are functioning- hmmm... are they? Alana- I am glad you enoyed NYC. What is the name of the hotel? DH and I lookk for diferent boutique hotels in little neighborhoods all the time. Post the link if you can. It's a great city. So your OB does not want to see you every two to three weeks? They are not doing the GD test? Who are these people??? Devan- How you doing hun? Tia- how does it feel to be preggo? I just ate a lot of stuff... I have not seen Dh but for five minutes all week. He is operating late again. This is getting ridiculous. The preggo partner of his is now on permanent bedrest until September so it's getting scary as to whether or not DH will be able to be with me when I deliever and after at home. This sucks. According to Puck and Riley, there is an impending storm. If they could find a way to fit in my butt, that's wehre they would be right now.
