Susan I think he wanted me to be loopy because he could tell I was an uptight weanie. I hope I am just making a big deal out of this like I always do and there is nothing to worry about (still not taking category X drug though).

I really need to quit my job. 7 pages is WAY too much to catch up on each night!

Amy-you look, as always, beautiful. You are just a gorgeous woman

Marissa-glad you are going to go for the job. As you should.

Alana-you gotta stop worrying about RPL. After the first trimester, it wasn't even an issue. Your RPL, like mine, was a early pg issue. Your baby is now viable outside the uterus, so please try and enjoy your last weeks of pregnancy! That is so important. I don't think it makes sense to take your baby out early because you had early m/c's. Sure, if that is what you want, but there is no medical reason for it.

Girls-Happy Anniversary! You all have helped me through so much and I am just grateful for having all of you.

April-safe journey. Red eye, huh? I never see those anymore.

Rach-have fun at dinner tonight.

Susan-thanks for reporting to the girls for me.

Shawna-keep on POAS!!!

So as Susan said, the NT scan was great. The fold was measuring 0.7mm and the nasal bone was present. The perinatal center was doing a study on early pgs where they are trying to determine if they can find out (early in pg) who is at risk for preeclampsia, early delivery, cord issues, etc. All it required from me was a few extra tubes of blood and a LONGER U/S!!! The Dr. measured my arteries that go into the placenta, and we got to watch Walnifer bounce around He even gave us a treat and turned on the 4D for us! He tried to get a peek for an early sex determination, but no dice. He is having me come back for the quad screen in 4 weeks and he told me that he would do a quick check for sex then. I really liked this guy. Then came time for the blood draw. Turns out, there was no nurse there. Just a receptionist, the study person (B.S? M.S?) and some other random person. Anyway, I think it was the receptionist who tried to draw blood and totally missed The great Dr. came by and saw all the women (whatever their titles were) hovering around me and told them to back off. He got my other arm (the one with scar tissue) on the first shot w/o any pain. Love him!
Then, at the occupational health for my blood draw for the Hep B antibody test, the med tech was literally shaking when she saw both of my small bruises. She didn't want to go into my right arm (no scar tissue) but I wanted her to. She missed. And seriously, no sh itting you, her arms were shaking so bad! She kept apologizing saying that she shook when she got nervous. So she finds a vein on my scarred arm (no scar on that vein) and was shaking again but actually hit the vein (I almost grabbed the needle to do it myself). It didn't hurt, much, but she was still shaking as she was filling the tube! WTF! My 2 other newbie coworkers had to get their blood drawn after me. They had absolutely NO problem. Took them 2 minutes each. Took my draw 15. WTF! I think she was nervous because I am pregnant. I will NEVER go back there!!!

Anyway, here are the pics from today

Tia-I have eaten tuna a few times. I love tuna sandwiches!!!

Marissa-I think you will be fine with the benadryl and novacaine. Novacaine is a localized medicine. And the benadryl is probably unnecessary. But if I was going to have a root canal, I would have them put me out!

Thanks Jen, you wouldn't risk the category X drug would you? Do you think that there is any truth to Dh's theory that if it doesn's show on HPT yet then it wont harm baby?

Marissa-no I wouldn't take a class X drug if there was even a remote chance that I was pg. And after O, those 2 weeks are critical (before the BFP). In fact, up until 6 weeks so much is going with the baby so I would err on the safe side.

Thanks girls The baby had its hands close to its face, trying to figure out how to suck its thumb.

oh, this Dr. was so funny. AND I need to state this was my first abdominal u/s and that was cool! Anyway, he is an older man (60s?) and he was moving the probe around and he said 'move your hands kid'. Well, my hands were holding my shirt, just under my bra, so I immediately move my hands to above my head, and he looks at me and says "I meant the little turkey, not you!". It was so funny. Every time he did something wrong he would say, 'John you are a nimrod" or John, you are a turkey', so I didn't feel bad about him calling my little one a turkey or a little booger. This was was so funny.

the one thing he did do wrong was book 2 Jennifers for the same time. When he gave us our pictures, Walt looks at them and says, our last name is not XXXX. The Dr. goes, Oh Shi t! and blacks out the name, then goes through the computer to fix it. THen he said, well so much for HIPPA! Too funny. Really, it was just her name with my baby's info, so no big deal.

Marissa- There are no contraindications in taking Benadryl with novacaine. (nurse here ) BUT- The have no solid info on using novacaine in the first trimester and my dentist strongly recommended that I wait until the second trimester to have the work done.
I went back at around 12 weeks or so to have it done and just refused the novacaine anyway.
I would talk to your dentist and OB before doing anything at all if you really want to play it safe.
I think it will probably be fine. I had a chest xray and a CT scan durig my first and second trimester and I have been on several antibiotics and other meds. Jeez I think we all have on here!

But to feel more comfortable and safe, just run it by everyone. I hope I did not scare you

I am going again next week.

Marissa - my dad is a dentist and i have had several root canals. you do not need to take anything beforehand - the novacaine should be fine. If you are a wee bit nervous...take T3 or Benadryl. You are going to be given some sort of pain med afterwards too. Make sure you tell them you might be preggers!!!

GREAT - I just popped a vicoden because my cramping and leg pain is getting to me. Knowing my luck I will get pg ...while taking vicoden, anti-anxiety meds, etc!

Anyway....just watched Project Runway from last night. That is one of my favorite shows. The designers this season are top of the line. LOVESSS it!

Jen - I am glad everything went well today. Such cute u/s pics.

Heidi - you and I are def. going to go down to RI together!! we will have a fun time.

Shawna - you POASing tomorrow??!

April - safe travels!!

Tia & Josee - TAKE PICTURES TOMORROW!!! Have fun at lunch. Though I am sure we will chat beforehand.

Josee - how was your meeting tonight??
