Thanks girls. I'm just going to take it easy for a few days, too bad what my work thinks. Then I'm having an ultrasound probably on Friday to check its all clear in there and then the many many tests begin. I think the first is checking for blood clotting issues, then its hormone levels, lining issues, and HSG (ouch!) and some others I forget. Hopefully something will show up. If not, theres a programme here in Toronto for 'unexplained' pregnancy loss so we can join that then.

Well, I'm glad you are not worried about what work thinks, this is an important part of your life and work will just have to understand or else ...
I sure hope you guys are able to get answers. Sounds like you will be getting tested for everything under the sun which I'm sure seems like a lot but hey, it will hopefully get you guys some much needed answers. You are forsure in my thoughts and prayers.

What type of programs is the "unexplained" pregnancy loss group? Is it like a support group or for medical / insurance purposes? I'm just curious, seems that the US and CA do things so differently.

Its actually a research program. They take on couples who have no known medical reason for the miscarriages and use different treatments to help them. Mostly autoimmune stuff I think. Its actually pretty successful as well so its great to have that as a back-up. Its being supported by Canada Health so I'm lucky to have it here in Toronto.

Alana- I"m sorry you had to go through that and you were in so much pain. I agree with you on how it feels as my first miscarriage happened at home and the mistoprotol was an after thought on the doctor's part. I thought I was givng birth, I even asked for pain killers and they were preparing to give me Morphine!

I worried about you so much! Take it easy and:

Please report what happened to your doctor, if you lost that much blood you could be very anemic and you CAN get very sick from it. (Just ask my friend who was hospitalized for two weeks, in so much pain and all because she was anemic.) I would start supplementing iron, three times a day if I was you as well as asking for them to do blood counts on you. Please, promise me you will do this! I have been dealing with anemia for the last four years of my life and it doesn't get better, it gets worse. Please, have the doctor check you out!!

Thanks for the advice Shawna. I'm going in to see my RE on Thursday so I'll mention the blood loss. Did you supplement with any particular iron tablets or just standard pharmacy ones? I might phone my DH and get him to pick some up for me if thats the case. And yes...I'm sure Rachael will be able to confirm this in a couple of months...but it was I'm sure just like birth pains. Its was AGONY!!

Alana- I believe I take Eurofer or something of the like, your DH will have to ask at the pharmacy as they keep it behind the counter but it's all you need. Take it with a glass of Orange Juice as it can upset the stomach.

Just a brief as I ran home to check on my kitties after their big day at the vet (they seem a little lithargic...).

Alana- . You must get some iron in you- yes, you can take OTC stuff.

Susan-how is your poochie?

All you others-I'll check in after work and yoga (DH is making ME go, how funny is that!). I hurt my back at work yesterday so hopefully it helps.

Alana - Your experience sounds just awful. I'm glad to hear DH was there to support you and you got through it. Get plenty of rest, fluids, iron and pampering. You definitely deserve some time to take care of yourself and be with DH. I hope the upcoming round of tests get you some much anticipated answers.

Alana-
I a so glad to see you checked in but so sorry to see how much pain you were in while we were missing you. I hope the worst is over for you ow and you can find a way to heal and move on. I am hurting for you. So sad when my girsl are hurting. Your pain is so close to me. All of you. We are in this together, so let's hold hands and get through it, o.k?

My doggie has five different diagnoses. The one that worries me the most is Lupus. It runs in her breed. She only has one symptom and the Vet did not seem to think anything had to be done right away. He has her on some anti-inflammatory stuff and to be seen again in 6 weeks. My poor baby, she was so scared. She is beat now-lying on the floor.
io am making pumpkin pie and bbq pulled prk in the crockpot. I just had the spine reps that call on DH over here. We all sat on the front steps and had beer while DH was working. I used tp work for their compettion so they ise me to get business from DH but we are actually all friends. They are the people we went to Oktoberfrst with Saturday... I think RIley will be ok! I might fly to CA tomorrow with a girlfriend so she can interview at Stanford!!!!
Weird day today!

Alana, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. It brought back some bad memories. It can be so frightening all that blood loss. Rest up and don't even think about work for now.

Alana - Oh hun! I'm glad you posted too. We were all thinking of you. I'm so sorry you had to go through all the pain and emotions of this. I truly hope the doctors are able to tell you something in the near future. I just flunked my iron test as well so I'm on the supplements. My OB said just to pick any of the over the counter ones. Oh, and between an epidural and a c-section, I don't think I'll have any horror birthing stories to tell little Aiden. Not that I'm ever going to complain about that. Just take it easy and don't worry about work over there.

Devan - I'm with you in being hot at night. I'm always freezing out DH too. Got to be cold to sleep at night! I hope the hot flashes disappate soon. I know I've been ending my hot showers with a blast of cold water to keep the body temp down.

Susan - I'm glad you got a full report on Riley. I hope she is feeling better soon and the lupus stays calm. BTW, that is my niece's name too and it always makes me chuckle since my Mom swears it's a dog's name I always told myself that I would have a glass of wine a month starting in my 7th month of pregnancy so I'm almost there. That is as long as Aiden stays well behaved in there. Oh, and your 2.5 hour facial sounds blissful!

Shawna - Another hawaii honeymooner! The Hilton is a gorgeous hotel on the big island. We had dinner there several nights and actually stayed there when I visited Hawaii as a kid. This time we stayed at the Fairmont Orchid. I can't wait to go back one day! I loved every minute of it and was so relaxed.

Martie - I'm praying for the big number tomorrow too!

Grits - Happy Birthday!! Can't wait to see your number tomorrow too.

Jen - I like the sound of those right twinges...

So, I have a funny story for all of your girls. Remember how I desperately wanted sweets last night? Well, that is completely unlike me. I never want any sweets (other than plain ice cream). DH did come through but he didn't get home till late for a Monday so I ate an entire slice of carrot cake at almost midnight. Wasn't a good idea.... I woke up at 2:30am and literally ran out of bed to avoid puking in bed. YUCK! I hadn't had a single day of morning sickness this whole time. Guess it'll be a while before I'll look at sweets the same but my waistline will appreciate it
