Marissa- Just like in TTC you have to believe in yourself! I knew you could do it!! Now having a tooth surgically removed that is fused to your jaw bone requires some sort of loopy medicine I assure you! lol. Still not a complete negative. had cramping earlier today!! YAY!
Tia- I'm so envious of y'alls lunch together! Glad you had a good one!!!

Hi girls- Nothing much happening here except ever since we got a landline I have been receiving pre-recorded telemarketing calls. There is no way to stop them. My number is private and it is pissing me off!
Josee and Tia- SOunds like you had a good lunch! Marissa- I knew you could do it too ![]() Anxiety is a tough thing to control, it took me years of training on myself and learning about it in school. Try to visualize happy thoughts and comfortable places when you have an attack or an anxious feeling. It sounds silly but if you really stop yourself and picture you holding your little baby or imagine a fun time with family at a vacation place, it stops that anxiety, if even for a few moments. ![]() I am off to finish the sterilizing. This is a lot of work. TMI- More diarrhea. I think Mother Nature is giving me her enema to prepare me for an arrival soon!

Did I miss our one year thread anniversary?!! Crap, I got side-tracked last night picking DH up from work and walking the doggies etc I didn't check back on. I have no energy these days (I have extremely low iron according to the OB which is causing it) so I was in bed early again.
Anyway, so Susan, Phoebe might be here soon? Thats exciting, I can't wait to see pics of your little cutie. Although, I wouldn't be surprised either if shes just teasing you and she makes you hang on a few more weeks. Is your OB going to induce you at some point though because of the pre-eclampsia? Also, in the US you are very lucky as you have a Do Not Call service that you can add your name and number to for free and its illegal for any marketing company to phone you after that. I would join it if I were you. We don't have one in Canada yet (trust me, I check constantly) but we will at the end of the year and I'm joining as soon as it starts up. I get telemarketing calls all the time.Jen, Walnifer is such a cutie, I love his/her little hands up by the face. Oh, and my OB won't induce just for the RPL issue, he wants Reed out earlier because of all the heart issues. I think they want him checked over by a paediatrician as soon as possible and they obviously need him to be born to do that! I just hope the birth process isn't too stressful for his little ticker. The OB thought, since it seems to be an intermittant arrythmia and taccychardia (sp?) it shouldn't be an issue but I can't help but worry. I guess we'll see how things go the next few u/s and appointments. Either way, Reed probably won't be going past 38 weeks unless hes measuring small. Devan, I'm with the other girls, your OB is not seeing you often enough. I'm 4 weeks behind you and they are already seeing me every 2 weeks. I mean, when you say your bumble bee measured at 32 weeks was that done by u/s or by measuring your belly? If it was just from measuring you surely they can't get an accurate reading that way...so you need these people to get their act together and sort their crap out. Sorry for ranting hun but my previous OB was just like this and it left me so mad that she always dismissed me with everything. She even dismissed the heart issues until I demanded to see a specialist who then said yes there was a problem and I should be seeing someone regularly. In fact, do you want me to call these idiots for you??? I don't mind doing it, it will be a pleasure to yell at them down the phone. Oh, and having blonde highlights myself and coming from a country where I swam all the time, yep, the blue is pretty common. Just buy that purple/silver shampoo stuff that all the old ladies use to take the blue out of their hair rinses. It works a treat. Tia and Josee, what did you girls have for lunch? Did you take any pictures this time? I wanna meet someone for lunch too!!! Crap, I can't carry on the personals as I have to go sort out the annoying electrician in my basement. But I'm so grateful like all the other girls to have met you on this thread, we have the best thread on the forum...and I LOVE you all! ![]()

Childbirth Guide: Losing Mucus plug
Okay, just googled it and it doesn't necessarily mean you are in labour yet.

I just googled it and it says unless you are before 36 weeks it is not urgent. It may be weeks before anything happens. My OB still has not called. Apparently he does not think it is urgent.
I am having some cramping but nothing too bad. My back hurts though. But it's my upper back. Phoebe is jumping around like crazy.

Could you go to L&D triage? I was told that any strange fluid leakage thats what I should do. Is there someone you can call to take you there just in case? Its always better to be safe, you are on close monitoring after all.

They paged my OB almost 45 mins ago and he still has not called back. I am assuming that's b/c he still has patients in his office.
I will give him 15 more mins and then I am calling again. I am almost full term so hopefully it will be ok.

Shawna, I've got a total addiction to cheese strings, don't ask me why, they are yummy!!
Susan, you are nearly 37 weeks, Phoebe will be more than fine if she does come now. Are you having any other symptoms though?

Susan - unfortunately, I've heard you can lose your mucus plug and still walk around for weeks. I had one friend lose hers and give birth about 72 hours later. Honestly, most of my friends never really lost theirs and my OB said she didn't either. So I think it can go both ways. But, I know once you hit 37 weeks they no longer would do anything to stop labor, so I am sure you are safe! You are only a couple of days shy of when I was induced. Definitely put your name on the do not call list. Will make a huge difference.
Tia & Josee - Wish I could have been there today! Shawna - Fingers crossed everywhere! Marissa - Glad you survived the root canal. I would have been a nervous wreck too! Kelly - The vicoden was supposed to help me sleep at night so the pain wouldn't wake me up but I think I'm going to try sleeping without it tonight. I'm on 2400mg of ibuprofen daily which is stomach irritating so the constipation of the vicoden almost balances it out! I just picked Aiden up from daycare and he is in total hyper mode. Jumping around like a crazy person in the exercauser and I caught him pulling himself from sitting in his chair to standing. I videotaped it so if I have any free time then I'll try to figure out the utube thing and post a link. Maybe on Sunday when dh is off. Anyone done it before? I want to get him walking around in his walker too! I'm a little irritated at my hairdresser. I asked for my hair to be significantly shorter with it at least partially off of my neck in the back b/c the heat and this thick hair is killing me. Well, he did angle it in the back but it's still totally on my neck and barely took any length off the front. After I was there for TWO hours for a haircut, I told him I had to go. I made him interrupt the girl he was working on b/c I couldn't see since my bangs were still too long and he still had me sitting under a dryer and I was sweating to death. I told him I needed my bangs shorter, he annoyed said he wasn't done with my hair and still wanted to do something on the sides, and I told him I just don't have time for a 2 hour haircut with a baby now and I had to pick the baby up. I asked him for suggestions of a better time to come next time where it won't take as long and he won't be as busy (working on 4 clients at once) and he said that didn't exist. Hmp! I've had many a haircut over the years and stylists just don't take that long but I hate the frustration of finding someone new too. What to do... |

Rach- That is annoying with your hair dresser!!! Sorry to hear that.
I am letting my hair grow until we have our first child. I don't know why I decided this but last cut I decided I am not cutting it until our first is born. So I could have hair down to my ankles when I'm 80 or something! :-P lol. DH doesn't like the idea but I don't care! The only thing I will cut is my bangs...gotta be able to see right?! ![]()
