Here's my dilema of the night b/c I know I feel better if I write it out. And, yes, I know I am being childish.

Mom is up at the farm babysitting the farm dog while my dad is in Florida babysitting Grandpa. My mom has invited all the kids up tomorrow to spend the day. My nice db and sil are going and I love them. But, the super annoying anorexic SIL and db are going too and bringing another super annoying b*tchy nyc friend of theirs. Here's the kicker. Annoying SIL just assumes her child gets to use everything at the farm. Yes, I am being childish but this happens all the time and I'm annoyed. She just assumes her child gets to use the crib, the high chair, and the monitor. So, if I want to go, not only am I on my own since dh is working but I would have to pack up a pack n play, my monitor, and my highchair. I know I should just get over it and go. The other thing is they literally just stick their child in the crib whether she is tired or not at her assigned nap time of 1pm. Which means she screams and yells and seems to always wake up Aiden from his nap and they are not at all apologetic. I know it would be nice to see everyone but I already know I will come home annoyed...

Happy Anniversary Shelly!! What a wonderful way to celebrate!

Forgot to say, Marissa you and I have had the same hair dramas. My haircut never ends up how I want and then I change stylist and it just is cyclical. I had the best stylist in Philly but haven't lived there in 3 years! Even I know what you mean by the angled bob.

Susan - It does take a bit to track down the firemen. Maybe just wander there in your pregnant state and see if someone takes sympathy on you.

Shawna - I wonder how long your hair will get too in 9 months. Plus, your hair grows faster when you're pregnant. Can't wait for next week's hpts!

Susan - I see you down there. How long does it stay warm up there? I'm dying to girl shop over here

Someone asked what size Aiden is now. Can't remember who in my hair drama daze. He is 9-12 months in most stuff. He's skinny but so long! It's so hot down here right now that I have all these cute shorts for him and he hasn't worn any of them since Chicago. All I can put him in is a onesie these days! But, I did buy him these adorable linen pants extra big for when it cools off one day

I love babies hanging out in onesies in the summer time. The best is when the extra chubby babies are just in their diapers with their rolls haning out. When your a baby is the only time that your rolls are considered a good thing .

My niece is a chubby baby she was 10 weeks on the fourth of July and she is up to 14 pounds already . She is very long too. The funny thing is my BIL is short maybe 5' 6" and my SIL is a tiny petite asian woman who is maybe 5'2''. My Sil was joking that she is going to be really tall with short 5 foot parents.

Susan- I dont think you are going to last much longer. Are docs talking induction at 37 weeks.

Rachel- I feel your pain about the Sil situation. My Sil (Dh's sister) always feels entitled to everything. Do what you think is best for you and the little man.

Very cute Marissa! I need to take more pictures of Aiden just in a diaper while it lasts. Let's see, he is 27 weeks and 15.75lbs so your niece definitely has him beat! But, he does have the cute chubby thighs that he must have gotten from me

I'm totally avoiding making a decision about tomorrow and am internet shopping and texting with my gay boyfriend....

Rachael-you are a saint if you go and put up with that! I don't have any dbs, but if I did, I don't think I could put up with the SILs acting like that. But that is probably because I am an only child

Alana-those NO CALL lists don't apply to non-profits, so they can call you whenever, and do! We opted out of it because DH didn't want to give all that personal info over the internet.

Marissa-glad the root canal went well.

I am still waiting to get my hair cut because I haven't found a stylist I like here. It is getting out of control long, and very dry in this dry climate. I am a ponytail kind of girl. But I can not style my own hair.

Josee-how do you play I never?

Hi Shelly! How is it being a new mom?

Did I mention that I finished my book, Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper, last night? I cried for a very long time at the end...

Kelly-sorry you had to go back up on your predisone. I hope you feel better soon. Vicodan, percocet and the darvocet, all those narcotics, constipate me and keep me up itching all night. I only take under dire circumstances (like after the ectopic). I worry that some of these could be contributing to your flare up.

Alana and Devan-what do you still need for the babies?

Amy-have fun shopping! And take pics of you in a bikini in Vegas so I can be jealous

Tia-glad you and Josee had a good lunch. How is your m/s?

Shawna-okay, so trigger is out and now we will be testing for the real deal? I'll let you know if my hair grows down to the floor...I already have it pretty darn long!

April-don't fly to Chicago, fly to Denver!

Rachael, that really sucks about your selfish SIL. That does make a lot of extra work for you. Is everyone aware of her approach? Or are you the only one that notices? I hope her children make better cousins for Aiden than she makes a SIL. It would be a shame to let her crowd you out. Then you can't be a good auntie.

My bottle of wine isn't that good. :-( I grabbed the wrong one. Stupid drunk me. Well I wasn;t at the time but I am buzzin' now!

The I never game? Wow, we would have SO MUCH FUN playing this together.

The Rules
  1. Gather your friends in a circle. Have everyone bring a beer or libation of his choice along with them.
  2. Start with the person who suggested the game. It does give the person an advantage, but they took the risk to throw out the idea to play and be forever mocked.
  3. State a truism in the following manner. "I never [fill in the blank]." "I never kissed a frog," would be an example.
  4. Drink if you HAVE done the suggested action. In the example, everyone in the circle who had kissed a girl in school would have to drink his libation.
  5. Move around the circle playing continuously until you are either drunk, repulsed or really anxious to play another gamne.

Josee - I haven't played I never since probably middle school. Oh, I guess I just admitted drinking at an early age You're right, I shouldn't let SIL crowd me out. I'm sure I'll cave by the morning... just haven't packed the car yet. And, yes, everyone else in the family realizes they are a pain in the as*. It was really bad on the family vacation when I can hear their child screaming on Aiden's monitor! I'm about 1/2 way through my bottle of rose so I guess I'll save the rest for tomorrow. Wish you were here!

Nite, nite...

shelly so glad things have gone well and you and dh are happy but you sound like your leaving?

I have a question. I am pregnant again and I am excited, but scared. did anyone else have trouble bonding w/ pregnancy after m/c. It feels like this could just end any second again and i don't want to get excited b/c of it.

same way about the hair need a relaxer bad, but hurt my back so can't stand to do myself and can't sit in a washing chair to have it done...ugh!

jen how long is ur hair?

I can't remember my ex husband's phone number.
Oh well, guess I am walking to the fire station across the street to see if any of the dudes can help me.

Rach- It stays warm here until the end of August, sometimes we have cooler days toward the end and sometimes the summer extends into September. We have crazy weather! I just love September though!
