Heidi- Swimming tomorrow sounds lke a blast. Don't worry not discouraged. If it doesn't work out this time, we have three more chances and another IVF in the future too.
As far as other forms of progesterone...my clinic only believes in suppositories as they get to twhere they need to go the best I guess...speaking of which, I'm off to do my last ones of the day! ![]()

Heidi- My RE seemed to think that the vaginal form of prog was not as effective b.c they are unable to determine how much is actually being absorbed b.c it leaks out all day. They give you a dose but can't actually that does was absorbed. The PIO- you get what you draw up and inject (minus a little leakage out of the puncture). I opted for the PIO this time for the first time ever b.c I was nervous.
I actually thought the supp and gel were a nuisance. I wish I was going swimming. Heidi- do you have central air? Did you get that storm last night? I need central air! Has anyone ever used or have one of those portable air conditioners? We have new windows and our a/c units can fit in them now...

Susan, we don't have central air, but we have units fixed into our walls that do a good job. They look disgusting and they're noisey as hell because they're old but they do cool things down well. They're probably a health hazard but I try not to think about it because then I'd have to do something about it.
We did get that storm. Heavy.

Amy and Susan, what a scare to fall! Accidents happen and that is why they have all fluid to protect your little girlie girls.
Amy, did the doctor get back to you? Is MIL being nice to you? Kris, Simon in the sink is so gosh darn cute! My favorite picture is Simon sleeping. DH and I were cooing over him when DH said Simon was flashing gang symbols in picture number 4. He looks so much like his mommy. Susan, i have no idea how you've done bedrest for a week without TV so far. Hi Marissa and Shawna!!! HI martie, what is hannah up to? Hi Tia, how is poohbear treating you tonight.

Heidi, a lot of RE recommend Endometrin inserts instead of PIO. CC.RM does... I think a lot of clinic are going towards inserts. I asked to do PIO with the inserts since I had a weird progesterone drop my first cycle.

Heidi- I know you hate it but yay for starting BCPs!!!!
OK, I confess Josee- I still did not watch TV. I can;t get excited about anything on TV. I guess we are just against it. We read a lot and hang out with the dogs on our laptops together in the LR when DH is home. Just talking about news and stuff. I guess we are dorks. I took an afternoon nap today which I NEVER DO, on the couch that DH sleeps on. It is so comfy, more comfy than the bed. I am bored, so I am burning my ipod playlist to two seperate CDs to take to the LDR so I don't have to have an ipod in my ear the whole time. Ok, where's AMy? Does anyone have her cell to text her and see if she is ok?

Devan- I want you to print this out and show it to your OB. They should be monitoring you weekly not every three weeks! Tell them they are nuts. Also they should do a NST and an U/S to check growth.
I am furious wuth these people! I just want you and baby to be ok! Preeclampsia Treatment and Monitoring heidi- i have an industrial sized AC unit downstairs and it is so noisey but it does the job like you say. The one in my bedroom is ever worse and I am sure if I looked at the filter I would diagnose myself with black mold poisoning...

Heidi- Try reading this. It may shed some light for you. Maybe the Crinone gel could be an option. I was allergic to it, but it was way less messy than the supp.
Types of Progesterone | Suppositories | Provera | Prometrium | Crinone | Injectible

Shawna, the day before my ectopic ruptured, my RE could not see it in my tube. Tubals are sometimes hard to see, and yours would have been pretty high up.
Susan-I am young. In fact, I am 367 days younger than you ('72 was a leap year so I get an extra day!).Heidi-I think the endometrium (suppositories) are just as good, if not better, than PIO due to them going directly to the right spot. I think I might go swimming tomorrow if I can find a bathing suit that will fit.

Okay I just texted Amy, I'll let you know if she responds. I happened to call her earlier before I was online and I think she may be busy this evening? Hope she is doing good, I'm sure she is though.
So I went all over town looking for that swimmers shampoo and I've not found it anywhere. Tomorrow I guess I'll try Sallys beauty supply shop. I'm actually not too too worried about it, it is really lite and my hair is up for work everyday any way. I think it may just wash out on it's own. I also tried to buy a swim cap and they were almost $20 so I passed, I'll shop around. Tonight it is just Frasier and I with a baby pizza and a movie. I rented Stop Loss and Definently (sp) Maybe. I'll let you know tomorrow how they were. I think someone mentioned Stoploss on here already, right? Hmm .. I can't remember. Heidi your Stella is a doll. I could just eat her up. I'm not sure the difference in PIO or supps but my RE said the same thing that Susan's said about wanting to get as much absorbed as possible so PIO was the only option with him. Martie dang, 2 months has already passed. We need new pics please. Kris your Simon is a looker. Even sleeping he is the cutest thing on the streets. And yes I think he is flashes a baby gand sign of some sorts-lol. I'm in love with the sink picture too, that belongs in a frame. Thanks for sharing, you look amazing too. Susan I'll call you next time I'm going to do my BP so that you can help me out. Also, I'm so glad you are okay after your fall. Shawna I had a 3dt and didn't get a faint faint positive until 10dt did I mention how faint it was! I'd still give it awhile. Your drive in date sounds nice. Amy I do miss Derrick but it isn't a bad as I thought it would be. We are half way through his time away and I haven't started to "miss" him yet. Of course I miss him, but not in the needing I'm going to get super sad way. Does that make sense? I think I'll start messing around in the babies room next week. Maybe start setting up my "makeshift" temp nursery before our big move. Plus it keeps me busy. Jen your bump is too cute. Dang your hair is long. I get to a point where I just get tired of a ponytail all day long and then I cut it. After I move to GA I'll be up for that (when my face isn't as chunky). Tia can't wait to see your bump and your PIO countdown sounds amazing, congrads! Well I think my pizza is almost done and my date is keeping my spot on the sofa warm. I'll chat with you gals in the am. Have a good night.

Heidi - Stella is the cutest with her comments! I know my clinic started you on PIO and then if your numbers were high would switch you to the suppositories at week 6.
Susan - We have one of those portable ac units that are freestanding and it actually works really well. Aiden is on a whole separate side of the house from everything else. So, itsead of trying to cool that whole side of the house, we keep it at 72 and just got an extra unit for Aiden's room. You feeling ok after the fall? Devan - I love your pics! Your are a great pregnant woman. I would just keep checking your bp 3 times a day and report anything unusual. That being said, my pressure never spiked that much but my protein in the pee jug did. Try to take it easy at least. Love the tat! Jen - I think you need a convertible. Tell Walt. It will dry your hair faster! I used to just put the top down every morning. Josee - I love you. You said the perfect thing to your dad and I am still smiling about buying a crib on craigs list to paint Aiden on. Unfortunately, parents just don't think sometimes. My Mom is already harping on me about #2 even though they had to help us pay off baby #1. I understand where you are coming from. Maybe you and Dad can plan one Sunday a month for some extra bonding time. Speaking of which, how's the golf coming for the big vacay? Amy - Be careful over there! I took a really bad fall right around 32 weeks too. Tore up my elbow and my knee. Everything was fine with Aiden though. They have so much cushioning in there! You and Chris look wonderful. Kris - Simon is such a prince!! I love all the pictures. He is so cute. Are things settling down with his sleeping and eating a little? I survived my day at the family farm and even my Mom called tonight to say she is buying a second portable crib for when we are all together. I realized about half way through the day that there is nothing I like about my SIL. Weird but true. One of those people that if you met in different circumstances you would never be friends with. So, why am I expected to be buddy buddy just b/c she married my brother? My brother was totally different before they became involved too so I'm sure I blame her for some of that too. I wound up not having to unpack my highchair b/c the babies ate at different times but the napping was drama. I have no idea why but Aiden hates the pack n play. He never cries and was screaming his head off. I had to go back in to try to calm him down and he finally did nap but for shorter than usual. After that drama, I just made sure we were back home in time for the next nap. SIL acted all dumb and said if she had know than we could have figured something out. Uh, she knows. We've talked about this many times and she knows the drama I went through to get Aiden a crib in Chicago. Nothing inside that little head of hers. I'm not even sure how to explain my SIL. She thinks she is the sweetest person. Maybe she is just dumb. I can't ever quite decide. But, she just sees Aiden as a "baby" and thinks he can be shafted when it comes to needing things and then tells me what an easy baby I have. So annoying. Here is the other psycho thing she did today. It was 93 degrees and she goes nuts b/c she says she ate too many Sunchips at lunch. She literally made us take the bag off the table b/c she had eaten maybe 10. Oh, and she is 5 months pregnant with no bump!! Well, then she decides she has to go walking b/c she ate too much. Even my brother wouldn't go in the heat. She convinces her friend to tag along. When they got back, they were so hot that her friend had to get in a cold shower to cool off. It was ridiculous. Pure heatstroke. This is after she tried 3 years to have the first child and had to do ivf. You would think she would be so grateful for this natural pregnancy that she would eats good food and rest up. But no. It's really sad and drives me and my mom nuts. Their first daughter isn't the brightest and if she refuses to eat during this pregnancy too than there isn't that much hope for the next either. It's really sick. And this is me calmer since it happened hours ago! OK. Sorry to type and run but I've been doing some work tonight and I'm wiped. See everyone tomorrow! |
