I am so pissed. So this morning DH was trying to get the hb on that stupid monitor but we couldn't. We did see the numbers a few times, but my hb would always come back in the way. I tried to tell him that it is still early for this and we were lucky the first time, and that I didn't have a full bladder and I have some extra padding, but he just went off and sulked. I so hate that. It is so freakin' immature. So I tried to talk him down, but nothing doing. So I told him that we could go to the urgent care center literally down the block and ask if we could get a nurse to show us how to do it (assuming that they weren't busy). He didn't like that idea. I told him I didn't care, if it would make him feel better then I would do whatever it takes.

Well, we were going to do errands (no food in the house AND I haven't eaten today) and he says, well I guess I will take you on your little trip to the med center. I was like, screw you. I am doing this for you. I know the baby is fine. I know that you freakin' suck at holding a doppler, but hell, so do I. Anyway, we get out of the car and he starts with more little stupid comments, so I said, do you want to go here? He said, no. So I said fine and started to walk home. He said, I'll give you a lift. Then I said, I can get myself home, screw you, or something like that. Anyway, instead of coming back to calm me down, he just left.

I understand that he is not carrying the baby and he can't know what I know in my heart, that the baby is fine. But his constant worry about everything is driving me mad. I can't relax. I can't sleep. I have to listen to crap from him like, oh, I should drink more to relax me. Well WTF can I do to relax me? I am sick of listening to him b*tch. Sure, I realize that I am way hormonal right now (another good sign of this pregnancy). But he should have come back and apologized for making me nuts.

I feel like throwing something.

Susan, I didn't realise you had the same problemo at one time. I remember Shawna saying it before. It was totally a control thing for me too. I felt such a lack of control about how I was being raised and it was the only thing I could have any input on. It's hard for family members too. My sister had a weight problem (very overweight and sad about it) and I know it angered her to see me not eating sometimes for a couple of days. She didn't know how to handle it, so she was just mean. Now we're best of buddies, but I would still never admit to having had a problem to her. Funny.

Rach, aside from the eating disorder thing, I know that it is very hard to try and get along with people you have nothing in common. I would comment further, but it would have to be on FB. In fact, I do have something to add later.

Brenna- Great to see you!!!! (I am so out of it lately I keep forgetting to say thigns to people so please forgive me.)

Josee- I'll PIAC again in the morning. I have a tendency to think it's still trigger but today is day 11 since trigger and usually I metabolize trigger pretty quick. So no singing from the roof tops just yet.

Ohhhh Jen, sounds like Walt is freaking out over there and driving you nutso!!! You'll have to tell him to journal his concerns or you'll strangle him! I had a friend whose husband would comment on each thing she ate, was it good for the baby, should she do this, or that... she was like, "I am not a rented INCUBATOR, buzz off! I'm doing my best." Didn't help much. Of course, he wasn't really receptive after the baby was born on her 'suggestions' for parenting. LOL.

susan and heidi, i'm so glad you both overcame such a powerful disease. i've known people with anorexia and know it can be a lifetime struggle, so i admire you both.

jen- wow, your hubby is acting like he's the one who is pregnant and horomonal! i'm sorry chica.

hey josee, i don't have to go back to work until sept 1'st. i know that's a month off still -but it seems to be coming way too fast! i am going to be devastated to take simon to daycare the first day. i haven't read back on the 100 or so pages i missed while out of town, so i don't know what's going on with you - what is your next step?

Jen - that sounds very stressful. I would be so mad also.

jen ... walt needs to rest assure that waltifer is just perfect

i too get nervous sometimes .... but as long as i have at least one symptom a day (m/s, constant yawning, sore boobs, biotchy) ... i am just fine ... i am actually scared of getting the baby doppler ... don't know why but i am!

heidi ... thanks for opening up to us ... i am so glad that you have overcome that ... my mom still has issues with her weight ... she is maybe a size 4 and one time when went to her house and there was a picture of a model in a bathing suit on her refridge and john said wow that lady is so pretty ... who is that? ... i had to laugh ... he didn't understand once i explained it to him that seeing that picture would make her not want to eat as much

a week later ... i took my skinny jeans and put them on the refridge as a joke

Kris, how did you choose a daycare? That seems like it would be really hard to do. I was calculating and does 13,000 a year at a daycare in a large city sound right?

My next step is to cycle at C.CRM late August/early September. Yes, a year later, I am part of the Sept ET group again. I am really hoping this is my time.

How much does it cost to raise a child for the first year? All the set up costs with cribs and whatnot adds up fast! (So I hear...)

I am trying to calculate how much it will cost. Things around me seem to cost more than the national average.

real estate taxes- $13,000
mortgage- $11,140
average expenses- $59,000
First year kid- $26,000
new family car- $35,000
IRAs- $8,000

Does 150,000 does REASONABLE to you?

And yes, lots of people around me pay that much in property taxes. Thank goodness for a small mortgage.

Please weigh in. I am trying to figure out how much house I can afford. I calculated this and when I put in the cost of me staying at home, I almost passed out.

Please someone share how you do this?

thanks girls I know that I am hormonal and right now I want to throw DH! He is getting ridiculous. He has been complaining about HIS constipation, HIS sore chest muscles, HIS nausea. I seriously think he thinks he is carrying this baby! While it is sweet that he is having sympathy symptoms, I am going to knock him out one of these days.

I have a hard time understanding anorexia because I really love food too much. But I can sympathize. I do understand the need to feel control though. And that all of you who went through it came out on the other side and realize that your baby can not survive that illness. I hope that Rach's SIL can come to terms with her illness in order to protect her baby. It just makes me sad.

Seriously, this finance thing is INSANE! Look at these stats. Cost of Raising Kids Table: Family & College - MSN Money

Do any of you girls think you'll spend NO MORE than 570 a year of clothing for your baby? And no more than 2090 for day care. Even with those low numbers they are estimating 13K per year. So with the real numbers... it would be twice that!

josee, i think it is symbolic that you'll be part of the sept group again- this time it is YOUR turn. long overdue, but it is here.

simon's daycare is $1200/month ... it's a lot of money when you annualize it isn't it ... $14,400. eek. i chose it through recommendations from people who'd taken their kids there, and it is very close to my office - i'll be able to walk over a couple times during the day and breastfeed. that was really important to me because i know i'm going to miss him like crazy. anyway, you are right - raising a child is expensive!
