Lol...it sounds quite kinky actually!

Amy, I ended up iron deficient (still am unfortunately) and the symptoms for me especially were headaches, breathlessness like I'd just run a marathon only I was sitting down, pale complexion and I had dark rings under my eyes even when I slept alot. The ice thing I don't recall but I do seem to want to put lots of ice in my cold drinks so maybe I do have that. My OB said to take a 300mg iron supplement a day on top of the prenatals so I would definately recommend doing that. Your baby needs lots of iron, and my lack of it is likely one of the reasons Reed is measuring small.

Goodnight Liza.

I'm tired too so I'm off to put myself to sleep by watching a silly thriller 'The Last Winter' on the laptop in bed. I'm like Amy at the moment, if saw the Michael Vick story I'd go off the deep end. I just hope many people do watch it and don't let something like that happen again. Its just so neanderthal and cruel, I hope that Vick guy gets beaten up and tortured by someone bigger than him oneday. Night night.

Amy..I just looked up iron-deficiency anemia in my nursing book and it does list pica (craving ice or other unusual things) as a symptom. So definately mention it when you go see your ob.

ok, good night girls!

Amy- I am so sorry about the cig thing. I would be upset about the hiding as well.

As far as the pica/iron deficiency- I had it too. Not to sound weird but have you ever had the slightest craving for something weird like your dog's treats or food (they smelled really good to me one day and I almost ate one)
. I later found out that was a symptom of pica and related to iron defic. Get a head start on the iron b/c I lost so much blood during my c section that I am having to take iron and maybe injections or a transfusion now.
I snarfed down ice cream every night and needed cold things constantly. Also the fatigueis/was unbearable.

Nite nite girls.

geez people, how am I supposed to keep up? I went to dinner after work (well, left work early, came home for an hour nap, then went to see some friends for dinner). I am beat, but have a few things to say.

Kelly-you are pregnant!!! You are early so your number is low. In the beginning your number can really step it up, so while it sucks waiting that extra day, it might help in seeing numbers where they should be. And I bet if you waited just one day for your beta it would have been much higher.

Amy- IMO, what Dh did was not acceptable. Hiding smoking is really big, especially now that you have a baby on her way! You need to find out why he is doing this. I am a big anti-smoking, especially around children person. My parents smoked when I was growing up and I have bad asthma/allergies from it. I can't even be near a cig w/o choking. I hope you 2 can resolve this fast.

Tia-sleep? what is that? and I could probably top your peeing schedule!

April-I love the idea of dueling boobies. The more milk, the merrier!

I have been really really thirsty lately. What is up w/ that? Is that a sign of diabetes? Ugh!

I'll catch up with the rest of you tomorrow. I am beat. Back is still smarting.

Oh, so most of the time I am sharing my boppy pillow with Sam, my youngest cat who insists on sleeping on my head. Well, last night on one of my numerous trips to pee, I came back and Dh was curled up with my boppy, snuggling it so tight that there was no room for me! Can he please get over these pg sympathy symptoms???

Amy, when my mom was pregnant with my sister, she developed a craving for ice. I mean she had to have a huge cup of ice with her at all times. This was before the handy crushed ice dispensers in the door so she was like a mad lady with the ice-pick. After she had my sister, it did not go away. I had heard about the ice/iron thing and mentioned it to her. They ran her numbers and put her on iron supplements. Still, when I went home, the cup of ice was still there (the ice chomping was drivings me nutty) When she went back to her doctor, they found out her levels were so low, they threatened her with a blood transfusion. That's when she got serious about taking her Rx iron supplements, her numbers returned to normal and I am happy to report the ice cup and ice-pick (thank God) are all put away.

Okay, so that was a long story...mainly to say..yes, it is true, so have your numbers checked.

Amy - they should be checking your iron periodically so definitely mention it to your ob. Sounds like you are due some steaks!

Jess - My sil is from Summit, NJ which sounds close to you too. I was dating her brother for 4 years so spent many a weekend in Springfield & Summit and my db's wedding was there. We all stayed at the hilton (i think) across from the mall. Small world! I am jealous over the massage talk. What a relaxing way to spend an hour.

Kelly - How ya doing this morning sweets?

Alana - You are in the 24 hour countdown just about. WOW!! Is there anything we can do for you?

April - Good luck with the interviews. You will do terrific. What happened with the phone interview. I remember I think they were just interviewing for the er or icu?

Ronni - Have a great vacation tomorrow!! May all these storms stay far far away!

Well, when I had my mental breakdown on Monday, dh gave me this whole speech about taking time to myself since he was off for two weeks and how he would take the monitor and wake up with Aiden every morning. I knew that was a dream! He made it 4 days and then looked at me last night and said "wanna take the monitor tonight?" I did make him acknoledge that it's not easy and I do it at least 5 nights every week! But, Aiden slept throught the night so made we are recovering a bet. Runny nose is back this morning though so that makes me nervous. A guy at my office yesterday was telling me his son is on his third different antibiotic for the same ear infection and he is a few months older than Aiden. Yuck.

Won't be around much today but I'll be back on tonight.

Good morning all!

Kelly - I'm glad you're doing okay and keeping busy is the best thing. Hope Maisy enjoys the soccer game. I used to love going to my little bro's games - a very autumn thing to do. Isn't it raining there?

Tia - is your swimming class inside or out? I adore swimming. It's the best thing in the world.

Jen - missed you last night! how dare you go out to dinner. walt needs to have a baby shower for himself so he can get his OWN boppy! i agree with you about the smoking around kids thing, as i'm sure everyone does. my grandparents, whom we were always around as kids, smoked like fiends and maybe that's why i've always had sinus and lung congestion problems (well, it could be the fact that i smoked for 10 years off and on, too). there's a lady 2 doors down from us who smoked during her pregnancy and smokes around her little boy now. i want to have her arrested.

rach - i hope aiden's nose isn't indicitive of the ear infection not going away. poor lil guy. our best friends' son is named Aiden and we are going to his dedication at church tomorrow. I live one town over from Springfield, NJ! Summit is a nice town. It is the Hilton you stayed at; it's across from the Short Hills Mall, which is now so expensive I can't afford to even walk in the place! Very chi chi. I grew up in Madison, which is about 10 min, from there, and we used to hang out at that mall in high school, but it was not as frou frou back then!

It is very dreary with heavy rain predicted, so I plan on lazing around all day - heavenly! DH got up at 7:30 to do his homework (he's getting his associates in sport management then going on to a program to be a gym teacher!) and I slept. He's a good boy; i'm lazy!

Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Peachy..sorry to hear about Aiden. When Mandy was lil she had a constant ear infection and the dr finally figured out she had extra fluid in her ear, have they checked Aiden for this too?

Alana...wow in 24 hours you will see the person you loved before you even knew. My hubby made me a video after Tristan was born (in my siggy) and the song playing is "I knew I loved you before I met you" and I don't know what the writers meant when they wrote it but personally I know that song pretains to pregnancy and then meeting that person. As for Tristan's sleep schedule...he pretty much did it on his own. We did have a few CIO sessions to teach his self sooth and it stuck.

Tia...swimming sounds like such great exercise. Enjoy!!

Kelly....you are due for a miracle so believe this is your time!! But I am still praying for you.

Amy....low iron/anemia (sp?) is very common in pregnancy. I had low iron with Tristan but because of the terbutaline pump I could not take iron & I was tired/run down all the time. Please go get checked, pretty please.

Jen...when is your glucose test?? Drinking alot of water while pregnanct help w/ pre-term contractions so it's a good thing. Do you crave OJ too? I heard that is a sign too.

Hello April. That is some second (and first) beta. Have you guys googled it to see if it means twine/triplets?

My first night alone wasn't bad. Hubby called this morning to tell me how Tristan's night was. He's not a big fan of his pack n play so he didn't go to sleep right away. Then around 5 the dogs sniffed him and woke him up. His grandparents haven't seen him for a while and were surprised by how heavy he is (he's 30 lbs now). Maybe now seeing how fast they grow they will stop being a&&es and be in his life more.
