for AF arriving Jen. Thats very exciting, and now you can join me back on the proverbial horse as they say and go get yourself knocked up!

I on the other hand am not holding out too much hope for this IUI cycle. It seems that the D&C has really thinned my lining out and it doesn't seem to be showing any signs of thickening up anytime soon. I kinda expected something like this to happen, so I guess we'll find out from RE tomorrow if this cycle is a bust or not. Either way, its been good to be TTC again, the waiting (as we all know) is really quite hard.

Shawna, your engagement photo is great, you look really lovely with your hair down as JenMeredith (hehe) mentioned. You should put that photo up as your main profile pic. I think its called the avatar? avator? Something like that anyway. Meanwhile, it sounds like that witch will be joining you soon too...so will you be doing any more treatments like IUI or just continuing to take a break?

Shelly, your IVF consult is really soon. Thats very exciting. As for questions to ask...I honestly don't think you can ask enough of them. I personally would want to know what meds they will be using, how many eggs they were aiming to retrieve (some seem to aim for more than others), ummmm, will it be a 3 or 5 day transfer, how many embryos do they implant, do they do FET. Yikes...I guess I've actually learnt something from this forum. I have never done IVF but I seem to know what to ask! lol

Heidi, I love the name Stella also. Plus, I haven't had a kiwi fruit in years but I remember very clearly having them for breakfast when I was a kid. You would have them cut in half for you and then scoop out the fruit with the spoon. Yum! Also, let us know how your procedure goes. I'm sure everything will be fine in there, but I'm sending you tonnes of positive vibes just in case.

Rachael, I crazily actually do know an Aiden. In fact I remember when I met her thinking her name would be SOOOOO great if we had a boy. In fact, my DH gives me stick about the 'ayden' boy names that I like. I think they are....Aiden, Brayden, Caiden, Hayden, and Jayden. I really like Brayden but DH prefers names like Ethan or Damon. So I guess it won't be an 'ayden' after all. Girls are even tougher, it could go either way! A few possibilities could be Isabella, Addison or Ava. Dh really likes Morgan...what do you girls think of that name? Is it too masculine do you think?

lol...its kinda crazy to be thinking of names when I'm not even preggers yet, but I guess its my way of trying to stay positive about getting a BFP. Still....do you think I'm jinxing it or something?

Alana - One of my friend's neices is a Morgan and she is adorable. Full of spunk but always wears the cutest outfits. Now she's a teenager and the name fits just as well! I'm starting to think about middle names is the next challenge. Plus, most of my family is European and passed away during WWII. Well, now I'm trying to name the baby after someone and everyone's got different versions of what my great grandparents names were with the various translations!! We'll see. I keep teasing my living grandparents that I'm going to interview them separately to get the whole story.

Jen - for AF's arrival!! You are officially on the track to healing and getting on the horse trying... and a natural cycle sounds so tempting right now for those of us on pelvic rest!

Shelly - I think all of the questions Alana asked are a great place to start. Plus, don't be afraid to ask about all the various fees right up front. Oh, and I think an important one is once you start stims how often will you be monitored. I was monitored daily with b/w and u/s after day 4 of stims and this made it easy for the RE to change my dosage day to day.

Heidi - I love Stella!! What an adorable choice!!

Shawna - I'm with you thinking bb's is boobies... hope Miss AF comes to visit you next!

Alana, I am anticipating getting the same news about a thin lining today. My appt is 1PM. If I get that news, I think I'll tell my parents that I'll do the Hawaii trip because by then I may as well hold out to see them.

As for BB's. Mine are SBB's too Shawna and they don't really get sore before AF. They used to, but know they don't?? I'm not sure why.

Jen, glad she showed up on time?
These are for you:

this year I'll paint a stripe and call her a skunk! Halloween is her fav holiday and it's my birthday!!

Diva, I like Morgan for a girl. I like it better for a girl than a boy. My cousin has a boy Morgan. She may get called Morgie, but I think nicknames are cute. I liked all the other names too. Most of the girl ones you mentioned were on our list at one time or another!! After we had Stella my mother reminded me that when I was young)er) I used to say if I had a girl I'd call her Estella, so I guess I was close. DH loved it because he's a Marlon Brando fan, and liked A Streetcar named Desire.

I'm a nickname fan too. Probably because I never had one as theres not that much you can do with Alana. I'm glad you girls like Morgan also, as DH is very fond of it but I refuse to let him make the final decision! hehe. Actually, the reason that I like Isabella is because the nickname would be Bella, which I love which is why I like your little girls name Stella. They are just such pretty names, very 'princess-like' wouldn't you agree? And I LOVE the cute cat costumes. Mum Heidi you make an adorable feline too! Wow, I can't believe Halloween is now only around the corner. In fact, I find those things the hardest as I always calculate in my head how pregnant I would have been by then. Christmas will be the hardest as we all would only have had a few weeks until due date. I guess we'll just have to hurry up and get BFP's before then.

Also Heidi, I hope your lining is thicker than mine...however it might be nice to have the holiday too. By the time you got back it would be nice and thick again ready for your little bean to stick nice and strong. What did they do in there though do you think to make them so thin? Did they use a scoop or something??!! (ugh...bad imagery there!)

Oh...and put me down for the SBB's group too. I also had no idea BB meant boobies. I just thought I was being thick and it meant big/bountiful/bouncy? breasts or something. See? Blonde again! hehe

Good morning/afternoon Ladies!! (It's still morning for me!)

Nothing to report on AF front from me yet, but any day now I'm sure..I just have to finish up this progesterone. Uggg boo hiss!!

Jen- wahoo on AF. (Seems funny to be happy about it hey? But I definately do know how wonderful it can be to finally see her sometimes! LOL)

Alana- I'm hoping your lining fills out and you can go ahead with your IUI. You asked about treatments for us...none...zip...zero....zilch. I'm on metformin because of the border line PCOS and DH wants to take a break. He's in between jobs still and can't see TTC as a good thing at this moment. When my a friend told me she was pregnant the other night, it was all I could do to keep myself from TELLING him we are back on the roller coaster but I"m TRYING (LOL) to respect his wishes. I also understand where he is coming from. So we're sitting out for now, saving pennies for IVF I guess.
I have a friend with a daughter named Morgan...I think the only thing I can warn about the name is that a lot of people (at least in our neck of the woods) think that Morgan is a name for a horse. I like it though. Do you have an idea of a middle name? I think that makes or breaks the name. (For instance friend's DD is Morgan-August...doesn't flow too well but it could be worse)

Shelly- Good luck with your IVF consult.

Heidi- OMG Stella in her costume and you in yours, it's soooooo cute! I love it! And I love the skunk thought too!! Too cute!!
Oh the Hawaii trip! Have you been to Hawaii before? DH and I have been twice (honey moon and after our first loss) I highly recommend it! It is beautiful there, relaxing, hot and just a lot of fun!!

Rachel- I just realized (duh me! LOL) that my nephew's middle name is Aiden. I love the name. It's a really sweet name IMO.

Oh I must add that I love nicknames. Our first daughter will be Kaitlynn....and for the longest time I said no nicknames, but I am falling in love wiht the nickname Kat.

Thats really funny Shawna because I always loved the name Caitlynn (with a C) for a girl too. But I decided against it but only because my sister is Kathryn, which I think sometimes get shortend to Kat or Kasey so I decided it might be too confusing. Plus, I didn't want my sister thinking I'd named a child after her! hehe. Personally, I'm still liking Ava or Addison, especially Addison (Addyson?), I don't really know why...I just think its kinda pretty and Addy would be a cute nickname. Plus...I don't want anyone thinking of horses when they look at our child!! lol

Oh...my surname is also Lynch. So Caitlyn Lynch I thought might be too many Lyn's in there if you get my drift.

Hee hee now I feel badly for bringing up the horse connection. I honestly love the name Morgan for a boy more then a girl and I'm not sure why. Like I said, I think it's a powerful, beautiful name with the right middle name to accompany it!

We had originally planned to name our first daughter Kaitlynn Maria...Maria for my FIL, yes he has a female's middle name! LOL. Anyways, that has since flewn the coop very quickly!! I refuse to name my children after any of my Dh's side of the family and am actually looking into honoring my side more. Though it's hard because my side has rather plain names and I love the not so plain names. Guess we'll wait to see if we ever stay pregnant before we go naming anymore children! LOL

lol...thats my feeling. No more names until theres an actual pregnancy!! I'm actually having a bit of a down day today about this cycle. I'm thinking of cancelling the IUI myself because I have a bad vibe about it. I don't want to do it with a thin lining and then it either doesn't work or it does and I lose it again. I'd rather just skip it entirely. I guess I'll know more tomorrow when I see the RE...I think I'll tell him then how I feel and see what he says. Although my guess is he won't want to give up that easy but its my body and I ultimately have to feel good about it don't I? Either way...I'm feelin' the blues a bit today.

Alana- It's so hard. It's hard not to get down when faced with adversity. Only you and DH can honestly make the best decisions for you, but I do agree with your thinking totally. I believe I had a thin lining the last time I got pregnant therefor contributing to the miscarriage. If you don't feel your body is up to it, I say trust your judgement for sure!! Take care!

I hate working...I miss so much!

Heidi- your little kittie is so adorable!!! I love the pic of the 2 of you. She has mommy's wiskers!!! You can tell she is your kid. So cute! Thanks for the photos!

Remember Morgan Fairchild? I like Morgan for a girl better than boy.

Believe me, it is better to be SBB than BBB!!! Running has been out of the question since last Nov when I got pg and my boobs got really big. They went down some after the m/c, but this time they haven't decreased since the ectopic! Ugh!

Alana-I am sorry about the lining. I assume they will check it tomorrow so you can make a decision then. I am praying that it is thicker tomorrow and you can do your IUI

Well, AF is being fickle. It has mostly been spotting. This happened last month for a day, then came on full force. Since I got it late last night (spotting) I expect it will be in full force over the night or by tomorrow morning. I tried to call the RE's nurse today to set up CD3 testing, but I was put on hold and after about 5 minutes I got sick of it and hung up. Really, I don't want to be in the lab bashing up bacteria while holding the phone to my ear. So, I will call them in a few and see what they say. I hope they will say I can come in on Friday...

Well, I gotta get back to my protein (it is concentrating and I gotta go check on it). I live close to work so sometimes I come home (when everyone has bailed on me for lunch- I was working in the biosuite (bacteria lab) so no one saw me Solo lunch for me, but I got my girls online, right!!!

See you (type to you) after work. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Oh, and not only am I still PMSy, but my boss is micro-managing me and it is pissing me off big time so that on top of my PMS means I need to hide from my boss all day!

Just a thought before I go, Alana- are you on baby aspirin? Do you/your RE think that it might help with your lining? I just thought of that when I read your post and took mine (forgot this AM...I was supposed to start it back up when I got AF this cycle).

So I guess it won't be an 'ayden' after all. Girls are even tougher, it could go either way! A few possibilities could be Isabella, Addison or Ava. Dh really likes Morgan...what do you girls think of that name? Is it too masculine do you think?

Ahh... the "ayden" names... currently, in the day care where I am working, there are (out of 80 or so students) six "Aiden"s, two "Jayden"s, a "Kayden", and a "Braedon"... the only other "repeat" names we have are "Kate", "Audrey", "Divya", "Ben", and "Michael". No "Stella"s, though. 80)

Love the name Morgan... Morgan is the name of my favorite student ever... my little buddy. She's strong-willed, congenial, sweet, and a natural-born leader... not to mention gorgeous... hmm... do I dare post a pic of her? I think I do... but shh... One photo was on "Fairy Tale Day"... and the other was Morgan's last day (they moved away and I'm sad.).
