All this crazy gun talk and raisin bran killers around here today! It does sound like a freaky version of Law & Order Jen. I'm not sure what all my DH thinks of the forum. I think he's a little freaked out by the amount of time I spend on her but not by the concept of the whole thing. Plus, he's met Havanajimms and LaurieJ79 and knows they are both normal people. He did seem very excited about Jen's picture frame and my necklace gift. And, he knows that I'm constantly taking pictures of everything for you guys to see. So, he's probably a little mixed on the opinions. We just did a secret turkey thing in the January thread and I made DH pick the names out of the hat. I could tell he thought that was a little over the top! Didn't understand why I couldn't just pick the names myself.

So, now we wait for the big news from Brenna. I know she's on west coast time so I guess it could be a late post....

I'm excited that my risk of bleeding and bed rest went way down but I'm one of these weird people that really wants a c-section. DH does too. Have to hope my OB is still on board for the original plan! My placenta is marginal right now for a c-section vs. vaginal. We'll see how persuasive I can be... plus (and I know this sounds horrible) but we've met our $4K deductible for health insurance this year (on top of the $23K we spent on ivf) so I would hate to have this delivery in 2008. I know... money isn't the most important factor here but come on... my due date is Jan. 11th so I doubt those 11 days will make a difference. Should be an interesting conversation

Yay Rachel and Aiden!!! That's such great news! Are you still on modified bed rest or do you get to enjoy some of the upcoming fall weather at your parent's farm?

Brenna is on mountain time, same as me. It is 3:40pm now.

Rach-I can't see why 11 days would make a difference either. I thought most ob/gyns will schedule a c-section if one is requested. Sign me up! I don't think I could handle natural birth....I am a big wimp!!!

I'm going to stay on the modified activities to be on the safe side. You're at the greatest risk if the placenta is covering or touching the cervix. In that case, the rubbing and pressure when the baby gets larger puts you at a good chance of rupturing a blood vessel in the placenta. So, looks like that risk is gone for now.... but I might still be a little sore if I spend too much time on my feet b/c the placenta and baby are so low. I'm almost used to the modified activites by now and I know this isn't the time to take up an exercise routine!

I am WAY for the c-section. DH wants to do it just from a planning perspective. It's just him and one other manager in the restaurant he's in so it'll be really hard on the company if this is just a whenever-my-water-breaks situation. They'll have to pull a manager from another restuarant to cover for him and with a c-section at least it could be planned for. Oh, and did I mention it will be the two busiest weeks of the year for restaurants?? I also already made DH sit through the c-section class.

I'm not feeling so hot and am having tons of problems typing properly..I end up skipping out on the gym...one minute I'm hot the next I'm cold...one minute I'm hungry the next I want to stick my fingers down my throat just to make the nausea go away. And No, I am not pregannt. LOL

my biggest nightmare is that my MIL will take my kid and baptize him/her w/o my knowledge. I know that she wouldn't, but it still makes me nervous...

LOL that would be my biggest fear with MY OWN mother! I have nothing to worry about with DH's fam. They would never do it unless they were on some really bad drugs or something. LOL.

It's funny....people tell me all the time that babies who aren't baptised can't go to Heaven...come on! God would never turn a child away! I doubt He turns ANYONE away.
