Susan...did you know I am a veterinarian? Feel free to pepper me with any questions. I may not be able to answer them all, but I always have an opinion! That offer goes out to everyone else with animal questions, too.
Rachael - congratulations on the placental shift and the good ultrasound. Fingers crossed for Brenna, too. Tia - I certainly understand about using home improvement projects as a distraction. DH and I live in an old house on a hill (Hermit Hill, we call it), with donkeys, horses, ducks, chickens and dogs and cats. There is always something to be done here, whether inside or outside. Thanks to everyone for asking about the foster kids. The two that arrived in early October have just moved on to their 'therapeutic home'. DH and I provide respite care when kids first come into DFCS custody. The 8-month-old boy and the 4-year-old girl had health and emotional issues, so they stayed with us only until the perfect home was found for them. The biological mother had drug issues (of course) but will hopefully get her life together and get the kids back in 6 months or so. Having those kids here helped me SO much after the m/c. Talk about distracting yourself out of depression! I was too tired to breathe much less think about IF. I'm thinking about it more now that the kids are gone, but I am sure there will be more kids arriving any day. Jen...pictures....arghhh

Jo that is so cool! I want a donkey. He can play with my llamas that I want to get
![]() Okay Doc- so I have a 13 yo iguana (Maggie) who is pretty darn healthy, but likes to snack on cat food (and is very smart and knows where it is kept) and Kraft singles (she only gets cheese 1-2x a month). I know the cat food is high in protein, but it can't be that bad because she is doing well and eating her regular food (collard greens mostly, some frozen veggies, sometimes spinach or kale). What do you think? Okay, I have news. I have been sitting on it for about an hour until I got Susan's approval to spill the beans. I am horrible at keeping in news! But I do it until I get the okay. I got the okay. Susan went to the Dr. I guess to start her lupron stuff and they ran a beta and it came back at 5!!! She is only CD19. She was wondering if this could be real! We all know that Dr's say 5-25 is the early or questionable stage...and those who get it later in the cycle well it could go either way. But she is SOOOOOO early-CD19!!! This could be early implantation and the embryo is just starting to produce HCG. She can't start the lupron if there is a possibility of her being pg!!! She asked if she should repeat the beta. HELL YEAH!!!! whoooosh! I feel better now that I spilt that!

Thanks to all those who said prayers for me and baby. We have a peanut with a heartbeat of 112! Measuring on time, just a little slow on the hb, so hopefully next week will be stronger (like 140 she said). My beta is at 33,900, and prog. is 32. SO she said my #s are good they just want the hb up next week. Okay, I know I should be extatic, but I cannot help but worry because this is getting awfully familiar to last go round...........Soooo now I will be waiting anxiously to see if the hb goes up next week. And she could not get pictures today, she promised next week.
So Jen whats the piac report today? Thanks Rachael. ![]() Ronni, I am so proud of you for working out and eating better. I know all this stuff makes it very hard. I am at the worst I have been in years............i had nachos for lunch followed bt a visit to the ice cream shop!Okay I am going to continue reading and catching up.......

Brenna, how cool. I wish you could have gotten picture this time. I would not worry about the heartrate I was looking on line and it seems to be in the correct range. my doctor does not even give us the heartbeat rate at this stage.

Grits, thanks for the update. If the measurements look normal then that's a good indication things will be okay I think. My bean had a low heartbeat but also was a week or more behind in growth. I'm sorry you have that to worry about though. Another long week until your next ultrasound. Hopefully there will be a lot going on here to distract you.
Susan???? what's this????? Robin, my DH is an Alexander. Good name. Devan. I think my DH is quietly nervous about my online social life. At first he made anti comments about it as I alwasy ended up crying when I came onto the site, but really it was a healing process for me. Cheap therapy. This place has been vital for me especially after our loss. He's asked a number of times if you guys know about Stella. He hasn't really said he doesn't like it, but I can tell because he keeps asking if you al know about her. I thought at first he thought I was being insensitive by talking about her, but i realise now that's he's nervous about putting stufff on the internet. I have to admit, those scarey stories have come to mind sometimes and it makes me nervous that the wrong person will stumble onto our posts. Devan, need to teach me how to use one of your guns. I just showed DH the picture of your weapon which peeked his interest. I think he'd like us to have one of those in the house for protection. Instead he bought me a baseball bat that I remind him will probably be used against me if anything. I don't exactly have a lethal swing! I'll tell him you've got our back if anyone tries to come after us girls. Thanks for the nice comments guys. Believe me it took about 10 tries to get an acceptable picture of me. All the others made me look like a grumpy old troll. It's all about the bathroom lighting!! I have my phone consult with the RE tomorrow. Must remember to write stuff down so I know what I'm asking. What am I asking????? Jo, your place sounds very interesting with all the animals. I had a pet goat called Sally that had a tragic end. I always liked minature donkeys and ponies etc... but my dad just liked having cats and rabbits. I think it's wonderful that you are foster parents.

Heidi-how did your DH react to you meeting Shelly and I? It was a huge step on all of our parts, but it turned out great. And we now have a picture that will forever hang next to my computer with Bob in it
![]() Seriously I get so emotional when I think about all of our ups and downs. You girls better never leave me. Now I am crying-stupid progesterone (yes I continued it, thanks to all of you. See, I need your support and advice.) Martie-Susan didn't post. She text messaged me. I am slow as hell at typing on the phone. I don't think she was home yet but she let me spill the beans ![]() I miss my basement. It is all a mess due to the bathroom construction. The upstairs bathroom's tile is done-grouted today. Tomorrow they will fix the carpet to tile threshold and we can paint this weekend. The basement shower has boards and most of the floor tile has been laid. They will tile the shower tomorrow, finish the floor, then grout on Friday. Then we can paint that room this weekend too. I have been home, going to work for 2 hours in the morning and when the guys take lunch, then going back in the evenings. My boss doesn't care about when I work, just as long as I get my experiments done...

oh and Devan I was telling my DH about how your DH is so worried about you putting so much out there and meeting with people. When I mentioned the baby snatchers he was said "I was just about to say that". This never crossed my mind but he said he understood where your DH was coming from.

Baby snatchers are real sickos. We are just weirdos. Okay I am a weirdo. I do name my toilets. Right now we have Bessie and Jethro down (due to tile work). Huge difference! This never crossed my mind until Devan mentioned it too. That is why we have PMs and our private facebook site to give important private info.
