Thanks Robin...still waiting on the Irina tat photo...

Okay, here is Maggie in all her glory (actually, I couldn't get the last bit of tail in. She wasn't being cooperative).

Jo-now all I can think of is innuendos such as 'grabbing the bull by its horn' and stuff like that! And I have the Unsolved Mysteries theme going in my head too!

Jo - I am laughing so hard about the bull story!! I can just picture you in the middle of the ranch trying to discreetly explain this to the cattle ranchers. Ha!! Well, I don't blame you for changing over to just small animals after that incident. My parents have a farm in Maysville, GA so I'm always hearing stories about all the animals around them. They have 450+ acres up there all fenced in and yet a dog and a cow have found them and adopting them over the years. I've got a boxer here with a form of lupus in his nail beds. Our vet figured this out after his 4th busted & bleeding nail and sending a biopsy to a special vet. dermatologist here in Atlanta. Crazy what all we do for our animals!

Since we have our very own resident expert, what do you think of pet insurance? My last Boxer had an aggressive form of cancer and we didn't have insurance on her. I'm always debating it with this guy.

Brenna - 2-4 inches of snow?? I'm so glad I live in the South!

I was gone from Atlanta from 98-04 but I know not even a flurry from 2005 to now. I remember we had a bad ice storm one year and didn't have power for a week and I remember getting maybe 2 inches in 96 b/c I had to drive somewhere in it.

When I moved to Philly, we got 3 ft. of snow in our first storm of the year. I really had never experienced anything like that. I had to dig a tunnel through my back yard for my dog to go out b/c the snow was taller than her!

Robin we have to explain to everyone else too how down South even if you just get an inch of snow the entire city shuts down and all the schools cancel classes. The cities figures it's not worth investing money in snow equipment so they just wait for it to melt!

Well, the phone consult went as follows:
IUIs and GIFT are an option for us but he doesn't recommend because of my tubal insufficiencies. He say to way the risks of increased chance of ectopic and lower success rate with DH's issues.
So, basically until we are in a position to pay for IVF (I'll be 90...can it still happen then?), or get new job with new insurance, the only choice is to wait and see if we get selected for this other trial study. It's in much more of a guinea-pig phase than the last. This is phase 2, the other was phase 3. Basically means they are still experimenting with doses. Not optimal I'm sure.
I asked if I should get my tubes removed could they be hindering the outcome and he said I don't have the toxicity problems just deformity issues, so no.
So, we're in the same place, waiting, waiting.

My boss has offered to see if we can up my hours so that I'll be benefits eligible and can switch from DH's, but in some way I would feel like I'm selling my soul to the devil. I think I would be more inclined to change jobs and get more $$ and coverage. I thought it was somewhat noble to work for a non-profit place and earn less, but now it is just plain crazzzzzzy. I earned more 10 years ago.

Heidi-You live in Mass. You gotta get a job where they have proper insurance. You live in a mandated state. What is GIFT? I am too lazy to look it up right now. You are not giving up!!!

Tile people just left so I am going into work - yes at 3pm! Hopefully I can be done by 6 so I can come home and watch (read: sleep through) baseball. And hopefully there will be a better outcome tonight

Heidi, If your tubes have issues then why is that doctor telling you to do a Gift? The information on the website you gave says it is not good for people with tubal issues? I have tubal issues also, one is gone and the other is "pinched off' that is the way the doctor described it.
