Hey Shawna. My Dr. did not say anything at all about it. So I assume she thought it did not need to be addressed. She is not worried , so I do not worry. I wouldn't waste your time going just for that anyway. Now if you have other concerns.........
And about the names, you cannot be worse than me!! No worries here.

Alana and Shawna. Couples counseling can only help. I have never heard of anyone being hurt by it. It has saved my marriage more than once. And if he has offered, you are in great shape. Most DH's refuse.
Alana is there a way to determine when AF is due after d&C? It was 4 weeks last Wed. So anytime I suppose.....hopefully sooner rather than later. I am definitely doing FET as soon as they let me. Waiting is not something I am good at, or like to do! And lets face it, I am not getting any younger! I htink if your RE thinks it is worth savig the cycle it is worth trying. It can't hurt, right? I never paid any attention to my lining. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and keep praying!

Sunny, yeah the smoke sucks! The kids cannot play outside or anything. I am not sure how much longer the fire season lasts. I am still new at this. I hope it ends soon. I am swith you on the waiting in the dark bit. But I just try to go with the flow. Some days works better than others!

Jen , I have a confession..........I never got the flu shot for me. My dd has asthma, and is allergic to eggs (they supposedly use in the shot), so to protect her the whole family gets it. She was hospitalized once for four days and slept and ate under an oxygen tent (they thought she had RSV, but she didn't). So we do not take any chances.

And I am not going anywhere either! We are in this together!

I hate to get my hopes up, but I feel kinda PMSy. I could not stop eating yesterday, and I woke up with mild cramps. I hope it is not wishful thinking. Of course AF would show today, on the day I finally decided to use the gift card DH gave me for the spa! I will be there 1/2 day getting a stone massage, peedicure, and facilal. My sister got one too from her DH, so she is coming and we are having lunch and shopping downtown. So I will give you the scoop later.

Have a great day Girls!!

Brenna, feeling PMSy sounds very hopeful. I didn't have any signs of that until I went on the provera to bring on AF. Turns out I didn't really need it as she arrived only a few days later. I think it was about 5 weeks for me after the D&C, which is my usual cycle length. So if you are a 28 dayer you are probably right on schedule. I think also the nurse said once the levels are at zero she won't take long to arrive. Do you know what yours are now? By the way, I'm glad to hear you aren't going anywhere either.

By the way...did any of you see in the news last week that the Dugger family had baby number 17? Yikes, I can't even seem to manage one and there are people out there so fertile they actually have a football team! Mind you, there are obviously some compromises being made to have that many kids...they all seem to be wearing clothes made out of the curtains or something! (hehe, thats probably very mean of me to say...but kinda true!) Anyway, its not that I'm jealous of her having SO many kids, I mean thats just insane. But still....couldn't the universe have shared the fertility around a bit? I mean...17 is just plain greedy!

Hey Alana, I am still here. My sister Alana is always late! Are you like that too? Yes, I am usually a 28 dayer, so we shall see.....last I checked my level was 12 I think. That was a week ago.

17 kids! That is scary!! Reminds me of the Sound of Music with the curtains. He He!

I had trouble getting on here last night and now I can't even remember everyone's posts I'll have to start taking notes as I read!

I am not going anywhere either. I love having you girls around. I am a true believer in what goes around comes around. You were there to support me and I'm there to support you now. I always wondered too about my fertility ever since I got the endo diagnosis. No one else in my family has ever had endo. My Mom always teased me that my wide hips were made to give birth to tons of kids and that I would have no problems. DH has tons of neices and nephews and is one of 6 kids so I never thought we would end up at IVF due to sperm issues. You just never know!

JenCat - I have to admit I've been to SCI before. My youngest brother is a real fan (in every sense of the word!) and dragged me to several concerts in both my college town and up in Philly. I've never felt so old in my life as the last concert. Everyone was a total pothead and I was yawning and just wanted to go home and get into bed. It was one of those never ending concerts!

Alana - I'm still cheering away for you on this cycle! And, I did see that story in the news about 17 kids. Craziness. I think they're all just raising each other at this point.

Shelly - I have endo too and have some pretty bad days in there. To be honest, I have some pretty heavyduty legal drugs for the "bad" days - percocet, etc. You may want to ask your gyn about that possibility. I use the pills maybe 6 times a year. But, when I need them, boy do you need them! I saw your post in the IVF thread too. I was very nervous that all the stim meds would make my endo unbearable during my IVF cycle. It really wasn't any worse than normal. Just in case you've been thinking of this.

Oh, and I'll be good and get a flu shot this year too. Guess I'll be first in line in September. Don't know if I can talk DH into it though. He got one once and had a bad reaction.

I have to run into the office for a while.... I'll touch base later!

Okay, I have to stop snacking on wasabi peas, they're giving me a belly ache and making me sneeze!!

Grits, the PMS'yness is a good sign. Did you feel signs of ovulation this month? I think I did and that's how I kind of knew that AF wasn't going to be too far away.

Diva, do you have an Edmunds cooking book? Unfortunately I don't cook well, but when I do, it's always out of my old Edmunds book that a family member got me. They highlighted my grandmother's favorites like Flummery. The only thing I'm good at is Chocolate self saucing pudding!! I'm eating some now. So much for loosing some of the 10lbs.

Jen, are you not a morning person??

I just realized this morning. If we get to do the FET next cycle and it works that I'd be due in the month of our 10th wedding anniversary. That would be cool. If it was a boy I could call him Ten.

Heidi you crack me up! Ten would be hysterical as a name...but hey, why not? If Gwyneth can do Apple!

I should be snacking on peas...instead I've got a bowl of crisps next to me and I'm munching on them. Very bad!

Oh, and I don't have my own copy of the Edmunds cook book, but it was like the bible in my house when I was growing up. I'm a completely awful cook (DH does it all thankfully!) but my mother and grandmother used it all the time. I wonder if my sister does too? I'll have to find out.

Brenna, like my cycles I am always late! Its been that way forever for me...guess my parents gave me the right name!

Rachael, how are you feeling lately? Should you be working? I thought you were banished to a life of fawning and feeding by your DH...yet here you are dashing off to work. Get back to bed you naughty preggers lady!!

As for symptoms, I've just got off the phone to my clinic as I am having a terrible time with the drugs they have me on. The low estrogen has basically given me one long headache thats not going away. I'm going to see my RE tomorrow morning and I think I"ll hit him when I see him. Ugh!! I think he will probably cancel the cycle anyway as he wanted to see my estrogen rise but judging by how my head feels it most definately isn't. Do you think he broke my hormones? Is that possible? Like maybe I'll never produce estrogen again or something? Great...my BB's had better not shrink. Then they won't just be SBB's...they'll be VSBB's!!

Good afternoon Ladies. I just got home from running around and a doctors appt. I have been having this pain in my neck and I thought I felt a lump...off to the doctors I went...I have an ear infection and the lump is my lymphnodes! Boo me!! I also asked her about headaches and dizziness....she is concerned the metformin is making my sugar levels TOO low. So blood tests on Monday and I think she's leaning towards having my check my sugars every day! Joy, I'll have a hard time poking myself for blood if this is the case!

Heidi- I don't think your crazy on bit! (re: your vision) It gave me chills!! I love it...I too believe in fate.

Alana- way to go DH!! That's awesome!! I wonder if my DH could do it as well! LOL. And yes, omg the Duggers....I agree on sharing the fertility vibes! I feel sorry for their children though they are wonderful kids...it's just I can't imagine the supervised dates, or pre-arranged marriage...the no MAKE UP!! I'd run away for sure! LOL

Jen- I hope you are feeling better and enjoying your day at work!

Breanna- Ihope the fire season is over for you very soon! I can't imagine it, but I do know I couldn't handle it myself! AND your spa day, it sound fantastic, I'm so jealous! LOL

Rachel- You said you were going to have to start takiing notes...I do as well! LOL I have such a short term memory I have to. So yeah...lol...I take notes!! Hee hee!

Hoping everyone is having a great day!

You sound like you feel as well as I do Shawna, and I know only too well how bad ear infections can make you feel.

At the moment my follistim injections seem to be making me feel even worse than the Letrozole. I wonder if nausea and headaches are a normal symptom or, as my hypochondriac mind assumes, a sign that menopause is impending and my last little egg just bit the dust. I really gotta get off this stuff...I'm starting to imagine all sorts of things are going wrong. Like...I swear its made my BB's shrink. I'm not kidding!! Is that possible? HELP!!!! The fertility meds are making me CRAZY!!!

Oh, and just to completely gross everyone out...I am like a dried up old prune 'down there'. I mean, its ridiculous, my elbow is less dry!! (and I have a wrinkled old elbow I tell you that!) Honestly, in the space of one week I've become my grandma. This can't be normal, can it??

Thanks Shawna. I've decided I really am going to hit my RE tomorrow. This is crazy...its like hes trying to kill me or something. Either way this bad reaction to these drugs makes me know deep down that this will not be the month for a BFP. I'm just too messed up physically with it all. Oh well, at least I know now how I react to stims. Not very well!

Alana, I'm sorry you're having all these dreadful symptoms. I should of kept better notes because my IVF cycle is all a blur now and my IUI's were in 2003. I gave myself the tummy shots and DH did the bum ones. I don't recall headaches and v-dryness. I'm glad they're monitoring you closely and don't be afraid to voice your concerns. Even if yours is a little voice like mine (do you have the kiwi mumble?)

I do however have very dry elbows!

Shawna - I made it through a whole 10 posts with no notepad by my side so I better type fast! I hope your ear infection clears up quickly.

Alana - I had headaches on the lupron but they went away once I decreased the dosage. No headaches on the stim meds. I absolutely had the dried up prune thing going on. To be quite honest, I bought my first ky lub on my ivf cycle. Do not do the one that says it's a warming gel for massages... thought it sounded like fun... but it only dried you up quicker. Do the old fashioned jelly one if you make that trip to the drugstore... and checkout asap like I did with it hidden at the bottom of my cart Worse than my recent trips to buy pantyliners by the large pack while pregnant!

Sunny - My DH loves wasabi pees. I could really go for some good sushi right about now!

Yes, I am trying to take it easy. Actually, today I went into the office to officially hand over some of my real estate duties to another agent that will help me cover. Of course, once I was there, I wound up helping a friend that is swamped with business and is dying for me to take some of his clients. So hard to say no - but I did. I just helped him get through his contracts today. I've been an agent for 1.5 years so things were just starting to pick up and I would have loved to close a few more houses this year and pay off our IVF bills. I hate the idea of having a new baby and bills from IVF but I'll have to not let my overorganized financial mind analyze this too much.

Heidi, no I am not a morning person. But to be fair I was up past 2am due to the concert...(and reading in bed!). And I have been getting up for a 8am walk (last week was 10.7 miles) on Saturdays. My walker buddy is outta town this week so I get to sleep in tomorrow! So what month is your anniversary? If it is May or June, you could call your daughter May or June!!!

I did see the story of the crazy lady w/ 17 kids, AND wants more!!! The oldest is 19!!! That poor girl probably has to take care of the young kids while mom is taking care of the infants. That woman has been pg for 10.5 years! Nuts. But despite all that, even if they could afford it, how do you give 17 kids the personal attention that a kid needs? I kind of think it isn't fair to the children. Why so many?

Alana- I would be happy to share my Bbb's with you (hope that comes out sounding okay...). Anyway, I wish mine would get smaller. As I was bouncing around at the concert last night I was getting a bit sore, and I was wearing a sports bra! (I find them more comfortable these days).
Also, I really hope they don't cancel your cycle. It is good that you are getting to find out what is going on with your body. Let us know how your appointment tomorrow goes!!!

Rachel-Yeah, I did feel old at the SCI concert. DH and I were the only ones not smoking anything! Or drinking. But we still danced like crazy. Around 10pm I started to get really tired (old!!!) but the concert still went on for another 1.5 hours! Well, it is the last time cause this is the last tour. Oh, I can't remember if I wrote this before, but I would LOVE to work at the CDC!

Brenna- doesn't matter why you get the shot, just that you get it! Your poor DD! Asthma does suck, and egg allergies are hard. Can she eat baked goods that are cooked with eggs, or does she really have to watch what she is eating? The flu virus is grown in eggs because you get very high yields. It can be grown in tissue culture cells- we grow it in dog and monkey cells. Since the virus is grown in eggs, they advise those that are allergic to eggs not to get the shot. I hear that they are working on a non-egg grown vaccine, where the main antigenic protein of influenza is grown in baculovirus infected insect cultures. Hopefully they will get something like this out to market soon.

Shawna-ear infections suck. I hope you feel better soon. Let us know how your blood work goes Monday. I hope you don't have to test your sugars every day. It is no fun, but if it keeps you healthy, then it is totally worth it!

Shelly must be off shopping. Wish I was with you!
