Alana - Those pics are so cute!! Shelly is my hero too. Can't imagine 3 boys at once. At least they will always have a playmate in the house. I gotta check your sleep thread. Anything helping yet?

Jen - I'm not great with the bf'ing advice. Aiden was a serious latcher too and I would try to sneak a pinky in there to break it. They told me just 15mins each side b/c after that he is just burning calories and not really getting milk.

Heidi - You are in cold hell over there. Yucko!! If Aiden didn't have such crazy bed hair after every nap, I'd probably let it keep getting longer but he wakes up looking like Alfalfa and I have to wet it to fix it

April - What a fun fun night!! It must have been great to spend time with old friends. I had a fabulous Italian meal at a little place in Laguana. The food there was so yummy and you just can't beat watching the ocean and the cliffs. You two sound very happy these days which is wonderful to hear.

Shawna - I know these are the toughest times. Hang in there. Some nurses are definitely more supportive than others but the boys are getting great care.

Back to evil taxes. Urgh. This is what happens when you procrastinate...

Yes, we have had one nurse removed from our case so we know that we can do this. I am getting sick of complaining about nurses though. Gah! Number one ICN in the city and it has half good nurses and half crap nurses! My milk supply is low, way too low. Every nurse that comes across our case questions why I'm not on motilium but on further research of the drug we're not sure about the side effects on the babies. It's annoying and frustrating. I don't want to take something that migh tharm our children. I am trying BFing tea (With fenugreek and all that other stuff) and nothing. I need some sleep. I am up pumping every three hours. Last night DH was so exhausted I let him sleep instead of doing the running on each pump. (taking the milk downstairs or helping with lables, clean up, etc.) And now I am exhausted. Hense the reason why I"m online and not at the hospital... there has to be an even way to do this, but we still haven't figured it out. How do we not get sick or run down when you're staring at the same four wheels and listening ot the same beeping, resetting monitors...nurses coming in and out...being told one thing then told another. And to boot people who shouldn't just be walking into our room, ARE!! No one stops in and checks in at the front desk and I've had it with people thoinking they know where they're going and showing up in our room!!!

I am slowly, no scratch that....very quickly going crazy....

Hi Everyone... I get to post the fun news with permission...

TIA HAD BABY PARKER YESTERDAY!!

I just talked with her from the hospital. She has internet in her room but is still waiting on a keyboard so she can log in. She can't wait to share but wanted me to update everyone.

Start with the good news. Parker is a healthy huge baby boy
Born on Saturday at 10:49am 9lbs. 4oz. and 20 3/4 inches

Unfortunately, it was an emergency c-section. She went for her usual OB appt on Friday and her blood pressure had spiked and she had traces of protein in her urine. So, the beginnings of preclampsia and no one wanted to take a chance over the weekend. They admitted Tia on Friday night and her cervix was still closed so they did a balloon method to attempt to open it. Tia says this hurt like hell! She got to 5.5cm but just wasn't dialating anymore. The epidural was only working on half her body so they decided to do a full spinal block and prep for a c-section. Apparently, something with the meds between the usual epidural and the full spinal didn't mix well for our poor Tia and she suddenly couldn't breathe. The doctors quickly knocked her out, performed the c-section, and rushed to get her and Parker back to healthy and breathing. Sounds very scary.

But, both baby and mama are doing great! Tia was able to walk a little today and take a lovely shower. She says Parker is latching and nursing well.

Tia sounds wonderful and thrilled with her adorable baby.

We miss ya Tia!! Rest up and post some pics when you can

Yay Tia!!!!! Congrats on the big little man. Sorry for the pain and the emergency section but I am sure it is already becoming a distant memory. Cant wait to see a pic of this gorgeous baby. Congrats again.

Shawna- I am sorry those nurses are so stinky. I will be happy for you and Matt when the Nicu days are behind you. These boys are getting stronger everyday and they will be home cuddling with you soon. Good luck with the milk supply. I have read articles that women with PCOS sometimes (unfourtunately) have issues with milk supply (you are PCOS right?). Well anyway someone on the forum posted a few weeks back on this topic and I think she found that Metformin is suppossed to help with production. I dont have any idea if it is considered safe or not for breastfeeding (I would assume yes since the articles she read said it helps and I think that is what she ended up doing) but maybe that is an option. I am sorry I know you dont have much time and I have no experience but just wanted to mention it.

April- Have fun at the shower. I love that Mel is your designanted driver . And I say go for it with taking the babies to Hawaii. It would be so much fun!!!!! I know you had talked about it before but are you going to induce lactation and breast feed the twins too? Just wondering sorry if I am too nosy.

Rachael- Aiden is so cute!!!!! I love those pics!!!

Jen- Yay on breastfeeding going well!!!! I will try to send you my afternoon nap .

Alana- Your Dh looks so cute holding the trips!!! I agree Shelly is pretty awesome. Will you hang out with them (play dates?) if you head out to California? I am also going to send Reed my afternoon nap!!!!

Susan- You are in my prayers and I hope everything is okay with your sweet little girl.

Heidi- You have the perfect bump. You are skinny everywhere and just have a baby bump!!! You look like a pregnancy model. You could be on that expecting models show.

Kris- Hope you and Simon are having a blast. Cant wait to hear all about it and see pics.

Kelly- Hope you are feeling well. I think I missed it but are you doing a little redecorating around the house? Have fun with the painting.

Jess- When are you cycling? Has af finally arrived. Hope you, dh and the kiddos are all well.

Liza- Miss you hun. Hope the lupron is treating you well. Classes start next month for the foster-adopt?

Josee- Glad Dh's spermies are good to go!!!! You will be in my prayers for your cyst drain Wednesday. I am hoping it goes well with very little pain. You are well on your way now!!!!

Hi Martie and Hannah!!!!!!

As for me. The anxiety strikes again. I had some pains in what felt like my cervix yesterday (but I cant be certain) I called the nurse at RE's office and was expecting her to just say everything is normal and fine just stretching pains. Well the biotch freaks me out and says that no pain in pregnancy is normal or a good sign. WTH? People are always talking about stretching pains and round ligament pains and cramping. So she set up an appointment for u/s today and thank the lord everything is fine. Baby is measuring 9w4d and I am 9w3d. It has little arms and legs that look like teddy bear arms and legs. It was kicking and wiggling and waving. Heartbeat looks good, cervix is nice and long so I am happy and hopefully will be calm for a little while. My next appointment is Wednesday. I almost made it to the 2 full weeks between appointments. Oh well I am trying my best this is new to me. It has taken a lot to get here and I need the reassurance that everything is okay.

Well that is me. Last night Dh and I watched this made for TV miniseries about the Jackson 5 that was on in the 90's but was on VH1 last night. We were completly hooked on this show. After it was over we had to you tube the actual vide of Michael performing Billy Jean at Motown 25 and the moonwalk to compare it to the actors performance. Then we had to play the video teaching us how to do the moonwalk. So last night Dh and I were trying to moonwalk around our living room. This is why I love this man. Because we can be silly and laugh and moonwalk around our house . He is the best!!!

Thank you but you guys are too kind. From about a 1000 pictures I pluck out a few that are more flattering than the rest and post them. If I wasn't so vain I would post some of the others. Many have the kaboose photoshopped right out of them now though.

Marissa, I love that expecting models show. I'm sure those girls only gain the minimum 25lbs however because I don't see any cottage cheese thighs.
Also, I don't know what that nurse was talking about because I would say that tweaks and pains are common in pregnancy, but severe pains are not. Not so long ago I was having stabbing pains shooting from the you know what and up. They would make me jump off my seat. Apparently all normal (well at least based on a thread I started here). However, never hesitate to call when you are worried. Lord knows my OB's secretarys know my number.

Josee, welcome back. Did you go anywhere for the weekend or just a busy Lizzy? Did I hear that you guys got a crap load of snow?

Rach, thanks for the Tia update!!!!

Hi Amy!!

Shawna, I hope your supply increases soon, I can imagine how frustrating that is. I was trying to do some research for you on motilium and fenugreek however have found probably the same things you have on them. Motilium is not FDA approved here for milk supply and Fenugreek has risk of allergic reaction etc.. Is your milk increasing each day or is it the same amount?
