Hi girls, sorry I have been MIA for a while. I have been sorting through emotions and trying to get back some normalcy for a little while without baby thoughts and concerns. I am glad to read everyones updates. Thank you for thinking of me Alana and jencat. By the way jen I love your hair color, you look great! I think there is something with hormone shifts that makes us women change our hair. I just cut mine way different. I have bangs for the first time since i was like 10 years old. And i am glad your HSG went well. I know they hurt like a bugger, but at least it does not last long. And jen that was a very impressive explanation! Thanks for your insight!
I have gotten 5 lbs off and I have five more to go.......

Tracey, I am sorry for all the heartache you have been suffering. I will pray for you and your DH. You are stronger than you think. Coming here will help you I am sure. i know it helps me. Think positive and keep your eyes on the future. I know it is hard, but it is better than the alternative.
Shellyhume, congrats on the IVF approval! You are so fortunate to have that. Shellyhume, that is amazing your mother bought you a crib. I can see where you might teeter a bit at first, but I think you are right it is an incredible display of support. I just hope she is keeping it at her house out of sight until it is needed.
Sunny I know it is a diffficult dilemma, because I know what I went through deciding to try before my trip. If I had it to do over, I think I would have waited. I spent the whole trip worrying about the baby, not being able to do half of what everyone was doing, and now I wonder about the wiseness of flying.........I know it would be hard to wait........of course if I was still pg I would be glad I did not wait, so who knows. I guess it is all on God's plan. So try praying on it, and the answer will come to you.
I wish I could meet with you girls!

Okay girls, maybe we could aim for Tuesday around 5PM if that suits?. I could do earlier, but some may have to work later than I? Cheers in Fanieul Hall is a place I can find if it's okay with everyone else?

Jen, I'll call tomorrow morning to touch base.

Tracey, it sounds like there are a few of us homesick Australasians right now. I'm conflicted about whether to visit family or try again. They both hold great importance to me and I just don't want to make a decision right now.

It makes me so sad to read about your loss. It really sounds like you went through an extremely painful experience physically and emotionally. We are always here to talk about your experience. It helps to discuss things with people who can relate on some level.

Cheers would be fine with me. We walked by the place yesterday. I think Shelly said that she couldn't get away until 6:30pm? Shelly-if that is so, you pick the time and let us know?!? Would you girls mind if I dragged my DH with me? Unless he can find something better to do... Don't worry-he gets along great with all my girlfriends- he is a guy who can talk to anyone about anything! But, don't any of you tell him that I said anything nice here about him!!!

Me? Ringleader? No Way!!!

Susan, I will send you my phone number too.

You girls will recognize me by the red hair. It will definitely be frizzier than the photo I put up here- living in Colorado I forgot how humidity reacts with my hair!!!

Grits-I wish you could be here too. Post a picture of your new hair cut.

Diva-I wish you were here too!!! If you or any of you girls are ever in Colorado, look me up!!!

Tracey-you write as long a post as you want here. If 'talking' about it here helps you, even just a tiny bit, it is 100% worth every word you type. Yes, I had to deal with multiple m/c's, but I have never heard a heartbeat (my longest carry was 8 weeks, but by the time I went for the u/s, the embryo had stopped growing). Your tragedy truly breaks my heart. Of course once you go through something like that you don't come out the other end the same. But you do come out stronger. The strength takes time to build, but eventually it does. I hope that is also true of your marriage. And of course, I hope and pray that you will get to hold your future baby in the very near future (okay, at least after 10 months from now!!!). My m/c's really did hurt. But I also know that (to be scientific about it ) those embryos were not genetically viable, or my body just wasn't ready to hold a pg. But I also know that one day, SOON, it will be. Remember, we are here for you

Sunny - I wish I didn't have to deal with family conflicts right now as I would love to keep ttc, or at least one part of me would. But we just had a family tradegy, my aunt recently died and my father is having a really hard time with it so I am getting pressure from my mother to go home, which was always the plan before, but now that I am at a fertility clinic I don't know what to do. I hate that it makes me sound selfish that I would rather ttc then go home and be with my family, I actually almost mentioned to my mother that they should come over here instead so that I didn't have to choose, as soon as the thought entered my head I wanted to hit myself over the head for being so selfish. At times it's like having a person inside my head that is so not me, and I actually wonder where she comes up with these stupid ideas. Don't worry I'm not unstable or anything, I just have my masters is psychology and as a result I spend way too much time inside my own head, to the point I actually have disagreements with myself. I just have to shake my head at times, being an only child or having the ability to self analyse your self is really not all that advantageous especially when it comes to making decisions like this.

Jencat - Glad everyone understands about just rambling on at times. Really when you start to write about something you never realise how long it is until you have posted it and by then you don't want to change it. Anyway I'm doing ok, I have been talking to a friend of mine and she is helping me put everything into perspective, now all I have to do is decided if I want to continue ttc this year, at least 1 more IUI or wait until next year. Whatever I decide, I won't be rushing into it, my last cycle was kind of spur of the moment and obvivously that wasn't a healthy way for me to do anything as it almost caused me to have a mini breakdown, luckily I have come to understand the benefits of what I have gone through and hopefully that experience will help me in the future.

Best of luck to those of you who are meeting this week, it's a pity we all can't get together, but I'm sure you'll have a blase, take lots of pictures we all want to see what we're missing.

Yes, I work until 6:30... but let me see if I can't arrange something to be out a little earlier... I'm pretty crafty that way. I'll call you this afternoon/evening and let you know.

No reply from Auburn girl as yet, but I think this weekend she was going camping. Maybe she was going away for a long weekend. Nevermind, if she gets the message by tomorrow, she may be able to come or at least know she was invited.

Hi Girls-

Susan PM'ed me this, and I wanted to post cause I want to make sure we all meet at the right place!!!

Hi Jen,
That is so funny. My siter's name is Jennifer Lynn and my birthday is 2/14!! I will post a pic for everyone, although it may be tough to find one of me with my new hair, I used to be blonde! I will try though. Which Cheers are you guys thinking about? There is the orignal one in Beacon Hill and then there is the one in Faneuil Hall. Beaon Hill is closer to where you are. I am not sure how to get to the one in Faneuil...
I will be taking the commuter rail in from Providence and then meandering my way to find you all!
I was thinking of booking a hotel for myself so I don't have to worry about making a train home...

I didn't know there were 2 cheers. I thought the one I walked by was in the financial district- is that Faneuil?

Can't wait to see Susan's photos!!!

Hi, well I believe we've been talking about the Cheers in the Quincy Markets/Fanieul Hall area. If Susan wants, I can meet her at Back Bay and we can navigate our way together. Jen you are the visitor, so whatever suits you. It'll be nice to meet you and your hubby!!!

Hi Girls,
I tried to take a picture of myself with my digital camera but I could not find the attachment to download it to my computer. I sent a pic to Jencat's cell phone and I can do the same for everyone else so we all know who we are looking for. I have an idea of what Jen looks like, Heidi, I think you have blonde hair? I don't remember anyone else, so I guess we could just spend all day texting pics to each other!!! HEHEHE. Besides today is a really bad hair day!

We could all wear a pink carnation, ha ha.

Susan, I'm not blonde unfortunately, just brown and gray with streaks of blonde. I nearly always wear black everyday in some way or form, so that's probably what I'll be wearing tomorrow. From memory from posting pics not long ago, are you the petite blonde that was on a yacht with your DH?

Any news from Shelly about a time. Is it 6:30PM?? If you guys want to make it later, please feel free. I'll come and meet you guys then just scuttle home when I need to for the train. The main thing is meeting you guys.

I think short is a better word than petite to describe me!!!! I will be wearing jeans as always and some neutral color shirt. I was the one on the boat with hubby, however I am not blonde anymore, nor petitie!!! I darkened my hair and gained about ten pounds which I try to be clever about hiding!!!
I am trying to book a hotel room so I don't have to worry about making the train or being to tired to drive from the train station. I am on my way to the airport to pick up my mom and then I will try again to book a hotel. Sunny- Do we get off at Back Bay? If I get a room I will go earlier and then walk from the hotel(I am shooting for the Westin at Copley) to Cheers(or taxi knowing me) If I am not staying then I will take either the 3:30 or 5:20 train. Just rambling... sorry!
