Lol...Rachael, I agree. Politics and infertility don't mix!! Although I will say Shelly that I do agree with alot of what you say. Its fun to bash Bush just because hes there, but you're right, hes not been all bad. Do any of you remember when the two Americans and one British man got beheaded by Al Quaeda? Well, I unfortunately have since seen the horrific video of one of the victims, Eugene Armstrong, being executed. Let me just say now..DO NOT WATCH IT!! It will traumatize you forever. Needless to say, Bush and his honest, almost naiive desire to get justice for these men really helped me feel a little better and for that I will always be thankful. Oh, and as I think I posted elsewhere, I'm not Republican or Democratically minded, I'm kinda with whoever wants the best for the country I'm in.

There, thats enough of politics for one lifetime! Back to the usual dramas of infertility. However I think we can all agree it was fun to try to guess Jens car type. We should do that more often.

So, where is everyone at in their cycles? Any news anyone? I'm about 7dpiui and not feeling any different at all. Actually, I wanted to ask you all, have your cycles been different since the miscarriage? I no longer have any PMS symptoms, yet I used to get them TERRIBLY! Whats up with that? Is this a bad sign do you think??

Hi girlies!!

Alana, I'm just waiting for AF to arrive. I'm having the same degree of PMS as I used to, swollen legs, bulging aching tummy, burning pains and being a real witch with a capital B. I think I'm CD22 and my periods used to come between 27-35 days. So, I'm waiting waiting. It'll arrive when I have to go to a BBQ on Saturday no doubt!

Today I looked up another IVF clinic in Boston and they've got another clinical trial going on. I really wished I had researched this a month ago because we may have been able to participate. Now I feel we are already to close to starting the FET with the other clinic and we sacrificed other stuff (reunion in Hawaii) to do this, so feel like we shouldn't back out. It is just that this other study says you can't have more than one prior failed IVF attempt and have to be between 21-35. So? what constitutes failed? do you think it's not having a live birth or the not getting pregnant at all. DH seems to think that we were successful because we were referred back to ob-gyn therefore the IVF really did work, the pregnancy just didn't? Secondly does between 21-35 mean you can be 35 and still participate or do you have to be up to 35. As in, I'm 35 this Halloween. This would have been another free IVF cycle worth $15K or so, and then we could of have done FET another time if it didn't work as that's only $2K. I guess I just need to chill and go with what we already have on the table. I just wish I'd thought of doing more research on other trial studies earlier. I just think that if this doesn't work then we wouldn't be able to particpate in the other study because that potentially could be 2 failed IVFs. Little brain working overtime here. Tick, tick, tick.

Politics, uggg. I'm not a citizen here yet - toooo lazy, so don't have the right to vote. Lets just say I am an on the fence person. I see the reasoning from both sides. However, I really don't like wars, but not sure how else to resolve world conflicts especially because other nations don't seem to get the peace and love thing. We should all be hippies!!!!!

We used to call the SUV we sold Bessie -- or was it Gertie?? We sold and downsized to a sedan. We feel happier about doing something for the environment, however we aren't happy about slipping and sliding in winter. It handled pretty well last winter.

Someone mentioned something about hybrids. My FIL who either thinks he knows everything or knows something else that does, says that the hybrids have a special battery that only last 10 years and they are not bio-degradable and very toxic to the environment. They haven't figured what to do with that problem down the road??

No names for our loos, but DH and I alternative. Usually I'm upstairs -- more discreet there. Although in our house it isn't unheard of to have the door pulled open while you're in there. Umm, excuse me, some privacy pleeease!

Jen, I went for a 45 minute walk yesterday and thought of you. Unfortunately I wore new non-walking shoes and came back with about 45 blisters. One for every minute!

Shelly my close friend is a Republican. Boy can she get touchy on the subject. Oh it is fun for us dems to get together and bash the prez. Didn't want to upset ya. We still love ya.

Anyway, my u/s went great! A nice fat follie on the right. I truly believe it was you girls' support, and my new fertility bracelet!!! Came in the mail yesterday, but had to sign for it so I got it after my u/s. So they told us we didn't need to trigger- I got a +OPK last night and this AM. And then the nurse told us to BD for the next few nights. Kinda weird to be told to have sex... But, if the Dr. orders it...

I am reading The Moscow Vector, by Robert Ludlem. It is okay- I got it for the plane ride to Boston. I am usually a very fast reader...I read Harry Potter 7 in the hotel bathroom (that was Fred, btw!) in 3 very long nights, for a few hours each. I do want to read A few Good Eggs...I have heard about it. Can you get it at Borders?

Alana- I had the worst PMS this month. It started a week before AF, and lasted for about 8 days. I was so witchy. I have no idea why. I never have it like that.

Shawna- that site I posted for the bracelet...well if you scroll down, they have necklaces for m/c. I thought of you, cause you wanted a tatoo to represent. Here is something a little less permanent, but still very meaningful. Something to do with butterflies...I will post it again for you.

Good to see you Heidi. Sorry about your blisters. Need good sneakers. But make sure you walk around in them first. What is it with DH's and the no privacy in the loo (can, toilet, whatever!). DH is perfectly happy to chat with me while he is in there. But we have a rule. When I am in the bathroom, he needs to go elsewhere. I do like my privacy. And I can finish a book in there in peace...

Okay, I submitted my vote on your other thread. I don't know how you ladies keep up with all these threads! I'm a project manager and painfully anal retentive about things and sickeningly organized most of the time and you all put me to shame!!!

Jen, the other day MIL was visiting and she went to the bathroom (didn't lock) so Stella busts open the door saying "Meme, I need to give you some privacy". That's what we say when she needs to go, "do you need some privacy?". Clearly she doesn't comprehend what privacy is exactly. Then, when Stella needed the bathroom she asked me to lock the door "so that meme doesn't come and see me". Double standards I tell ya.

Great news on the juicy follie!!!!

Yay Jen!! That is such great news. And don't spend too much time talking to us tonight. Doctors order afterall!

Shelly - I didn't mean to get under your skin. I just hate some of the things going on right now. Probably #1 on my list is spending over $600 a month on health insurance, still having to spend over $22K just this year out of pocket for IVF, and still getting medical bills in the mail. Urgh. I hope someone can solve this healthcare crisis next time around.

Heidi - Try not to stress too much about the trial. We just missed one too. They seem to come up all the time and I know of someone in Atlanta that participated in a trial and she was 38. You just have to find the right one. Also, your m/c counts as a successful pregnancy in the IF world. I asked after my twin when I had to fill out some forms. I think just stick with the FET since that is where your heart is right now.

Alana - no bad thoughts over there! You never know. I think it's great that your not overthinking this cycle and are just letting things happen. I never had any symptoms that were different from AF with my BFP.

Goob - I have to go check the other thread too... and I'm a fast typer and can't keep up!

I'm the one with the hybrid. I think we have a lifetime warranty on our battery. I know we took out the 10 year extended warranty on the rest of the car just in case. We were worried too about the technology just being so new. The battery constantly recharges itself when the engine is running so theoritically it shouldn't die. I keep forgetting to ask the service department though about the car ever needed a jump if I were to leave a light on or something. I do know they can't figure out how to test emissions on hybrids yet here in Georgia. Typically, your car has to stay on with the engine running to do the test and the hybrid is designed to basically stall when it is in park for more than about 10 seconds. We'll see....
