Thank you Peachy. I know I shouldn't get myself all wound up further about these things. It doesn't help with the stress levels.

Jen-Thanks for pointing it out. unfortunately I am very sensitive to anything that isn't real gold (14k or more.) and I end up with a nasty rash, that itches like mad and then I get bumps and it's just horriable. I have made myself a ribbon that I wear every day though. I don't know if you all can see it, but it's a butterfly on a pink ribbon overlaying a blue ribbon! At one time I thought about selling them but I have hit a road block as that ribbon alone is about $5 and then shipping on top is just not too nice!
Congrats on the Juicy follie. You must share what you name it...I am very bad at keeping up with too many places at once! So I stick with this thread to be honest!

Alana- only positive thoughts Hun!!

And that goes for everyone else as well! LOL

That ribbon is absolutely lovely! I guess you already knew about the butterfly thing then, eh? I bet you could sell those ribbons here. There has to be a way to buy in bulk. I would buy one . You could even make ones with turtles for fertility, and then something else for pregnancy, like the triskele (triple spiral)...see: Triskele (triskelion, triquetrum)

Well, as for naming it, which by the way was Ronni's idea, not mine, they came up with Monet, Julius, and another I forgot. And no, while I may be crazy and name toilets, I have never named my or DH's body parts. But I love the show Scrubs. One episode where J.D. was dating Tara Reid, she called his guy part "little buddy". I thought that was hysterical. Boy I seem to be rambling. I need some ice cream. Today is $1 scoop at Baskin and Robbins!!!

Jen - Why were you holding out on us about the $1 scoops at Baskin Robbins?? I love their mint chocolate chip but considering I couldn't get my engagement ring off after my ice cream adventures last night I think I'll hold off for a while. It was a depressing moment And, I don't blame you for not naming body parts.... slippery slope there!

It's an idea, but I'm worried about the whole solicitation thing...kwim? LOL. I'll be sending one to friend in Florida soon so I'll know how much the shipping costs through that sort of.

Jen, was there a verdict on the follies name?? I haven't seen the other thread yet, I'm going to go searching for it now. Personally I think a big, fat fertile follie needs the name Gertrude. Don't ask me why...Gertrude just sounds like a ripe old fertile gal don't ya think?? lol. By the way, for officially being back on the horse, and for now joining me in the 2ww!!

Heidi, where do all these freebie IVF's come from? Will they take Canadians also? Wow, I've tried to find research trials here and they don't seem to do them. As for your choice now, if you feel emotionally up to it then definately do the FET. If not, book in last minute to your family get together and forget all about TTC for awhile. Either way, don't do anything that makes you feel sad or stressed, it is obviously not the right thing for you if you do feel that way. (hey, Oprah taught me that...shes good at this stuff!)

Rachael, Susan, Shawna, thanks for the positive vibes girls. I seriously love all of you to bits!!

Shelly, you aren't avoiding us are you hun? I would really hate to think we ruined our friendship with some silly political banter.

As for freebees, when I was at the REs office today they had a flyer for seeking people for Sustained Follicle Stimulant Study. I haven't seen any free IVF studies. But each time I go in I check all the flyers/handouts.

Yep, 2WW here I come!!! You'll get your BFP first and tell me what it feels like!!!

Heidi- seems like your clinic does these free trials frequently. Doesn't matter. You'll get pg with your FET. If down the road you decide to have a 3rd, I am sure another trial will come up. If we had to do IVF, I would be searching for trials!!!

Shelly- you aren't mad at us, are you hun? If you want, we can make fun of Hillary... I mean, come on. Your husband cheats on you in front of the entire WORLD and yet you take him back? Personally, I don't care what another person does behind closed doors and I think that whole situation was ridiculous- those stupid journalists were ridiculous for sensationalizing this kind of crap. Who cares who your senator i(or president) is bopping. Or if they are gay. If they do their job, then great! Should a teacher get fired or bagged on if they cheat on their spouse (with an adult, not student)? Should a Mickey D's employee get fired cause they are gay? Stupid! Hmmm... maybe I should lay off the ice cream before bedtime. Making me go political.
Actually, politics makes me laugh. I am pro environment, pro choice, pro stem cell research, pro balancing the budget, against needless war and I would prefer a 30 instead of 40 hour work week. Any candidate with me gets my vote.

I think Gertrude is about to release...kicking out some nice tweaks so I know she is there.

Jen,
I loved your post ice cream rambling lat night. I am with you on the politics. Pro-choice, gay marriage(who really cares who gets married, is it hurting anyone?), totally for stem cell research and I am about as green and as much a tree hugger as you can get. I am planting trees in my neighborhood while companies are cutting them down!
Not for the billions wasted on war, securing oil, impeaching a president because of who is is $%^&ing!

I must say, when I did my trip around the world at the start of the war, almost every country that I visited hated us. all americans. They did not care if I was with or against our president. It's a shame what this world has become because of some really bad choices.
Ok, now I am rambling. Enough.

Tree-hugger here too girls! Except for, of course, my evil gas-guzzling ford SUV!! Yikes...if we had the money we'd buy a hybrid one..its funny how these days you need to be rich to look after the environment. We try to buy sustainable products at the store etc and its always at least TWICE the price, which is insane. Actually, in my design studies I've been very interested in sustainable design etc, and if I decided to continue to pursue that area I would definately want to find a way to make environmental goods available to all. I guess I'll have to harass Home Depot or something.

Meanwhile, I'm no longer Designdiva32...today I am officially a 33.year old diva. Its frustrating as when I first saw my RE I was 31 and he acted like I was young and pregnancy should be easy (yeh right), then when I saw him for this IUI he was like 'how old are you?' and I tell him and he starts acting like time is no longer on my side so he'd better up the follicle amount for the next cycle. I keep thinking how awful it will be if I turn 34 next year and still no baby, I'm just so glad during this time that I've found all you girls on this forum. Thats the best b'day pressie ever!!

Oh deary me... Mama always said never mention politics in polite conversation... haha. 80)

Rachael - No way could you ever get under my skin about stuff like this... I respect opinions no matter how they differ from me... and I agree with you on the healthcare thing... something needs to be done to nationalize this whole "mandated state" thing and help you girls out with the cost of this whole unfortunate situation. Uber rich people shouldn't be the only ones able to procreate... neither should dumb druggie teens either, but that's another story. I got an idea... how 'bout all of you move to MA. We could party it up beantown style down at IVF Boston. 80)

Alana - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Ahh, I love meeting August babies... we always get along so well. I should've guessed you were an August baby. You're the classic Leo if I've ever "met" one... except one thing I don't know about you... how's your temper? 80) Personally, I'll be the first to avoid a fight... but if you push hard enough, look out, you know? Haha... didn't know if you might be the same way. Good ole astrology...

Heidi - I laughed out loud when you told us about Stella opening the bathroom door and telling MIL "I need to give you privacy"... wow. Classic. And the double standard thing? Yeah, that's classic, too. At her age, she's not able to grasp the concept that things she does to other people effect them the way they effect her... the world literally revolves around her in her mind. The ability to "walk in someone else's shoes" doesn't come until 5 or 6. If you said to her, "How would you like it" she probably wouldn't get that it would make the other person feel that way, too. Ahh, great age.

Jen - YAY for Gertrude!! Haha... Gertie better get nice and fertilized for you. You tell her I said so. And the scrubs thing with the "little fellah"... yeah... great moment. haha. Used to be really into scrubs but I don't have tv so I have to buy them on dvd. It's been a while since I've bought any shows. But that reminded me of "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and how she named his "Princess Sofia"... haha. Yeah, I'm not that cruel, though. Anyways, moving on...

haha... yeah, sorry about making such a political stink in here... and then leaving for the night to let everyone stew about it. haha... guess I better heed mama's warning. Ooh, and if I sounded like I was aggravated, no way. The greatest drawback to communication in this technological era is the lack of intonation.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALANA!!

Try not to stress about being 33. Your best years are still to come! (I can say that from experience.)

And just poo poo what your RE says about your age. I've never felt my age (38) until going through this IF stuff. I just about lost it when I went in for my ER in June and I noticed the letters "AMA" highlighted on my wrist band. I asked the nurse what that meant and she said "Advanced Maternal Age". Like it's contagious or something!?! I almost flew out of the bed with my jiggly "old" arse hanging out of the hospital gown to give them all a piece of my mind. Instead, I just laid back, asked for more drugs, and placated myself by realizing they called me "maternal". I chose to focus on that instead.

hey everyone-
I just ordered a used copy of "A Few Good Eggs" on Amazon. It only cost me $1.00! Shelly, was it you that had read it? I cannot remember now! I can pass it around when I am done, though the shipping will cost more than the book!
