Susan - Post coital! That's it. What a weird test. Wait till you ovulate, have s*x, quick get dressed no showering, and go to the gyn for them to scrape fluid out and try to find spermies. Even worse for us was the SA. My gyn doesn't do them in his office. So, it took three different hospitals before finding one. Of course, my gyn sent me to each of these hospitals w/o knowing they didn't do SA so I swear my DH was giving me a sample almost daily and I was driving all around town with his "guys". That's when I knew I needed a specialist

Shelly - I hate my PCP too. She's just *****y and it takes forever to get an appointment. Plus, she never followed up with me after changing my thyroid meds and it took my 6 months to get it straightened out. I'm chicken too. I hear great things about another doctor in the practice so I really want to just magically switch over. If your having yeasty troubles, then you should try to see a gyn instead of a PCP. Did you try acidophilus already? I can't remember. I only see my PCP for bad colds, fevers etc.

Here's a good one. Back in the day, when DH and I were doig IUI, before IVF, I used to have to pick up Dh's sperm one hour after he did his business in the cup, and walk down three flights of stairs, through two buildings and then cross a busy main street, all with a white paper bag in my hand with our last name across it!!! I was always afraid that I would trip while crossing the street and that bottle would come flying out in traffic as I watched in fear when it broke on the street!!! Talk about major stress. And that was two days in a row every month for six months!

I feel for you Susan! I was so embarrassed just wandering around hospital and asking them where to drop off my DH's SA! I finally told hubby he was going to have to go do it in person. This was after I had started crying at the desk of the third lab b/c they said they closed at 2pm and it was 2:15 and no one had told us. The things we do At least we can laugh about it.

Jen - you'll enjoy this... here are all the ongoing studies at my clinic right now

Hey? Where are my Kiwi friends???? Alana and Heidi, I just remembered the Maori Haka dance that the All Blacks used to do before the game. I remember always wanting to learn this. Do you girls know the dance? It's so intimidating (though I know it was meant to be thi way for war)!!! I love it.

Susan, I could probably pull out some Haka moves. Although as you know, it's something that's taken pretty seriously so I wouldn't flaunt them in my homeland, ha ha.

Here's some links to the Haka for those who aren't familiar. I guess I'm homesick because I teared up watching them:

YouTube - ALL BLACKS HAKA (BEST ON YOU TUBE!)=

YouTube - Maori Haka at the Auckland Museum

I used to have fun trying to do the poi dances:
YouTube - Maori Poi @ Te Papa

Alana, I have a kiwi aunt coming to visit next week. I'm trying to think of stuff for her to bring. Milo will be a good start and Marmite. It costs us$4.99 for a little jar here.

Hey Girls!!!

Sorry I couldn't chime in last night- I couldn't get on to the site. I hate that.

I have to go to those links and check them out...

A for GPs, mine is an idiot. I go when I know I need antibiotics, because regardless of what I have, he will prescribe these for me. I went when I had migranes, and of course he gave me antibiotics. But I found a chiropractor and he took that problem away. Since we can test for strep at work (we make strep kits), when I have a sore throat, I test at work. Other than that, I figure my annual exam at my ob/gyn is good enough.

Ronni- you cracked me up on the AMA thing. Glad you took it as maternal. Stupid doctors coming up with stupid names.

I am so tired. Cat kept me up last night. Now I gotta get ready for work (yuck, still working with RSV: respiratory syncytial virus...).

Just checking in before I check out for a few days. Bummer.
We're off to MIL's as BIL and family are visiting. I hate sleeping at other people's houses, even inlaws. Also, MIL gets up at 4:30AM to start work and starts grinding coffee in the kitchen. Nothing stops her from her routine.

Don't have too much fun without me. Okay, you can, it'll give me something to read when I get back.

Thanks for the links Sunny! I loved watching them. I used to love watching the Poi dances too I thought the women looked so beautiful doing it.

I tried Vegemite in Oz but not Marmite. What's that like?

I have not been around for a while still trying to get my wedding picture together for all of you. I was laughing so hard when I was reading all the post about well everything. My car's name is "little red II" but I use to have a huge deta '88 named "Hank" he was a great car for college because everyone and I mean everyone could fit in him to go to parties (obviously this was a while ago).

I also had to laugh at all the coital test talk. I mean who really believes that those will go well. No one has ever told me before that I have to have sex right now, in the morning, before I am fully awake and then drive to the doctor's office (for me a 1 hour drive) I can only amagine how this whole thing must have felt for DH.

I also just watched the video for the song "I Would Die For That" and I cried the whole way through I did not see who sang that song does anyone know maybe I am not looking in the correct place as I do not know that much about U-Tube. I do not remember who posted it (just read like 10 pages of this forum) but thank you so much it was wonderful.

I received the meds for my FET yesterday so I only need to wait for AF to get things started.

Baby dust to all who are in the 2 week wait and all about ready to start the next step. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

It looks like some things have changed on here but maybe I just do not know what I am talking about I am so confused about this site now.

Kellie Coffey - She's a country singer.

Got a call from the IVF coordinator today... said we've got one more insurance hoop to go through... but this one I'm very very very happy about... don't quite know what they call it. When I get my period, they'll do an ultrasound and flush my uterus with saline while they're watching on the ultrasound. They'll be looking for polyps, lesions, scar tissue or anything else that might hinder me getting and staying pregnant. This is exactly what I was worried about going into this procedure... just because I can fertilize eggs doesn't mean they'll stick around... so with them picking out the two bestest (like my scientific classification?) embryos and putting them in the bestest environment... that will just make the bestest pregnancy, right? Oh yeah... I'm ready.

Shelly - Great news about your IVF!! You're almost there! I did that test too where they flush your tubes and uterus with water. They found a "shadow" in my uterus and thought it was a fibroid so it was good to know before we went forward with the in-vitro. Don't worry, it wasn't painful. The worst part was the few seconds it takes to thread the catheter and that was only b/c I have a weird curve in my cervix. Another good thing my RE learned before the transfer.

mmikowski - Welcome back!

JustPeachy thanks for the welcome back and I hope you are feeling good. How is Aidan? I love that name but my DH does not. I have been talking about that name for about 8 years but does not seem that I will be able to use it unless he changes his mind.

Shellyhume, thanks for the name.
